injuries
Wade Boggs (BOS) out 4 weeks
Reggie Jackson (OAK) out 4 weeks
Robin Yount (CLE) out 6 weeks

Luis Tiant (CIN) gets win #250

after exhausting their efforts to re-sign Carney Lansford, the Angels have dealt him to the Astros for Gary Thomasson. This comes on the day following Lansford announcement to the AL all star team.

Steve Rogers and Claudell Washington are the Royals representatives for the mid summer classic

Rick Honeycutt (SEA) lost for 13 months, that will prevent him from losing 25+ games.

Some nice races shaping up in the AL. Can you make it 5 division titles in a row?

royalblue5 05-14-2013 07:13 PM

I hope so, I just got Wilson and Schmidt back off of the DL

So here goes, it might be my last in a while, I am going to scale back the spending a bit to maintain a bit mor ecompetitive balance.

Unless I change my mind, that is kind of why I let Bench go, maybe I can shop Schmidt or something. I just don't know, any ideas

Well this years playoffs are now set and they are the same matchups as last season

Royals v Tigers
Dodgers v Cardinals

Kansas City has won the AL West 5 years in a row and the Cardinals have won the NL East 3 straight seasons

Lets see if the AL can end the 4 year winning streak that the NL has on the World Series

Lou Whitaker and Larry Herndon won their respective leagues batting titles

Just got a BNN stats notice that included Joe Morgan

I missed the fact that he retired last season, his career deserves some notoriety

sorry for the lack of fanfare

But the Tigers beat KC again as Schmidt and Cooper were injured and unavailable for games 4 and 5

In the NL the Dodgers also require 5 to defeat the Card's

The World Series was swift as the Tigers won it all in 5 games

Congratulations to the Tigers for capturing the 1982 World Championship
