Esteemed contributers, I've always liked browsing this forum for all the great images of the past. I'm currently in the process of putting together a collection of uniforms for the old American Association teams (1902-1962) and later the other major minor leagues. Do any of you have photo references for these teams throughout the years? I'm currently working on the Toledo Mud Hens (have Louisville, Columbus and Indianapolis, see here.
I'm trying to pull at least one jersey from each decade, more if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any color information would be bonus, too. I wouldn't ask for too much trouble if it is a hefty request. Feel free to PM. Thank you and keep up the good work! |

tnfoto, these are great, thank you! I did find this photo of Casey Stengel when he played/managed for Toledo in the mid-to-late 1920's. His cap is was struck me. Looks like the lighter part of it could be the 'road gray' of the jersey?

Is anyone on this thread looking for particular photos, or just posting images? Let me know, and I will see if I can help with the minor league stuff. I have a ton of vintage minor league photos (literally thousands of actual photographs, "team issued" photos and press photos). So please let me know if there's particular photos anyone is looking for.

I recognized one name right off from your list and that is Brian Poldberg who was a catcher here with the Nashville Sounds in 1982. He was property of the New York Yankees and the level was AA - Southern League. Best of luck with your project and I will see if I have any other matches. :)
