Standings https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1655816909 Team Power Rankings Weekly Team Power Rankings: Here are the current team power rankings for Commonwealth Baseball Organization: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1655816909 Analysis The quarter mark came and went, and now the usual powers are all gathered at the top, while some teams are already counting the days to the 2302 Rookie Draft. Here's the Top 5. #1 Nordhagen Beach - Flying back to the top where they finished in 2301, the Party Boys had a stellar week compared to the other top teams in the CBO. The boys started the week by splitting with Sunshine Tidings (#8) before dismantling The Slog's (#20) chances to get in the playoffs hunt in the first quarter of the season. Nordhagen Beach now has a three-game lead over County Crossing (#6) in the Brotherhood League and a six-game advantage over 3rd-place Finch Farm (#17) putting the Boys in an early power position. #2 Fort Hagen - Despite a down week (2-3), the Silver Shroud remains as the #2 team this week. The Shroud got swept by an up-and-down Easy Town (#22) team before winning two of three in their Institute League matchup against Starlight (#15). The series victory over the Lady Killers helped the Shroud to a two-game lead over Lexington (#13) and a three-game lead over the Chemists and Killers in a relatively competitive league. #3 University Point - Other than falling out of the top spot this week, the Deathclaws do not have much to worry about, at least not yet. University Point, however, has to be disappointed in a 1-4 week, including a weekend sweep at the hands of Goodneighbor (#14), which was able to climb back to .500 on the season. Earlier in the week, the Claws split with FHE (#11). Despite only one win, UP is tied with the Party Boys for the CBO's best record. #4 Atom - Like their Minutemen League counterparts, the Cats struggled this week, going 2-3. Atom split with a suddenly hot Vault 81 (#12) team before losing two of three against a secretly good Quincy (#10) team. With the bad weeks for both the Claws and Cats, the ML is now much tighter from positions 1-5 then it had been. University Point holds a game lead over the Cats, three-game lead over Jamaica Plain (#7), which had a 4-1 week, and a four-game lead over the Gunners. #5 Diamond City - With a 3-2 week, the Swatters now have a one-game lead in the Railroad League over the Yao Guai and Roxbury (#9). Diamond City split with Warwick (#21) and then won two of three over Egret (#23). Best 5 Pitchers Per League After 30 (Qualified pitchers only) NCA 1. Well, looking at their record on a fast-track to the worst record ever, I decided to move player around as best as I can to help them hopefully win 40 games on the season. With there being only 73 games left, I highly doubt that could happen. |

Standings https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1656184430 Team Power Rankings Weekly Team Power Rankings: Here are the current team power rankings for Commonwealth Baseball Organization: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1656184430 Analysis There are some heavy risers and fallers this week with the polar opposites being Vault 81's nine-game winning streak, while Oberland is falling further into Oblivion with a nine-game losing streak. The T-51s have been so bad that Commissioner Nate Howard has stepped in to help them become a little more competitive. That will not happen in 2302, but we will feature the T-51s and looks at how one of the strongest teams at the beginning of the CBO may be its worst ever in 2302. For the rest, let's take a look at the BNN Top 5. #1 University Point - The Deathclaws reclaimed the top spot after a 4-1 week with a split at Egret (#23) and a sweep of Warwick (#21). On the negative side, the Claws are a but banged up and got even worse news that they will not have C Shawn Cherry (.316/1/8) until late August after he suffered a severe ankle injury. They may need to make a move for a catcher since promoted C James Lebron is not considered to be a CBO-level catcher at this point. #2 Nordhagen Beach - The Party Boys did not dominate, but they did have a decent 3-2 week in splitting with Concord (#12) and winning two of three over County Crossing (#14). RF Jonathan Angelou earned Player of the Week honors, and the Boys are probably going to run away with the Brotherhood League. Now with a five-game lead over second-place County Crossing, Nordhagen Beach will probably not look back with the NCA's 2nd-best runs scored and the CBO's best in runs allowed. #3 Fort Hagen - The Silver Shroud remain on pace with Nordhagen Beach for the NCA's top record with a 4-1 week. The Shroud split with Salem (#20) and then swept the reeling Abernathy Adamantium (#22). Fort Hagen also has a comfortable lead in the Institute League, leading both Lexington (#9) and Sunshine Tidings (#10) by four games. #4 Vault 81 - As mentioned in the introduction, the Vault Dwellers have won nine straight, including all five this week on the road. Vault 81 won both games at Quincy (#19) before dismantling the Ninjas on the weekend. Already considered to be a good pitching team (tied for 2nd in the SCA in runs allowed), the offense has suddenly exploded across the board and is in the top 4 in the SCA in all offensive categories, including 1st in stolen bases (30). With the return of star RF Aesed Hayjen to the lineup, they may be the favorites in a tight Railroad League with Roxbury (#6) currently a game up on Vault 81 and Diamond City (#8). #5 Jamaica Plain - Another hot team in the SCA, the Minutemen League's Red Rockets have won four games for the second-straight week. This week, they split at Roxbury and then swept the Gunners, who went 0-5 on the week. The Rockets' offense exploded this week, scoring at least 8 runs in all four wins with their sole loss being a 5-2 final. Feature Story: Oberland on a Major Decline to Nowhere The Oberland T-51s are currently 6-29 (.171) and look to get worse by the day. This past week, Commissioner Nate Howard stepped into the team facilities and with the help of some of the top OSN scouts started looking at ways to help this Oberland team win a few more games, or at least make this season the worst shape they will be in. One of the first questions that Howard had for the team was regarding owner August Oberland and the amount of money he is currently investing in his team. With the opening of Oberland Stadium, Owner Oberland has seemed to be short on caps. Some speculate that the shortage may have been due to unseemly loans, but we will not pursue that as fact at this moment. One fact is for sure, something has gone quite wrong in Oberland. From 2296-2298, the T-51s won the Railroad League all three years. Since then, they have finished 3rd, 5th, and 5th, and seem to be entrenched in 6th for the first time this season. Looking at the 2298 team, it seems obvious how the team started its decline. In that season, 7 of its 13 pitchers used were 30 or over. Though it is not possible for there to be trade value for players over 30, many of the top value players, especially among pitchers, seem to be in their lower 20s. The only pitcher from that team considered still at top value is SP Sheng Kawolski now with the Diamond City Swatters. The hitters were younger in 2298, but not entirely. Among regulars in 2298, 1B Curtis Slingshot was 32, 3B Jeremy Bugs was 28, and C Dan Neo was 27. Of the young stars of that time, CF B.J. Perez was just 21, but he was traded this offseason to Sunshine Tidings, along with CF Ricky Ticky Laughy, for the rights to the 2nd-overall pick. That may turn out to be a good move in the future since they landed the expected future star, SS Cope Kearns, with that pick. Overall, though, looking at the 2298 team gives a window on how the T-51s were looking to win it all right away, but made no concessions for their future. This week, Howard started setting up deals by giving incentives to other teams to participate in those deals. If there was some slight disagreement in the weight of the deal, Howard awarded cap compensation to the owners of those teams with no deal rated as a "steal" by the OSN scouts. Howard started with a deal to help Quincy now and set up Oberland with a couple of future prospects when they sent SP Matt Udder to the Gunners for prospects CF Da Game (11th overall pick in the 2300 Draft) and SS Bill Mahan (4th-round pick in the 2301 Draft). Howard then had Oberland send CL Freedom Williams to University Point in exchange for some guys who could contribute to the 2302 T-51s. They included SP Gary Stallworth, C Surf Jardine, 1B Judge Sharp, SP Ronnie Messenger, and RP Bobby Lidtke. Stallworth and Messenger are expected to enter the Oberland rotation. Finally, Howard had the T-51s flip Jardine to County Crossing for three more prospects in 2B Jax Stoneman, SP Rouge Iorres, and SS Justin Tootles. Looking at the team, they will need more help, especially at pitching, but they probably need to consider using Howard as a consultant since GM Y4-25 Godlike has not seemed to be able to improve on the original T-51s teams. Starting pitching has been an abysmal 2-26 (7.95) with only injured ace Ben Rodgers (2-1, 4.86) getting any starting victories before suffering a season-ending injury. Rayburn Point (22-13) is still atop the Fog Division while the Dalton Farm Fog Crawlers (23-12) stay atop yet again in the Harbor Division. The Patcheyes have won their last six games, with second-place Echo Lake (19-16) losing their last three. Both Rayburn Point and the Harbormen were tied atop the division just three days ago. The Patcheyes won the last three games of their four-game series against Grand Hotel to start the week and then won the first three games against Eden Meadows. That series concludes today. The Fog Crawlers went 4-2 on the week, starting by winning their last three games at Acadian in a four-game series. Then, they won only one of the first three games at Far Harbor. As of today, the Fog Crawlers hold a one-game lead over the Acadians. Player of the Week LF James Darling, Dalton Farm, 10/24 (.417), 2 HR, 12 RBI, 6 R MDIL Report More deja vu. In the MDIF, LF John Echolake, National Park, was the Player of the Week. He was 10 for 19 with five homers and 12 RBI. In the GDIL, Echo Point's SP Kevin Humphrey was the top player. Humphrey went 2-0 on the week in 10.2 innings. He struck out 5, held a 0.84 ERA, and held batters to a .200 average on the week. |
Good story on the T-51s. Ironically though I want to shift gears to something else in that post that caught my eye, I saw we had a no-hitter. Was wondering how many total we'd had, and if there'd been a perfect game. That tab is one of my favorite tabs to check out in my own series.

Confession
I am obsessed with creation. I have been making new plans for the creation of a bunch of "stuff" for the CBO. I am bound by the map, so the CBO will not be going to NukaWorld or Cape Cod, for example. Here is the spoiler that may not be that much of a spoiler: there will be an expansion in the CBO future. It will actually be in the 2311 season based on my soon-to-be intertwining timeline. By my pace, that means it will be 2024 our time before that happens, but it will be. I have already started filling in the gaps to be in congruence with the eventual reopening of the subway system.
CBO's BL = Nahant, IL = Cambridge, ML = South Boston (returning to Goodneighbor's old stadium--the Hancocks have a downtown stadium where Postal Square used to play), and RL = Vault 95, which will be called Glowing Sea. Where I am struggling is figuring out where their BMU and GBRL affiliates will be. A few marked places on the map (and maybe a need to rename some places or go back to "real" geographical names some more). First, I would probably move a few GBRL teams into the BMU. Still have 10 locations to figure out, including replacing Nahant and Vault 95 as locations. Some locations that could fit into the GBRL then: 1. Fort Hagen area. Right now, there is Fort Hagen and Fiddler's Green. A GBRL team out there could work. 2. I could do the same with Natick Banks. 3. Covenant 4. Tenpines Bluff 5. Bedford Station 6. Renamed Boston Police Rationing Site (working with Mass Pike Tunnel) 7. Gunner's Plaza - Renamed to BNN 8. Dunwich Borers - Need to create/complete the storyline related to the ban 9. Damn, I may have go off map. 10. No idea. Rethinking expansion already or expanding beyond the map. Why is Nuka World off limits again? I know you're also a huge fan, OrangeP47. I also think Pockets Aintfull is, too, if I'm remembering correctly. Are there any other places on the Fallout 4 map I have not covered? I don't want to spoil everything, but I have considered some other location change storylines. I will wait to see where history takes us before making those decisions, though. |

Love this generated headline:
"5-Game Suspensions for Stabb-Human Fight" "I don't think I did anything wrong. I think my actions were justified." Those were the words of Lexington's Shane Stabb after a game between the Synths and Lady Killers, which featured a benches-clearing fight. The league did not agree, however. Both Stabb and the Lady Killers Ray Human will be suspended 5 games because of their actions. Stabb has a .295 average and a .352 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 28 hits, 3 home runs and driven in 8 runs. On the season Human has 5 wins and 1 loss and a 4.14 ERA. |
You're lucky I remember the maps are on page 101, or rather, that's both an easy to remember number and fitting for Fallout, heh. I'd vote for BNN, it sounds like the most "normal" sounding place that's also centrally located. Tenpines is also good. It's kind of a crap settlement, but it has a certain charm, possibly because it's one of the first places most players encounter, but hey, charm is charm. I'd almost say doing something with the Glowing Sea is an option, but to be "realistic" I dunno if you could make the deadline, and that feels like it'd be TOO big a plotpoint to use for this. If you had to go off map, a safer bet might say Gloucester is being resettled. Doesn't look too far from Salem.

I'm gonna come back to this, because while I still think the 'tech level' in your story isn't ready for it, it's a really cool idea I can't stop thinking about, but what if the Children of the Atom had a dome stadium in the Glowing Sea, the Atom Dome, if you will?
