Questdog, your skin looks great, for some reason I cannot get it to work. I haven't messed with it much, had to get ready to go to work. I cannot find the proram files (x86)\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 16

I can every version from 10, but this year I used Stream. I would really like to use this skin, any advice?

I believe I answered my own question ---- just didn't have time to look into it this morning: Steam stores games downloaded from them:
C:\\program files (X86)\steam\steamapps\common\Out of the Park Baseball.

Is there another place to get the skin files? They do not show up in my add ons central at all and I can't find a way to fix it.

Forgive me for not getting this. So I've followed these steps above and i still can't get it to work. When i open up the skins folder i have 3 folders (ootp 16, ootp classic & ootp dark). Inside of those folders i have skin.bin which I have deleted/saved to my desktop. I have copied over all the photo's into my ootp dark folder. When i load the game the icons are still the same and the game hasn't created a new skin.bin.

What am i doing wrong? I'm guessing it's a simple fix but i can't figure it out.

Make sure you are running the game as an administrator. :)

Yeah that's not working either. I know I'm missing something here. I'm usually good at figuring these things out too.

Here are my steps (Correct me if I'm wrong)

I'm going here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 16\data\skins\ootp dark\(dropping in the photo's from the zip)

Now is there supposed to be a folder inside of the "ootp dark" folder called images? Or is the images part just want you're copying into the folder?

From there i delete the skin.bin file or in this case save it to my desktop just in case.

I load up the game but nothing changes. I go back to the place where the skin.bin used to be and there hasn't been another one created like I've read.

I've download the 3 skins in the Add-On page, I've run as administrator. Weird stuff. Any help because I'm losing my mind.

:) I figured it was the run as admin issue.. I had that issue for a couple of years before someone posted that fix.

Seriously, though, thanks, Scott, and everyone else who's contributed to the images and how-to posts in this thread. This is a sweet new addition to the game for me.

Ok I have yet to try to do this but When I go to the folder you say I See just the 2 files below. DO i just copy the images I want into this folder then delete the skin.bin? Also since i use dark would i do it for that skin vs default?
Then i get this message when I try to save as. How do i get around this. it is my home PC. no one else uses it.

When i delete the skin under the dark one and reload OOTP. it load under default then when i switch to dark under Settings it crashes OOTP.

It appears that the skin is not installed correctly. You should also have four folders along with the two files.

Also - make sure you are logged in as ADMINISTRATOR on your PC. Based on the error message you posted, that appears to not be the case as you do not have the required permissions to write to that folder.

I can get the files into the folder now but it messes up no matter what i do. i will mess with it some more tomorrow after work.

I had the same problem, but fixed it after some fooling around.

Do you have the 4 folders? I didn't have mine at first then I downloaded and installed all types of skins then the folders showed up. Run the exe file as an administrator.

I know I'm late.. but I loved your idea and wanted to use it for the set I'm working on.. here's my rendition bro, hope you like it. :D
