Hello. Is there any known photos of Tom Phoebus in a Richmond Braves Uni? He was ACQ. By the Braves Oct. 20,1972. And played for Richmond in 1973. Also, are there any photos of these players in a Richmond Uni? 1. Rich Barry 2. David Gourieux 3. Rick Joseph 4. Marlan Murphy 5. Guy Rose 6. Michael Walseth?

Rich Barry

This is the best photo I could find of Barry in a Richmond uniform, and it's not very good. It's from the Richmond Times Dispatch of June 2, 1972.
The only photo I found of Phoebus in a Richmond paper showed him in an Orioles uniform. |
Dave Gourieux

This photo of pitcher Dave Gourieux is from the Richmond Times Dispatch of May 29, 1972.

The quality of this newspaper photo certainly doesn't allow us to see the details of Rick Joseph's face, but it's the only photo I could find of him in a Richmond uniform. It's from the Richmond Times Dispatch of April 27, 1972. I've added a second copy of the same photo, this time published in the August 23, 1972 edition of the same newspaper. It's a little clearer.

Couldn't find him in a Richmond uniform, but here's a pretty good shot of him in a Shreveport Braves uni. From the Shreveport Times of July 23, 1969.

Marlan Murphy

Marlan Murphy is shown here with the Greenwood Braves. The photo is from the Greenwood (SC) Index-Journal of July 30, 1968. I couldn't find one of him with the Richmond Braves. For some strange reason, the search engine wasn't picking his name up well in the Richmond paper.

Jack Damaska

This photo of Jack Damaska with Richmond is from the Richmond Times Dispatch of March 21, 1971.
Gerry Arrigo only pitched in 3 games for the Richmond Braves, so he wasn't around long enough to get his photo in the newspaper. I have no idea who Douglas Vain is. The list of players on the 1971 Richmond Braves team in B-R.com does not contain anyone with the first name Douglas or the surname Vain. |
Bob Duliba

Grady Little

Not sure why you are seeking image of Grady in the context of the 1971 Richmond Braves. In 1971, Grady was a catcher on the Fort Lauderdale Yankees. To my knowledge, he had nothing to do with Richmond until the mid-1990's when he became the team manager.
The image below is his 1994 Fleer/ProCards baseball card while manager of the Richmond Braves. |
Luis Tiant
Tiant was with the Richmond Braves for only one month in 1971 after being released by the Minnesota Twins and before being signed by the Boston Red Sox. I did not find any photos for him in a Richmond uniform, nor for the others for whom I'm not responding.

Tried the search again using just his last name plus the keywords Richmond Braves. Found the following photo in the April 24, 1972 issue of the Richmond Times Dispatch, showing him in the requested Richmond uniform. His face is more filled out in this photo, and it looks more like other photos I've seen of him than does that Greenwood Braves shot above.

Pedro Ramos

I'm not sure that this is a Richmond uniform, since there is no letter "R" on the cap, but it was published in the Richmond Times Dispatch on March 26, 1971 when Pedro Ramos was scheduled to take the mound that day for the Richmond Braves in a spring training game against a Yankee farm team.
