Joseph Prost went 3 for 5 with a home run, leading the Blue Jays to an 8-6 win over the Yankees. That marks the 5th straight victory for Toronto and they are out of the basement! David Roberts also homered for the Jays. Daniel Wood left the game after being hit in the hand while batting. It is expected that he will ride the pine for up to a week. Mike Marshall has had quite a career resurgence! The Jays claimed him as a Rule Five player from the Angels... and now they have signed him to a three year contract extension for a total of $1.8 million!
