Ahh I see. I found the thread in your signature. Since I like to make stadiums all over the world (mostly real stadiums but some fictional ones, too), this may be something I can help with down the line.

Flying Canuck, would you be willing to work on the occasional minor league ballpark? Looks as if regular work on league by league creation stopped part of the way through AA and since then just random ones have been made. I'd love to see one of the missing minors ballparks get some love

Which one would you like to see done? I'll take a look and add to my list.

I don't think I can commit to do all of the missing minor league parks since that will take all my bandwidth away from doing other things. So let's treat this case by case, alright?

ALP21 05-14-2024 07:06 PM

Any chance you would consider adding First National Bank Field (Greensboro Grasshoppers, High A) and Maimonides Park (Brooklyn Cyclones, High A) to your list?

Oh goodness no... didn't mean to sound like I was asking for all the missing stadiums. I'd have to get to the computer to see what's missing in the double A Eastern league, I update this is later today with a few of the missing double A stadiums and you can see if any of them interest your creative juices.

I looked into them and really like the "in the middle of the city" vibe of First National Bank Field. Once I am done with my current batch, I'll find time to work on that one for sure. As for Maimonides, l'll have to think about how to best present the theme park backdrop. So can't commit to that one for now.

Hey, no worries. I am always working on models. Some of them are quicker and some really take time. Just post specifics and I'll check it out.

Estadio Antonio Herrera Gutierrez

Next we travel to Venezuela again. This stadium opened its doors in 1970 and becomes the home of Cardenales de Lara in LVBP. First thing I noticed is the interesting roof + awning combination (which took a bit of effort to emulate), and the larger than usual outfield. Not surprisingly, OOTP's ballpark factor auto calculation results in higher hits and lower HRs.

Because I will actually use this one for Lara Cardenales in my game, the Cardenales logo around the dugouts and wordmark on top of the scoreboard are included in the model. Those are kept separately in the texture folder. So if you don't want them, they can be replaced by a blank png, or switched to other graphics. Just make sure it's the same name and size.

Sounds good! No problem!

Estadio Antonio Herrera Gutierrez: Another winner! I've got to expand my horizons beyond the Great Lakes and include some CA/SA teams.

Alright, I've done enough homework to build my next two stadiums. I decided to shuffle things around and work on requested stadiums first. I'm targeting to finish them within June. After that, my kids get out of school and we have several plans during summer that will really slow things down in terms of stadium building :)

First National Bank Field in Greensboro --> early to mid June
Turtle Creek Stadium in Traverse City --> mid to late June

First National Bank Field

This is a minor league stadium in Greensboro, North Carolina. I really like how they developed the area. The stadium and all the surrounding buildings fit so well together.

It must be so nice to live in that Carroll apartment where you can enjoy the pool and watch the game at the same time. The First National Bank office is also cool. Together with other features like a playground, party zones, grass slopes, this place should be super fun for visitors and locals alike.

Would you kindly consider Chattanooga 's AT&T stadium? I've been going to their games for almost decades and always have love for the park. I doubt you'd be able to find much yet for the new stadium they are building but still would love old AT&T either way. I know you laid out months worth of plans but whenever time allows... I'd be very grateful

No problem. I'll keep this one in mind and add it to my list!

Canuck, extended applause for the detail in First National Bank Park. This stadium is head and shoulders above what I've been able to produce over the years. You've moved into an entirely different league.

Thank you my brother. Your compliment means a lot, especially coming from a fellow stadium modder. You know full well that it can be long and taxing to make one. And there is still so many ballparks out there :D

I will continue to contribute as much as I can. Thanks again for the encouragement!

Turtle Creek Stadium

Ty's home ballpark is now in the game~ This is Turtle Creek Stadium in Traverse City, Michigan. The main ballpark structure looks more like residential houses than a baseball stadium. I really want to bring out that uniqueness in this model. But to do that, every little detail must be there. I paid attention to the colors, window/door style, fences, table and chairs..... even the trees have to look somewhat similar.

I know how much it means to have a good recreation of your hometown stadium. I felt it when I put my own hometown Nat Bailey Stadium in OOTP. That one was a while ago and could be done much better now. Maybe one day I will revisit The Nat and improve it. Anyways, hopefully I've done a decent job with Turtle Creek here :)

Last minute note: I just remembered that Ty actually wanted the older version of the stadium (Wuerfel Park). The only difference seems to be the scoreboard. Thus, I quickly put together Wuerfel Park's scoreboard texture in the exact same size. Both are in the texture folder. In order to use Wuerfel Park's scoreboard, just rename the file to Scoreboard_day.png.

Thank you so much!

This will be used frequently...as I always have Traverse City in my minor leagues now. I'm also still working, albeit slowly, on a Lower Peninsula league. It's a beauty, too! I'm so grateful.

Estadio de Beisbol Monterrey

Located in Monterrey, Mexico, Estadio de Beisbol Monterrey is home of LMB's Monterrey Sultanes and also commonly known as "Palacio Sultán". I've wanted to build my version of the stadium for some time now, because Sultanes is a great name and calling their stadium the "Palace" also feels cool. I love it when teams market their name and the stadium together :D (like Pittsburgh Penguins and their old arena "Igloo")
