Ugh. Teams are cutting draft picks and I don't even know why . . .

No financials.
No roster limits for the rookie league.

Um . . .

I guess there has to be a story because I do not have the ability to fight them all.

I am about to test financials to see if that solves this stupidity.

StLee 04-30-2022 10:29 PM

Tried testing different possibilities and same problem. Going to the main board to see if there is something to solve this. The #2 overall pick was among the dropped, which makes 0.0000000% sense.

In my current state of mind, this is a dynasty breaker. I may rewind time and go back to OOTP 22 for the dynasty. Or I may stay right here in time until multipatches are out. How do I solve this?

Only thing I can think of story wise is you could say draftees went on "strike" and demanded release because minor league wages were too low. Or something along that line.

I think it might be better to go back to 22. I've always aired on the side of caution with importing a game to the new version early, as there's always little issues with the new game and the overall change of code between them.

I seem to have found the problem of having the minimum age set too high in the CBO. Even though I set the GBRL to be a lower age, I suppose the program looks at the major league age range first. Well, I hope that my players do not jump into the CBO too soon. Then again, I did have 16 year olds in the league in 2296.

Great to hear!

Fhew, Crisis Averted.

BRyMcBourbon 05-01-2022 11:09 PM

I’ll also admit to being a little concerned

Thank you all for your concern. I am not going to report on all of that craziness of transactions. I moved every single player (pretty much the entire draft) back to their original draft teams, and their histories can remain messed up forever.

Now, let's look at how some of the Season Pass Association changed . . .

Dragon Break in Fallout confirmed.

StLee 05-03-2022 05:52 PM

from a terminal

I look back over the years and see the bigger picture now. We are not unique. There is more out there, and the Mysterious Stranger has something to do with it. I must report this to someone. Isn't Nate Howard in the know? What does he know? This Mysterious Stranger intrigues me.

I set up a borrowed movie camera near the cave where I sometimes see signs of him being. One time, I tried to enter that cave, but something made me rethink that strategy. I am not sure if he is benevolent. That's why I set up the camera, waiting to see him emerge, to see what he does. How does he blip around all over the place without a teleporter?

Not intrigue. I am obsessed. The terminal at the hideaway. It reads only this:

11.2.2301

A E R O T E C H
They're Mutants.
They're Champs.

I never heard of the Dragon Break before, but hit up the Elder Scrolls wiki. There have always been multiverses in my creative writing. Realities are multitudinous!

BNN Weekly Report

This Week in the CBO, BMU, and GBRL

by Nat Wright-Kawolski

3 January 2302

News and Updates Around the CBO

Here are a few things that have been happening since the 2301 Rookie Draft:

Friday, January 3rd, 2302
Diamond City Swatters team owner Moe Cronin has taken a special interest in the BYDL's Diamond City Newsboys team. Cronin has been inviting players currently on the Newsboys to practice with the Swatters. Some around the league question if that is giving the Newsboys unfair privilege over other teams in the BYDL. There has been no word from the CBO League Office, also located in Diamond City in the upper press box area of The Great Green Jewel, the Swatters' home park.

Wednesday, December 25th , 2301
The Atom Cats traded 29-year old minor league RHP Sam Teflon and 19-year old minor league C DeAndre Johnson to the The Slog Ghouls, getting 32-year old RHP Ryan Radaway in return.

Sunday, December 15th, 2301
Recently acquired by Atom, RP Kyle Kyleson, Jr., has been reported missing after the armed caravan he was traveling with was attacked by super mutants. A Brotherhood of Steel special task force has been sent to the attack area seeking survivors. There is no current information about Kyleson.

Friday, December 13th , 2301
The FHE Yao Guai traded 28-year old minor league 3B Jerry Leftnut, 21-year old minor league LHP Elliot Ben-Refael, and 20-year old minor league CF DuWeb Bois to the Grape Painted Ghouls, getting 22-year old CF Willy Mazehaze in return.

Thursday, December 5th , 2301
The Warwick Mirelurks traded 33-year old minor league SS Jonathan Sapplicker and 23-year old minor league 1B Matt Morrison to the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys, getting 23-year old minor league RF Kyle Wargo and 22-year old minor league CF Ralph DeYoe in return.

Saturday, November 23rd , 2301
The Sunshine Tidings Chemists traded 22-year old SS Chris Wickliffe, 21-year old minor league RF Shane Rutherford, and 22-year old minor league RHP Erik Wipf to the Vault 81 Dwellers, getting 38-year old minor league RHP Curt Redcoats, 36-year old RHP Josh Mustang, 29-year old LF Skyler Pickpocket, and 22-year old RHP Danny Haines in return.

Friday, November 22nd , 2301
The The Slog Ghouls traded 35-year old 3B Stoop Bugwing and 21-year old LHP Bry McBourbon to the Lexington Synths, getting 23-year old CF Chris Eakle and 20-year old minor league 2B Lick Doe in return.

Name/Uniform Changes Around the CBO Universe

The Cabot House Rayguns (BMU) have changed their team name to the Cabot House Triggermen for the 2302 season. In the youth leagues, the Hope Lurk Grinders (PJPL) have changed their team name to Hope Firestarters.

https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1651666287
https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1651666287

CBO teams are now following the Salem Witch Hats' lead behind their "Sunday, Bloody Sunday" red home jerseys for Sunday games. Now all teams will have an alternative uniform when they play Sunday home games. Three--Nordhagen Beach, Fort Hagen, and Diamond City--are shown below in our picture attachments [which are not yet adjusted for the new 3D design template].

StLee, I just spent an hour going over your dynasty league... just the first 14 pages... it is so wonderful, I am going to eventually read all 128 pages.

It is really fabulous... the graphics are too weird for me, so is the storyline... you know me, strictly traditional... but they are superbly done and so creative and well-written.

I'm going back and read your entire dynasty report... you are a brilliant writer and storyteller.

IMHO this is one of the best dynasty because of your attention to details... not only do you have great graphics, but you are a fine and interesting writer.

Thank you so much for the kind words. Did I mention I recently did a presentation at a conference in Natchitoches on this dynasty and dynasty writing in general? I even brought up you as an example of how dynasty writing is even performed by octogenarians.

This dynasty is a lot of madness, and it has a lot of inside information for people who play the Fallout games, though I have tried to expand the madness of that universe to my own peculiar style of narrative.

I hope you can enjoy it!

Speaking of knowing some things about you. You may like the Atom Cats. They are a bunch of greaser, hot rod-loving guys and gals of the Commonwealth wasteland. Their 50s vernacular is boss, Daddy-o!

Of course, I also create characters named after my favorite dynasty writers. Here is your guy, Ugio Church. He had a rough start to his professional career (2298), but he is coming on strong as a pitching force!

OrangeP47 05-04-2022 05:53 PM

Speaking of over the top graphics, these posts are lighting a fire under me to hurry up and finish my current season so I can port to 23 and finally get some custom pants for my teams. Looks great, the work you've done!

Yep, even us Octogenarians get a kick out of your team names and players names... I'm sure your dynasty league will be some groovy entertainment for us old geezers.

I'm only using the default designs for pants, so that has been the easiest part of creating team uniforms. I'm sure some people in the mods section have created lots of different templates for Photoshop/Gimp/etc.

The naming of players is my favorite creative enterprise of the entire dynasty! :D
