Really sad news regarding Francis. My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends who are obviously grieving his passing.

I really was looking forward to the football game he was working on. Hopefully someday you will be able to produce a high quality football game like baseball is and dedicate it to his memory.

I haven't been as active on the OOTP Dev forums for various reasons, but I wanted to chime in and add my condolences. I spent some time with Francis in Hamburg (I'm the guy at the end of the table with his arms crossed; I seem annoyed but I highly doubt I was, as that was a fun evening) and really enjoyed chatting with him every morning during breakfast.

And I really saw what a toll his health issues took on him as we slowly, slowly made our way down our hotel hallway each day. As someone who's used to walking quickly everywhere, it was quite eye-opening to see how he lived every day.

He was a wonderful guy and I always hoped I'd get a chance to spend more time with him again some day.

Best wishes to his family. RIP, Francis.

Man, really sorry we lost Francis. I was really hoping he'd be able to push through everything and make his dream game a reality.

What a downer. Jeez I am just getting caught up on this whole situation and I am sorry to learn about this. Kind of takes some joy away from my discovery of FOF+OOTP today.

Yet, although I did not know Francis from a hole in the ground, judging by what his friends and associates have said about him here and elsewhere, I am guessing that he was the kind of guy who would only wish us enjoyment with the new game.

When I am playing that game sometime in the future, I will think about Francis and what might have been.

RIP Francis.

I want to believe that he did not mean it that way and he spoke without thinking, as we all do sometimes. At the very least, we owe respect to you guys who knew Francis and miss him. Much as I like the idea of FOF+OOTP, I would rather have waited and seen FCF. Francis Cole Football.

Well, here's a thought while I am here. Have you thought of working some sort of tribute to Francis into FOF+OOTP? Maybe naming something after him that would not be too obtrusive? I am sure his family and friends would appreciate a gesture like that.

We communicated his first stroke. I told him about the Hyperbaric Oxygen Treament. It was obviously a bit difficult to parse his reply, but he sounded interested. I hope he did and that it made his final days easier. It's so startling when someone so young dies. I wish the best to his family.
