Strangely, after changing the resolution again this time, it works properly.

Thanks

You had to go and mess with it again, huh? :D

It seems like it's only certain resolutions. I was able to change it to 1024 x 720, but 1280 killed it.

You forgot the rm -f before the path!
The "app" at the end of the path is a file, BTW

So, type:
PHP Code:

rm -"/Users/marc-oliviernoel/.Out of the Park Developments/OOTP Baseball 9/config/app"

then hit Enter

Another new Mac user whose glad he found this thread!

I had to go through a full reinstall, as I tried messing around with the facegen folder based on another post in the FAQ. Before I reinstalled the game, however, I put the script through as directed below. The game loaded.

I'm going to leave the resolution settings alone for now, as I assume you guys will test each one and develop a patch, right?

Thanks for the prompt service!!!

ah everything was alright except that it seems that i needed to refresh the icon on my desktop...
thx for the help

it now works in 1680x1050

cbbl 06-18-2008 10:50 PM

OK, I couldn't resist. As the 20" iMac has an LCD screen with WSXGA+ resolution (1680 x 1050), I decided to try that. It worked no problem.

It would be interesting to see if anyone with a 24" iMac (which has an LCD screen with WUXGA resolution (1900 x 1200)) could set the OOTP resolution to 1900 x 1200 successfully. I tried to set it to that on my 20" iMac and had the start-up issue.

I wonder (non-tech guy here) if the issue is that the computer's screen simply can't handle some of the other resolutions if they don't match.

Anyway, thanks again... interested to see if you can figure out the cause!

24" iMac here --- have changed resolution to 1900x1200 and 1680X1050 w/out any problems --- will stay away from the 1280 now, however.

Er, not sure. It wasn't marked as fixed in our system. I don't have a Mac, though. You tell me. :)

Nope. Just recreated it. Not fixed.

This issue has been claimed fixed for the upcoming patch (post 9.1.6). If after installing it you still see this behavior, please post in Tech Support. Thanks.
