by Evan Guy Cherry on Top: Ghoulrillas take 12th Season Pass Association Series The Cherry Ghoulrillas are champions of the Season Pass Association. They polished off the National Park Gulpers in the decisive game 4-0 to capture the series 4-2. Swamp Dantin's three-run bomb in the 3rd inning made the difference. Five different Ghoulrillas pitchers combined for the shutout. At the postgame press conference, the winning manager, Kevin Hollow, commented, "This is the reason you play this game. To get this trophy says you are not only the best team in your league, you are the best from several leagues. It is a very special feeling to win this Season Pass Association trophy." The Ghoulrillas won the 4th pennant to qualify for the overall crown. Cherry compiled a record of 53-37 in the South Bradberton Division during the regular season. This marks their second SPA Series title with the first coming in 2307. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1730577530 Game 1 Barron, Ghoulrillas Take Dramatic Game 1 for 1-0 Series Lead The Cherry Ghoulrillas took the first game of the Season Pass Series in dramatic fashion, topping the National Park Gulpers, 7-6, in an extra-inning walk-off win. A jovial mood filled the air as National Park celebrated into the night. The city's mayor said parade plans were underway and a "huge celebration" would be in order. The Vault 81 catcher had a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Dwellers on top, 1-0. For the game, Vargas had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats. Vargas called the win the result of "everyone being in sync." The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Third Rail Stadium in Boston. Party Boys first round exit! And a sweep on top of that! Maybe this is the end of the line?
Or they just feel bad for everyone else and will be back to win or get near next year Happy to see Jamaica Plain take care of business, but now they have to take on the Rad Sox. In terms of entertainment, however, not much for the fans. Pretty much felt like an MLB wild card round. Hoping for more excitement next round |

Ayag Mour did not play well against his former team, and it could have cost Roxbury. Though I'm sure you're happy with big teams like the Boys and Rad Sox staying out of the finals. Still think Fort Hagen is going to pull it off, but would love to see Jamaica Plain take the crown |

BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, and CYL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 15 September 2312 CBO Championship Series Previews NCA Championship Series: #3 Salem Witch Hats (74-56) vs #1 Fort Hagen Silver Shroud (82-48) Season Series: Fort Hagen 4, Salem 0 May 23-24 @ Sal: FtH 10-3, FtH 7-4 July 27-27 @FtH: FtH 3-1, FtH 9-7 Analysis During the 2312 regular season, the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud and Salem Witch Hats were the only two teams to have sole possession of the CBO's top record. Once the Witch Hats started to fade, the Shroud took over the top record on August 23 and never looked back. Fort Hagen also dominated the short regular season series between the two teams, winning all four games. Only one of those four games had a victory total over three, the May 23 matchup at Salem where the Silver Shroud won 10-3. For players who hit in all four games, Fort Hagen SS Brennan Colt-45 had the best hitting success for his team, going 9 for 15 (.600). Salem's LF Dan Erb was also 9 for 15 with a home run and two RBI. Both La'Ray Kalel and Sarthis Idren started and won two games for the Shroud. Kalel had an EA of 1.46 in 12.1 innings pitched, while Idren had an ERA of 2.13 in 12.2 innings. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1730854877 Looking at the playoff matchup, Fort Hagen also seems to have most of the advantages. 2B Peter Pan Calvillo as the second hitter is one advantage for the Witch Hats, along with SS Hopper Hayes later in the lineup. Otherwise, every other advantage goes to the Shroud. Prediction This season is now most definitely the Silver Shroud's to take. From taking over the CBO's best record just under a month ago to being the last of the league winners alive. Salem seemed to have their chance, dominating the CBO for most of the season before fading towards the end. We feel that the Shroud will do what it takes and win this series easily. Fort Hagen 4, Salem 1 SCA Championship Series: #5 Jamaica Plain Red Rockets (69-61) vs #3 Vault 81 Dwellers (72-58) Season Series: Vault 81 3, Jamaica Plain 1 April 25-26 @V81: V81 2-0, V81 6-3 July 6-7 @JP: V81 18-6, JP 5-1 Analysis For both Jamaica Plain and Vault 81, they have reached a place they have been before: the SCA Championship Series. This season, one of them will reach the Sole Survivor Series for the first time. The Red Rockets are making their fourth appearance, with the last one coming in 2307. The Dwellers are also here for the fourth time with their last appearance in 2308. In the regular season, Vault 81 had a 3-1 edge, including one 18-6 walloping on July 6. Both Vault 81's CF Stu Gains and LF Mace Pageturner had seven hits and three RBI. LF Beckett Quantum was 4 for 6 with the only home run for the Dwellers and four RBI. For the Rockets, RF Gargoyle Falcone (before being traded to Concord) had the most hits with seven and three RBI. SS Tenpenny Luna hit the only home run for his team. Vault 81's Ryan Downing was the top winner, going 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA. The Red Rockets' Tristan Marble was 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1730854877 On paper, the Dwellers should have all of the advantages in the series. Vault 81's top five hitters are stacked against really only two good hitters for Jamaica Plain in Ken Debate and Tre' Morgueman. The Dwellers also seem to have the pitching edge, meaning that the Red Rockets will have to fight hard to overcome their opponents. Prediction Everything is lined up for Vault 81 this season, as opposed to some past seasons when they appeared to be entering the postseason as the #1 seed. For the Rockets, this team did not feel like one of its best, but overcoming a 50-80 2311 season was quite impressive. Everyone assumed that the Red Rockets were done as a playoff team after that debacle. This season has been a pleasant surprise, but one we think ends early. We do not see Vault 81 winning every game, but they will win four. Vault 81 4, Jamaica Plain 2 |

"We were a little off-kilter to start the series, but we're getting things figured out now," Salem manager Nick Caudill told reporters. "At least I hope we are." The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Vim! Park of Salem in Salem. Game 4: Fort Hagen 3, Salem 2 Almost There: Fort Hagen On Cusp of ACS Triumph After 3-2 Win The Fort Hagen Silver Shroud moved to within one game of the Sole Survivor Series, downing the Salem Witch Hats on the road at Vim! The win gives the Silver Shroud a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Association Championship Series. Fort Hagen used the hitting of Hid Matsumoto to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Silver Shroud on top, 3-2. For the game, Matsumoto had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats. Matsumoto called the win "a team effort." The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Vim! Park of Salem in Salem. Game 5: Fort Hagen 8, Salem 6 Silver Shroud Move on to Sole Survivor Series The Fort Hagen Silver Shroud triumphed 8-6 over the Salem Witch Hats at Vim! Park of Salem in the Association Championship Series to capture it 4-1. Orcin Cardinal led the charge, going 2 for 4 with a home run, a walk, a run, and five RBI. The victory advanced the Silver Shroud to the Sole Survivor Series. For his superb play in the series, Silver Shroud center fielder Hid Matsumoto garnered the series MVP trophy, hitting .250, scoring 7 runs and batting in 6. "Only thing better than getting MVP for winning in the playoffs would be winning MVP for winning in the Sole Survivor Series," Matsumoto said later. "I'll get to work on that." The Fort Hagen Silver Shroud will play against the Vault 81 Dwellers in the next round. Vault 81 won their series against the Jamaica Plain Red Rockets 4 games to 0. The Sole Survivor Series schedule will be announced after the Association Championship Series finishes. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1730943020 SCA #5 Jamaica Plain Red Rockets vs #3 Vault 81 Dwellers Game 1: Vault 81 4, Jamaica Plain 3, 10 inn. The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Vault 81 right fielder Pockets Wrench, facing Herbie Popnecker, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Dwellers the 4-3 win. "This game tested our mettle," said Wrench. The next game is set to be played tomorrow at CURIE Inc. Field in Boston. BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, and CYL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 22 September 2312 Sole Survivor Series: Fort Hagen Silver Shroud vs Vault 81 Dwellers https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731026588 Season Series: Vault 81 2, Fort Hagen 1 May 10-12 @V81: V81 10-3, FtH 6-2, V81 7-1 Analysis From 2298-2304, the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud looked to be on the brink of a dynasty. Except . . . they could not win the Sole Survivor Series. With three trips to the big series, the Shroud came up empty all three times, losing to Diamond City in 2299 and 2300 and Roxbury in 2303. With this fourth trip, the Shroud is third all-time behind Nordhagen Beach (7) and Roxbury (5) in Sole Survivor Series appearances. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731026588 Vault 81 is making its first Sole Survivor Series. In both of the seasons where they were the #1 seed in the SCA, the Dwellers reached the SCA Championship Series before getting upset. This season, they were almost an afterthought throughout the season, but they took care of business as the #3 seed, having relatively easy series over #6 University Point (2-0), #2 Goodneighbor (3-1), and #5 Jamaica Plain (4-0). It is safe to say that Vault 81 enters the Sole Survivor Series as the hotter team. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731026588 Looking at a comparison of statistics, the Shroud seem to have just about every advantage but power hitting. For Fort Hagen to win four, they will need to keep up their tough offense while getting the outs needed on the mound, trying their best to keep their starter in as long as possible. For the Dwellers, hitting home runs will help them win games, so they should hope that they find their power in this series. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731026597 Looking at player vs player at positions, first let's look at those and then show a comparison of the matchups as expected in Game 1. SP1 - Sarthis Idren (12-7, 3.72) > Exxie Summerset (13-8, 3.92) SP2 - La'Ray Kalel (19-6, 3.00) > Scruffy Taguchi (12-13, 3.82) SP3 - Admiral Kelm (14-7, 5.27) < Ryan Goodpryce (9-5, 3.93) RP1 - Elastic Man Haley (14-9, 3.09 as a SP) > Ryan Downing (11-11, 4.59 as a starter) CL - Nien Nunb (33 SV, 2.75) > Closecall Jones (25 SV, 3.91) C - Sleve McDichael (.260/7/66) > Phantom Vargas (.299/21/74) 1B - Rival Hey (.337/8/39) > Chris Connexx (.270/10.43) 2B - Nauseous Revere (.326/16/87) > Harry Byrd (.285/25/79) 3B - Jaxon Grits (.265/11/64) > Knud Bather (.229/13/61) SS - Brennan Colt-45 (.304/19/86) < End Yamada (.270/21/60) LF - Admiral Kelm (.294/21/82) > Mace Pageturner (.297/9/48) CF - Hid Matsumoto (.223/9/48) < Stu Gains (.298/28/80) RF - Orcin Cardinal (.275/22/70) < Joe Rathmann (.328/23/69) Fort Hagen has most of the matchup wins at individual positions. Now a look at the lineup advantages: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731026597 Key Injuries Fort Hagen RP Clueless Gunsmith (0-4, 6.26) Vault 81 None Prediction Both teams come in on hot streaks and both deserve to be here. Historically speaking, most of the advantages would point to Fort Hagen as being here before. Of course, the last Silver Shroud that got here, led by players such as Ben Pawlak, Ginger Rogers, Andrew Nuka, David Green, and Mike Cartrette has had nearly a complete makeover in the last nine years (RP Kevin Marsh, who had 32 saves that season). Vault 81 is in desperation mode. Their roster is aging with 13 of their 25 players 30 or over. It seems to be a now or much later for them. Desperate teams can sometimes be more dangerous. We're going to bet on the danger factor. Vault 81 4, Fort Hagen 2 |

BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, and CYL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 24 September 2312 Sole Survivor Series: Fort Hagen Silver Shroud vs Vault 81 Dwellers Game 1: Fort Hagen Takes 1-0 Series Lead with Walk-off Win The Fort Hagen Silver Shroud started the Sole Survivor Series in dramatic fashion, stealing Game 1 from the Vault 81 Dwellers in a walk-off. Fort Hagen won, 2-1, behind a good day from starter Sarthis Idren. The left-hander threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball in the win, which gave the Silver Shroud a 1-0 lead to start the best-of-7 series. Jaxon Grits was the walk-off hero for Fort Hagen. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Silver Shroud third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home. "It was a good day but I'm not letting my guard down," Grits said. "I'll let my guard down as soon as someone puts a big, fat championship ring on my finger." The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Hubris Comics Park in Fort Hagen. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731096076 Game 2: Fort Hagen Pins 4-2 Loss on Vault 81 A strong performance from pitcher Ryan Goodpryce was not enough for the Vault 81 Dwellers, who were stopped by the visiting Fort Hagen Silver Shroud, 4-2, in Game 2 of the Sole Survivor Series. The Silver Shroud never truly figured out the right-handed Goodpryce, who threw 6.0 innings allowing 2 runs. Still, the Silver Shroud now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-7 series. Fort Hagen took a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Alibel Contacts hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Silver Shroud fans to their feet. "If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Fort Hagen manager Darnell Bright. The next game is set to be played for Wednesday, September 25th , 2312 at CURIE Inc. Field in Boston. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731096076 |

BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, and CYL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 27 September 2312 Sole Survivor Series: Fort Hagen Silver Shroud vs Vault 81 Dwellers Game 3: Colt-45, Silver Shroud Wallop Dwellers in Game 3 of SSS Riding the 4-hit performance of shortstop Brennan Colt-45, the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud got a road win against the Vault 81 Dwellers, 8-1, in Game 3 of the Sole Survivor Series. Colt-45 was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 doubles, while scoring 3 runs for the Silver Shroud, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 0. Fort Hagen relied on the bat of Orcin Cardinal to get the win. The right fielder ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Silver Shroud ahead, 2-0. For the game, Cardinal had 2 doubles and 1 triple in 4 at-bats. "I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Fort Hagen manager Darnell Bright. The next game is set to be played tomorrow at CURIE Inc. Field in Boston. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731118327 Game 4: Sole Survivor Series Sweep to Silver Shroud Sometimes the winner is the one who got the lucky bounces and the lucky calls, and sometimes the winner is just the one who played better. It was the latter case in 2312, as the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud topped the Vault 81 Dwellers 3-2 tonight at CURIE Inc. Field to win the Sole Survivor Series. It was the 1st title in franchise history. SP Sarthis Idren was outstanding, pitching 7.1 innings of shutout ball. He allowed four hits and struck out two. La'Ray Kalel pitched the final 1.2 innings, allowing two earned runs off Harry Byrd's 9th-inning home run. Three Fort Hagen batters had two hits and an RBI, including Jaxon Grits. "When you play for championships, you have to play better than the team in the other dugout. We did that in this series, and all year. Now we're the best team in baseball," said Fort Hagen third baseman Grits, who was named series MVP. The Silver Shroud took the series 4-0. The new titleholders completed the regular season with a first-place finish in the North Charles Association Institute League and a 82-48 record. Fort Hagen manager Darnell Bright grinned and nodded when asked to comment on Grits's words. "Jaxon said it best -- we played better than the other team," the skipper said. Hometown officials announced they were already planning a "grand celebration" for the winners in the days to come. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731118327 Series Results https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731118327 Playoff Tree https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731118334 Fort Hagen Team Photo https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731118334 |

BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, and CYL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 7 October 2312 CBO Draft Preview We are a month away from the CBO draft, so let's start to breakdown what we may see in November. This draft is considered a "weak" draft, at least with the number of players scouts rate as "sure to make the CBO." Of course, that assertion could always be wrong. Of the over 1000 players officially declared, the OSA scouts only have 10 players in the "blue" or "sure CBO" prospects. First, let's look at a breakdown of the early mock drafts and mention how some of the players here have been rescouted. The mock draft 1st round: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731183100 Let's break down the Top 5 and then compare them to the top-rated players as of October 7. #1 1B Vol DeMort, Taunton Giants, 28/53 - With the #1 overall pick, you would not expect it to be a 1B, especially when DeMort has nowhere near the talent potential Sycamore and Simpleton below show. DeMort is considered a player to have a natural swing. While he is not a power hitter, he could get his fair share of homers while challenging for the batting crown each season. #2 1B Voodoo Sycamore, Quincy College 48/80 - Sycamore is a good all-around hitter and may be more of a natural corner OF than 1B. Scouts expect him to be one of the best pure hitters in the draft and expect him to go early. #3 LF Jannar Arbor, Tufts University 31/69 - The #11 overall prospect in this draft, Arbor could see himself taken near the top. Arbor has the ability to hit for average and power. He will also hold his own in the field. #4 1B Slocum Simpleton, Glowing Sea College 43/80 - Simpleton may very well be the #1 pick. He has the potential to be a league leader in multiple offensive categories. Simpleton is also maybe already one of the better defenders and could be competing for defensive awards in his future. #5 3B Moonface J. Squearfish, Acton Ups 20/68 - The #12 prospect, Squearfish finally fought his way into a starting position and now will be battling to be a top pick. His brother, Gremlin, a member of the Atom Cats, was a higher prospect but was taken 21st overall in 2309. Scouts have cooled on Moonface's prospects in recent months, but he is still a hitting/fielding/running threat. He may never be a star, but he will be a solid contributor to his team. The Top 10 prospects: 1. 2B Jack of Diamonds Cordero, Holy Cross College, 61/80 - Mocked #8 to Southie. Cordero is expected to go straight to his CBO club, which would be useful for a team without a decent 2B. 2. 1B Voodoo Sycamore, Quincy College, 48/80 - Mocked #2. 3. 1B Slocum Simpleton, Glowing Sea College, 43/80 - Mocked #4. 4. 3B I.C. Reader, Marblehead Mess, 38/80 - Mocked #11 to Atom. Reader could be a future cleanup hitter. He is battling others atop the prospects list as the player with the most power. 5. RF Topher Spark, Pawtucket Paw Sox, 36/80 - Mocked #16. The four-year starter for the Sox, Spark is one of the best defenders entering the draft. He has also shown that he is growing into his body, increasing his home run output each season. 6. SS Sincere Grey, Beantown Sprouts, 26/77 - Mocked #7. 7. 1B Lupp Triggerhatch, Tufts University 33/74 - Mocked #24. 8. C Harvey Aard, Commonwealth University, 43/73 - Mocked #23. 9. 3B Moktar Wakihuri, Greenfield College, 43/71 - Mocked #6. 10. CF Henry Hampster, South Charles Bank Moonies, 34/70 - Mocked #65. There is no consensus for Hampster, with some scouts placing him solely in the upper half of the 1st Round and this mock showing him as the 9th pick of the 3rd Round. Minor League Changes NEBL The New England Baseball League is now alive with 28 teams being the AAA affiliate of the 28 CBO teams. While most of the teams are the same as they were in 2312 when the MML was the AAA league, there are four new teams: the Bradberton Tycoons (FHE), Fall River Rippers (Qui), Greenfield Disciples (Sou), and Manchester Granites (GS). https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731183100 MML There are a few new teams in the MML, as well as many of the teams moving to the MML from the BMU now that the MML has become the AA league. New teams include: the Ipswich Hitters, Springfield Operators, Nashua Sams, Cranston Boomers, New Haven Champions, Newton Behemoths, Hartford Melonheads, Pawtucket Pips, Lawrence Revolution, Bridgeport Gulchers, and Haverhill Grooms. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731183100 BMU There are zero new BMU teams with the majority of teams moving up from the GBRL now that the BMU is a new A league, the third tear of minor league levels. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731183112 GBRL While a few teams were either in the GBRL last year or moved in from the BMU, the vast majority of the teams are new to the CBO. Since there are so many, we will not list them here but show the organization of divisions. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731183112 CBO Transactions Sunday, October 6th , 2312 Malden Grognaks: Signed RF Rat Race Andrade. BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, and CYL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 14 October 2312 CBO Awards NCA Hitter - What a way to finish off the year -- being honored with the 2312 Nuka-Hitter Award in the North Charles Association. It had already been a very special season for County Crossing's Babs Rooth, but today's announcement really put the icing on his cake. All season long Babs Rooth gave opposing pitchers fits by hitting .365 as he collected 152 hits, 27 doubles, 3 triples, 37 home runs and 107 RBIs. He received 26 first place votes out of a possible 28. Nauseous Revere of the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Duff Fee of the Concord Radstags finished third with 1 first place vote. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Silver Shroud star told reporters. Kalel excelled with an impressive 19-6 record in 31 starts. In 171 innings he yielded 164 hits and 49 walks, while striking out 116 and compiling a fine 3.00 ERA. He received 26 first place votes out of a possible 28. It's Clubhouse Treelover, this year's South Charles Association Vim! Pitcher Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Treelover compiled a 13-8 record in 33 starts, tallied 163 strikeouts in 205.1 innings and recorded a 2.89 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .217 batting average against him. He received 25 first place votes out of a possible 28. The 2312 Skipper of the Year came into spring training with a commitment to getting the most out of his Silver Shroud. "I told them I had no preconceived notions about them, that all of them were blank slates as far as I was concerned. I told them to learn my system and we would win. I told them all the spots on the roster were open, that the best players would play -- young or old, rookie or vet -- and that I expected them to hustle, to work hard, and play as a team. They bought into it and made me look good." And Darnell Bright certainly got the most out of his ballclub. The Silver Shroud wrapped up the season in first place in the North Charles Association Institute League with a 82-48 record. SCA Manager - Club officials have reported seeing Drac Jaskula at the ballpark as early as 7 am. His dedication, coupled with a shrewd management style and a knack for knowing "who's hot and who's not" earned Jaskula the South Charles Association Manager of the Year Award for 2312. "I guess you could say I pushed all the right buttons at the right time for the Dwellers to have the season we did. But keep in mind, too, that I also had a group of dedicated ballplayers who played their hearts out. I thank them for winning this award for me." There was much joy in Vault 81 this season. Their beloved Dwellers took second place in the South Charles Association Railroad League, rounding out the year with a 72-58 record. NCA Rookie - Eden Babz of the Assaultrons had a good year during 2312. In his debut season the Easy Town center fielder hit .332 on his way to the Red Rocket Rookie Award. Babz collected 164 hits with 15 home runs, 70 RBIs and 91 runs scored. He received 28 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. In 109 games, the FHE second baseman hit .249 with 85 hits, 20 home runs, 63 RBIs, 77 walks, 60 runs scored and a .382 on-base percentage. He received 10 first place votes out of a possible 28. Candy Kline of the Atom Cats finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Boryslaw Skiba of the Jamaica Plain Red Rockets finished third with 3 first place votes. But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Easy Town Assaultrons reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2312 North Charles Association Fallon's Reliever Award. "I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the South Kingstown, Rhode Island native said. For the season, Harper had 16 saves in 31 relief appearances, which totaled 84.2. He fanned 55 betters, while walking 44 and put up a record of 8-8 to go with his 2.87 ERA. He received 15 first place votes out of a possible 28. Yank Daley of the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys finished second in voting with 13 first place votes, while Wick Prater of the County Crossing Bloodbugs finished third. Player - Team - First Place - Total Points Cora Harper - Easy Town Assaultrons - 15 - 114 Yank Daley - Nordhagen Beach Party Boys - 13 - 110 Wick Prater - County Crossing Bloodbugs - 0 - 25 Nien Nunb - Fort Hagen Silver Shroud - 0 - 3 SCA Reliever - Professor Harriel said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 25 years old. But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Roxbury Rad Sox rising star has won the South Charles Association Fallon's Reliever Award for 2312. He captured the award on the strength of his 2.50 ERA over 57.2 innings. He also had 37 saves in 53 relief appearances, 80 strikeouts and only 13 walks. He received 28 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. William Butcherman of the Oberland T-51s finished second in voting, while Marc Pondsip of the University Point Deathclaws finished third. Player - Team - First Place - Total Points Professor Harriel - Roxbury Rad Sox - 28 - 140 William Butcherman - Oberland T-51s - 0 - 54 Marc Pondsip - University Point Deathclaws - 0 - 53 Matt Hoernig - University Point Deathclaws - 0 - 5 NCA Defenders - "Flashing the leather" and "good with the glove" are ways to describe players who help their teams by playing great defense. Today the most dependable glovemen in the North Charles Association for 2312 were announced. Corvega Top Defender Awards will be presented to these top-notch defenders: Pitcher Whokill Poole (Starlight Killers) Catcher Stuart Costantino (Nahant Celtics) First Baseman Brian DeLong (Salem Witch Hats) Second Baseman Nauseous Revere (Fort Hagen Silver Shroud) Third Baseman Flex Mussels (Concord Radstags) Shortstop Gavin Deux-Gas (The Slog Ghouls) Left Fielder Admiral Kelm (Fort Hagen Silver Shroud) Center Fielder Duff Fee (Concord Radstags) Right Fielder Gene Leftswipe (Nahant Celtics) SCA Defenders - On the defensive side of the game pitchers always get the glory, but the best pitchers know their success hinges on the gloves behind them. The defensive dream team in the South Charles Association for 2312 has been announced, and the Corvega Top Defender Award trophies will be presented to these outstanding fielders: Pitcher Aldo Sanch (Diamond City Swatters) Catcher Racky Westheim (Oberland T-51s) First Baseman Duncan MacCready (FHE Yao Guai) Second Baseman Elton Goodspeed (Glowing Sea Radscorpions) Third Baseman Donn Mattingley (Roxbury Rad Sox) Shortstop Poncho Picasso (Spectacle Island Reapers) Left Fielder Ben Pawlak (Roxbury Rad Sox) Center Fielder Vignar Graymane (Diamond City Swatters) Right Fielder Jay Gabby (Goodneighbor Hancocks) CBO Draft Preview The expectation of college players being more CBO-ready than the youth league players has started to take root with 4 of the 5 players featured this week coming form the college ranks. For a further look at the 2312 Rookie Mock Draft, let's go through picks 6-10: #6 3B Moktar Wakihuri, Greenfield College - After two years with the Greenies, Wakihuri is ready to make the jump to the CBO as one of the top-ranked prospects in 2312. Wakihuri has a good balance of hitting potential with the ability to build up his average and power hitting. #7 SS Sincere Grey, Beantown Sprouts - The four-year starter for the Sprouts, Grey showed the ability to handle the pressure as being the team's top player. Scouts like Grey's patience at the plate. While he is not expected to have the best bat for getting hits, his OBP should be solid. Grey is also a great defensive SS, which will probably anchor him to the SS position. #8 2B Jack of Diamonds Cordero, Holy Cross College - The man many believe will be a starter for a CBO team in 2313, Cordero declared after a sophomore season with the Crusaders that saw him get a bit banged up. Scouts like his elite power potential and his outstanding glove and range. Only the lack of a strong arm stops him from being an elite SS. While the mock has Cordero at #8, we would not be surprised to see Glowing Sea pull the trigger on him at #1. #9 CF Cray Cris Arcos, Winchester University - Exiting his junior season with a .353 career average, Arcos is an elite hitter and outfielder who may end up as a corner OF at the next level. Scouts like his ability to work the pitcher and force a walk. When he does swing, he can place the ball pretty much anywhere on the field, but his bread and butter is squaring up pitches to drive them right back at the pitcher. #10 SS Daniel Basaldu, Tufts University - Scouts are not high on Basaldu, who was not a starter in his one sophomore season with the Jumbos. He is considered a prospect pick, but we have a hard time seeing him going in the 1st Round, much less this high in the draft. Scouts think that he could be a good high-count hitter to work the count at the plate. he is not the best defensive SS but can hold his own. His most direct path to the CBO seems to be as a defensive replacement. BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, and CYL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 28 October 2312 CBO Draft Preview Let's take one last look at the draft with players rated high by the OSA yet do not have a lot of hype: SP Richard Burns, South Charles Bank Moonies - Burns is expected to be the first pitcher of the board after completing an impressive career with the Moonies where his career record is 48-10 with a 2.08 ERA in 74 starts. Those 48 wins ties Burns for 1st all-time along with current Diamond City SP Paul Stains. Burns is also the all-time ERA leader and Opponents OBP (.261). SP Leland van Sprang, Taunton Giants - Another highly successful pitcher, going 41-15 with a 2.58 ERA over for years, van Sprang is a tough lefty to face. Scouts love his control and ability to get quick outs. Unfortunately, he does not yet have high stamina, which he will need to work on to reach six innings. C Harvey Aard, Commonwealth University - Aard, the three-year starter with the Terriers, has been a star, including hitting over .400 twice. Scouts like his potential to hit for average but also to be a rare power-hitting catcher. His defense is solid, which should push him to a role in the CBO. CF Dexion Evicus, C.I.T. - Evicus blasted out of the gates as a college freshman, batting .409 before settling into around a .325 average his next two seasons. He has a lot of speed but was hardly ever let loose on the base paths, something he will probably do more in the minors. Scouts think he has potential to be decent at hitting for average and power, which could push him to the top of a lineup. 2B Gutty O'Flaherty, Hope Firestarters - O'Flaherty started to grow into his body, blasting 27 home runs during his senior season with the Firestarters. Scouts think that his power potential will only get better as he grows more into his frame and he could be a premier power hitter in the CBO one day. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731200437 CCBL Changes The first eight teams of the Southern Commonwealth (SoComm) Conference have joined: the Brown University Bears, Connecticut (UConn) Yankees, East Connecticut State University (ECSU) Warriors, Fairfield University Stags, Hartford University Hawks, Providence College Friars, Rhode Island University Rams, and Yale University Bulldogs. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1731200437 CYL Changes Lots of teams have joined the CYL, so we will not list them all. BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, and CYL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 6 November 2312 CBO Draft 2312 The CBO Draft has moved to 20 rounds, and we are here to cover it all, looking at the players picked, analyzing the draft, and trying out a few predictions about what we think this all means. The full draft is at the bottom here. The #1 Pick He was not the guy that people expected, but he is the #1 overall pick in 2312: LF Jannar Arbor of Tufts University. Arbor left Tufts following his junior season, claiming he is ready to move on to the next step in his baseball career. While not considered CBO-ready, Arbor does have a few things going his way. Glowing Sea, the team in possession of the #1 overall pick, loved the talent of Arbor but also some of his characteristics. The Radscorpions stated that Arbor "plans and leads with attention to detail." With high grades in leadership, work ethic, and adaptability, the Rads are sure that Arbor will be a clubhouse hit. Scouts are not as high on Arbor as some of the other players in the draft, but that does not mean he is not considered a highly-talented player. Arbor is a good all-around player, possessing a lively bat, speed, and a good glove. His highest talent potential comes in his power potential where Arbor could be one of the top-hitting power hitters in the league one day. With the ability to hit for average, too, Arbor could be an anchor in the middle of the Glowing Sea lineup within the next couple years. Malden's Star With the 2nd pick, the Malden Grognaks selected 2B Jack of Diamonds Cordero out of Holy Cross College. Cordero is considered CBO-ready and is not expected to spend anytime with the Plymouth Pilgrims of the NEBL. Instead, it is predicted that Cordero will be the opening-day starter for the Grognaks at 2B and Breha Queen will move to SS full-time. That should immediately put him in the running for top rookie honors. The First Questionable Pick With the 16th overall pick, the Starlight Killers selected SP Cowboy Hat Jonas out of the Wellfleet Tarberries of the CYL. Jonas is not a scout's favorite, and there were a lot of more highly-touted pitchers available at #16 if the Killers wanted him. There must be something the Starlight scouts see that the OSA scouts do not. OSA scouts think that Jonas was at highest a third-round pick. They like his fastball that has some life to it. Jonas has the ability to control the strike zone when on, but he will wear out fast. That has led to most scouts predicting he is a bullpen arm at best should he make it to the CBO. That makes us wonder why the following pitcher was not in the cards for the Killers or the next few teams picking 1st-round pitchers . . . What Are They Seeing That We're Not Seeing? Quincy got their pitcher with the fourth pick of the 2nd round, the Harwich Fishheads' SP Alt Errigo, who went 10-2 in each of his last two seasons with the Fishheads. Scouts do not see Errigo as an ace, but they could see him making it as the #3 starter with the possibility to be higher in the rotation. Scouts like Errigo's five-pitch repertoire, especially his slider. They think he may be a WHIP master, with the ability to frustrate hitters and making sure he is throwing strikes. Errigo was the 7th pitcher taken. Mock Draft Loser Some had him going #1 overall in mock drafts. Instead, 1B Vol DeMort out of the CYL's Taunton Giants, went with the 31st overall pick, taken as the 3rd pick of the 2nd Round by the Lexington Synths. DeMort is not expected to be an elite power hitter that is usual for 1B in the CBO, but he has the ability to get the bat on the ball and hit for average. Mr. Irrelevant Taken as the 560th overall pick by Fort Hagen in the 20th Round, C Old Rag Tacuri out of the Nahant Marine Institute earns the title as being the latest player taken in a CBO draft. Scouts have few hopes for Tacuri ever advancing his pro career, but the Silver Shroud will forever remember him as Mr. Irrelevant, a nickname for the last player taken in the draft. The All-Names Team Looking at the 20 rounds, we would like to give out our personal all-names team, choosing the players either naturally named or nicknamed in a unique way.
