Juice Biancamano

Here is John Biancamano Jr. , who like his father played baseball at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey and also played a single brief minor league season. Juice was a third baseman and unlike his father hit from the left side.

Don Nipp

I'm looking for the likeness of former Pirates farmhand Don Nipp. He was an injury prone catcher in there organization from '60 to '63. 206 games in 4 seasons. In 596 at bats he produced a line of 19 Hr 108 RBI's and hit .295. A native Oklahoman he was a first team All Conference selection for the Sooners in '59 and '60. His last stop was AA Asheville in 1964.

Ralph Holding All American

1 Attachment(s)
Ralph was an All American catcher at Stanford and later played 6 seasons in the Cubs organization from 1958 to 1963. He was never terrible but hardly extraordinary. Holding hit .235 in his professional career with 29 home runs. His baseball career did not end there however. He moved on to Kennedy high school in Fremont, California where Coach Holding enjoyed a 30 year coaching career. Stanford University elected Ralph Holding to its baseball hall of fame in 1974.

Richard "rocky" perone:

Pseudonym of Richard Pfohl who was able to don a wig, lie about his age, and get not one but two shots at minor league pro baseball while well into his 30's: This shot is from 1974.

I don't know. Elizabeth Dailey of the 1949 Peoria Redwings looks as close to this example as any of them in my estimation.

How about not deviating from minor league players on this thread, Lumpkin?

Old Kansas City minor league ballparks

Not exactly looking for a minor league player, but ballpark images - any image of Association Park, Exposition Park or any other venue used by the Kansas City Blues (Cowboys) in the Western League in the 1890s (Yes - I know they used Association Park while in the A.A., a major league, but it was easier to lump the request here).

Thanks for any assistance!

Domingo Carrasquel

Does anyone have a photo of this 60's minor league infielder ? Was he Chico's brother? He played six years in the Dodger's organization and another six in the Mexican league. He could hit but never advanced despite solid numbers.

Billy Klusman

Looking for any non-Old Judge image of Klusman, ideally with the Kansas City team of the mid-to-late 1890s.

Thanks!

Domingo Carrasquel

Domingo Carrasquel is shown in the attached photo with the Green Bay Dodgers. The image is from the Green Bay Press-Gazette of July 20, 1960. According to the Miami Herald of May 3, 1960, Domingo was the brother of Chico Carrasquel. The two played together briefly on the Montreal Royals in the early part of the 1960 season.

Frank Connaughton

Need anything of Frank Connaughton with the K.C. Blues in the mid-to-late 1890s. I already have the image from the KC Journal in 1898. Looking for an actual photo.

Thanks!

That's not Scott Patterson, that's Luke from Luke's Diner.

Dave Prosser

Lumpkin, Dave Prosser is from your request list of 1995 Reds replacement players which you posted on the General Discussion thread. I'm posting him here because he was a career minor leaguer (independent ball).

The photo is from the Feb. 10, 1993 issue of the Tallahassee (FL) Democrat. It shows him in the uniform of Florida A&M. Most of the Florida A&M student body was Afro-American, but Prosser was white.

One of the 17 players on your request list was a former major leaguer -- Chris Brown. You should be able to find his image on his Baseball-reference.com page.

Another of the players made no sense to me -- Mike Polivida. He's not listed in Baseball-reference.com and I got no newspaper hits on him. Are you sure his name is spelled correctly? If not, please re-post, because I'd like to know if I've overlooked a replacement player.

Prosser's baseball-reference.com record is at:

Mike Palivoda

Finally figured out who that 1995 Reds replacement player was. Those misspellings, Lumpkin, make it damn difficult.

This photo of Palivoda comes from the Cleveland Plain Dealer of April 26, 1984. He was an outfielder, and he has no record with baseball-reference.com. In addition to being in the spring camp with the Reds in 1995, he was also in the Indians' spring camp earlier that year before being traded to the Reds for "future considerations." He had played baseball for Ohio University.

Eric Jaques

Here's another misspelled from your 1995 Reds replacement player request list, Lumpkin. It's Jaques, not Jacquez.

This is his 1989 Star baseball card showing him with the Wytheville Cubs.

Allen Collins

A pitcher who was a 1995 Reds replacement player.

The following webpage has several of his minor league cards. Take your pick:

Trey Draper

A pitcher who was a 1995 Reds replacement player.

The photo is from the Anistan (AL) Star of Jan. 26, 1995. Draper is reading a copy of Baseball Weekly with another prospect during a Brewers tryout camp in Orlando. I think the cap is the Yankees, but guess it could be the Mets. Draper was from Ft. Myers, FL, and attended Barry University.

Jason Evenhus

Evenhus was a pitcher who was a 1995 Reds replacement player.

Not much to pick from on minor league cards for Evenhus, but there is one at:

https://www.tradingcarddb.com/Galler.../Jason-Evenhus

There's a closer view of his face, but as a middle-age man, on Twitter at:

https://twitter.com/oregonsportguy

He was originally from the state of Washington, so it seems reasonable that this fellow involved with sports equipment in the Northwest would be the right Jason Evenhus.
