Rustlers, Scorpions Try to Wrestle Ring Road
4 Attachment(s)
The Rams have played the most OL games by far and their success rate will make them tough to catch as the schedule blooms. Terra Incognita actually leads in percentage, but has played just four games. Sierra Vista, with just three games in, is the other club that would seem to pose any challenge to Ring Road, even this early in the season.

Update for the Bombers, it's not going well! But I'm not the worst team in the league so that's a positive, especially being F2P given what this league looks like. In the bottom 10 though. |

Iron update:
Apparently I270 doesn't run through either Cochise County or Vlora, as they have both finished their OL schedule, while Daytona and the Muse have a bunch of games left against each other. |
Talk about taking your eye off the ball...
Apparently the GM for the K-Town Rock Piles was...distracted...during last season (9 days ago in real time), and after making a AH bid for 98 OVR Walter Johnson, promptly forgot about him.
So, guess who I happen to see on the Rock Piles inactive list tonight? The Rock Piles GM will receive a stern talking to when he returns from his strategy seminar with Brian O'Halloran. |

Silver league update:
Streaking Syrups pad their lead heading into the dog days of summer. Overall, still only Hartford in a playoff position, but K-Town (0.5 games back) and Waffletown (1.5 games back) have closed the gap on the final wild card spots. |

longest game Waffletown has ever been in.... so long you can't even see the final innings/score in the box score
24 inning super marathon... Syrups prevail 9-5 after scoring 4 runs in the top of the 24th (bonus of having a bullpen of old timey starting pitchers is they can each go 4+ innings... one fully rested reliever left for tomorrow ) |
Puppies found their niche. I pray they don’t get bumped to diamond.

Before I get into the standings-I am going to be doubles at work for the next two weeks so my posting of standings are going to be relegated to weekends only for another two weeks.
Cary shows as the leader but they are one game short of qualifying for title and being the lone team in the AC their OL schedule is complete. Kansas is currently in the drivers seat. With three OL games remaining if they go 2-1 vs. Highland in that series they clinch title. Shinbone is the only other team with games remaining, I didnt do the math but it seems they are close to, if not eliminated even if they win their seven remaining games. In PT play Cary holds a 3 game lead in the WC in the AC while over in the NC Kansas trails in its division by 3.5 and currently holds down the top WC spot. Meanwhile Coney Island has punched its ticket back to Gold next week. The Warriors celebrated their lack of success with Champagne flowing in the clubhouse. Clinching so early really takes the pressure off, nothing worse than the tension of battling for that final spot as the season winds down. |
Rams Still Lead Four Way Race in OL B209
4 Attachment(s)
Ring Road remains in the driver's seat, but with a busy schedule for two of their main rivals, Fort Huachuca and Terra Incognita, the race is not over. The Rams magic number is six over the Buffalo Soldiers, with Ring Road having seven left to play, indicative of how wide open the race still is. Even Sierra Vista, which finished it's OL play at .625, remains in the hunt. It should be noted that all of the seven games the Rams have left are with Transylvania, against whom Ring Road is 8-4.

Puppie Magic Number Down to Four in OL G328
3 Attachment(s)
Palolo, with eight games left to play, need only go .500 to clinch the crown. Four of the games are on the road at Norwood. While the Diamonders have the steepest hill to climb, they also have a dozen games left, enough to make a miracle run possible, with the help of a slump by Palolo. With five games against second place Krikkit, Norwood is in a position to make its own luck through winning play.
There are still no teams in relegation. |
