Nice getting a peak at my counterparts stats. His best days may be behind him, but he's carved out a nice career for himself

Special Note: There was some critical error probably created by me in the CBA, so I reset it. It took me a little while to edit teams and players, so hopefully I did it right this time by making all edits in game rather than through an SQLite editor. OOTP is so much easier to make edits in, but I think I have a method now. I am assuming that October was similar, so I am updating on December 1. Logic may not apply from the previous CBA post.
https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1623123150 BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, CYL, and CBA by Nat Wright-Kawolski 1 December 2313 CBA - November Recap Two months into the season now, and we only have three teams over .500. As a reminder, the top two teams from each conference will make it to the playoffs. As we start December, the Quincy Ironclads at 9-1 hold the CBA's best record. The NCC's Cambridge Tigers at 5-3 are atop their division and the only team above .500. At 3-10, the Medford Irish are at the back of the pack. BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, CYL, and CBA by Nat Wright-Kawolski 1 January 2314 New Year, New Hopes, New Adventures The aftermath of a blowout party in Hangman's Alley is now complete, and now we get to reflect back on 2313 and what is to come in 2314. Here are a few thoughts swirling through my mind, and, with permission, a little bit of in the family. I will start with that. As of today, my husband, Sheng Kawolski, at 41, is still going strong. He is a stubborn sort and will not retire without a fight or before his arms fall off. Even without arms, he would still probably insist on kicking the ball to homeplate or something. My oldest son, Ripper, is now a draftee of his home-settlement team, Diamond City. He will be assigned to Maine to start with the South Portland Ug-Qualtoths. This year and next, my two youngest boys will also be joining the official CBO ranks. Wing will begin his youth career in a couple of months, and Shotty will begin next year. We are a baseball family, which excites me every day when covering the CBO. The 2313 season was also a "changing of the guard," so to speak when Atom and Nahant faced off in the Sole Survivor Series. While fans have their favorites, Commissioner Nate Howard from the start has stated that his hope was that every team went through brief cycles of championship contention and rebuilding. Howard has stated that a balanced league is one of intrigue. Therefore, teams that have been highly successful in recent years--Nordhagen Beach, Roxbury, and University Point, specifically--not being championship contenders has given some new hope. We saw one of the expansion franchises, Glowing Sea, make a jump into the playoffs, and another, Southie, just missing out. We saw Lexington finally breaking their pain train and making their first playoff appearance in the CBO. In 2314, there are several teams to keep a keen eye on. One I would like to point out is Concord which looks as though it is developing enough talent to close that seven-game gap that kept the Stags out of the playoffs for the eighth-straight season. A few teams that may have a good chance of winning their first title include Vault 81, FHE, Salem, The Slog, and Oberland. The Dwellers have to be especially disappointed after losing in the Sole Survivor Series two seasons ago and then having the CBO's best record without making it to the SSS. Expect angry strides for their 2314 season. The 2314 Draft is also expected to be a good class with up to two rounds of Very Greats in the chances of draftees making it to the CBO. Four of those potentially CBO-ready draftees are SS Evan Keel, Tufts University; RF Jets Freud, Tufts University; CL Hulk Martin, Greenfield College; and CL Sniper O'Reilly, Boston College. A few other players expected to be in the CBO shortly after being picked include SS Fion Black, Mass Atlantic University; 2B Honker Trinkl, Boston College; SS Lateral Booth, Harvard University; 2B Stud Colgan, Assumption College; and 1B Size Man Green, West Quincy Atomatoys. 2314 Nuka Cup Tournament The 2314 Nujka Cup Tourament will take place from February 28-March 26, just before the CBO's Spring Training begins on March 28. The regular season begins on April 6. As we do every year, the hosts will be the final four teams in the previous season's playoffs with the top seed being the winner, Atom. Other hosts are Nahant, Vault 81, and The Slog. The Cats will host, in order of seeding from 2-7, Fort Hagen, Diamond City, Nordhagen Beach, Quincy, Cambridge, and Goodneighbor. Teams 2-7 in Nahant will be Glowing Sea, Lexington, Southie, Starlight, Jamaica Plain, and Malden. The teams at the Dwellers are County Crossing, Oberland, Bunker Hill, Egret, Sunshine Tidings, and Roxbury. Finally, the Ghouls will host FHE, Salem, University Point, Concord, Spectacle Island, and Easy Town. There again will be a Play-in Series in each regional with #2 vs #7, #6 vs #6, and #4 vs #5. Winners of each series moves on to the regional semifinals where it will be a double-elimination tournament. The regional finals are a four-game series of first to three wins with the Winners Bracket team beginning with a 1-0 advantage. The Semifinals will feature the winner of the Atom Regional versus the The Slog Regional and the winners of the Nahant Regional versus the winner of the Vault 81 Regional. Winners of the Semifinals Round play for the 2314 Nuka Cup. A list of past winners are below: Nuka Cup 2300 Abernathy Adamantium 2301 Nordhagen Beach Party Boys 2302 Starlight Lady Killers 2303 Atom Cats 2304 Atom Cats 2305 Roxbury Rad Sox 2306 Roxbury Rad Sox 2307 Roxbury Rad Sox 2308 Oberland T-51s 2309 Jamaica Plain Red Rockets 2310 University Point Death Claws 2311 University Point Death Claws 2312 Starlight Killers 2313 Vault 81 Dwellers CBO Transactions Monday, December 29th , 2313 Lexington Synths: Signed LF Precious Puppy. BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, CYL, and CBA by Nat Wright-Kawolski 1 February 2314 CBO-SPA Makes Financial Agreement The CBO has announced a partnership with the Season Pass Association, comprised of the Nuka World League and the Vim! League. According to the CBO Front Office, the CBO will begin supplementing the leagues with a five-year partnership. The SPA has had to downsize in recent years due to falling attendance. According to one anonymous team personnel on an NWL team, "Now that Boston is all fixed up, we can't attract people to anything but Nuka-World. People go to Boston to watch good baseball, not Bradberton." There is no speculation yet if there will be any takeover, but for now, all 24 teams in the CBO will be co-sponsors of one team from each of the NWL and VL. The NWL source indicated that it seems the CBO teams would just further poach the best players. "It will be like we're a minor league for the CBO with this partnership. Some of us working out here had better start polishing up our resumes and consider finding a CBO team to work for." There were no direct comments from CBO Commissioner Nate Howard, NWL head Sierra Petrovita or Vim! League owner Small Bertha. CBA Update - February Recap The CBA held its first All-Star Game in February, while the Southern Commonwealth Conference continues to hold serve over the Northern Commonwealth Conference in individual team games and the All-Star extravaganza. In the All-Star Game, the SCC was propelled by Boston star center Tre Davis in a 169166 victory. Davis was named the MVO, scoring 47 to go with five assists, four rebounds, two blocks, and three steals. Both Kareem Rieck of Cambridge and Junji Christie of Medford led the NCC in scoring with 35 apiece. Vee Tsankov of Southie was the SCC's second-leading scorer with 22 off the bench. In the standings, the NCC has changed somewhat with Cambridge having a bad month, including a current seven-game losing streak. The Tigers are not in third place, four back of Salem at 23-23. Medford represents second place, while Con-Lex now possesses the CBA's worst record at 16-31. In the SCC, Airport has begun to pull away with Quincy struggling. The Aviators went 9-1 in their past 10, while the Ironclads went 37, helping to boost Airport to an 8.5-game lead. Southie is 9.5 back at 26-23, and Boston is bringing up the rear at 24-24. BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, CYL, and CBA by Nat Wright-Kawolski 10 March 2314 Nuka Cup Tournament We are now three series deep in the CBO's Nuka Cup Tournament. The tournament began with all 28 teams alive, but the first round was the Play-in Round, eliminating 12 of the teams before the final 16 in the regional round's double-elimination brackets. Here are the results so far: Play-in Round (numbers represent games won in the three-game series): Atom Regional #2 Fort Hagen 3, #7 Goodneighbor 0 #3 Diamond City 2, #6 Cambridge 1 #4 Nordhagen Beach 2, #5 Quincy 1 The Slog Regional #2 FHE 2, #7 Easy Town 1 #3 Salem 2, #6 Spectacle Island 1 #5 Concord 2, #4 University Point 1 Nahant Regional #2 Glowing Sea 2, #7 Malden 1 #3 Lexington 2, #6 Jamaica Plain 1 #5 Starlight 2, #4 Southie 1 Vault 81 Regional #2 County Crossing 3, #7 Roxbury 0 #6 Sunshine Tidings 2, #3 Oberland 1 #5 Egret 2, #4 Bunker Hill 1 Regional Rounds 1 and 2: Atom Regional #4 Nordhagen Beach 2, #1 Atom 1 #2 Fort Hagen 2, #3 Diamond City 1 #2 Fort Hagen 2, #4 Nordhagen Beach 1 #1 Atom 3, #3 Diamond City 0 - Diamond City eliminated The Slog Regional #1 The Slog 2, #5 Concord 1 #2 FHE 3, #3 Salem 0 #1 The Slog 2, #2 FHE 1 #3 Salem 3, #5 Concord 0 - Concord eliminated Nahant Regional #1 Nahant 2, #5 Starlight 1 #3 Lexington 2, #2 Glowing Sea 1 #1 Nahant 2, #3 Lexington 1 #5 Starlight 3, #2 Glowing Sea 0 - Glowing Sea eliminated Vault 81 Regional #1 Vault 81 2, #6 Sunshine Tidings 1 #5 Egret 2, #2 County Crossing 1 #1 Vault 81 3, #5 Egret 0 #2 County Crossing 2, #6 Sunshine Tidings 1 - Sunshine Tidings eliminated Atom Honoring Injured Player Firestarter While creatures and other dangers are not as dangerous as they once were, it does not mean all threats are dead. In an apparent pirate raider attack on the Atom Cats Garage settlement, the tournament there was partially disrupted when a raider mini nuke attack took the lives of three and injured 12 others. One of those injured was pitcher Faye Firestarter of Atom. Firestarter was in a market area when the explosion and shrapnel blasted nearby. Firestarter is clinging to life right now, which is the most important news. In terms of baseball, he is probably done even if he survives. According to general manager Danny Sloghill, Firestarter was in surgery for severed limbs and also given a concoction of Radaway and other chems to attempt to reverse the extreme blast of radiation shot out of the raiding party's Fatman. A Brotherhood patrol has also reported that it discovered the raiders' boat, and the boat and its crew have been eliminated. In the meantime, the settlement of Atom Cats Garage is cleaning up another senseless attack. The Brotherhood patrol will search islands off the coast to see if they can find a raiders HQ. |

BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, CYL, and CBA by Nat Wright-Kawolski 11 March 2314 CCBL Preview The 2314 collegiate season in the CCBL begins today with the Northeastern University Huskies looking to defend their 2313 title. PAM has spoken in her first preview of the 2314 calendar year, and she has tagged Greenfield College as the favorites to win it all. Meanwhile, the Boston Collegiate Athletic Conference (BCAC) is expected to be a tight race with four teams expected to finish within a game of 1st place. The Huskies are expected to emerge from that pack. Looking at the setup of the playoffs, there has been one change where the conference champions are not guaranteed to have the highest seeds, though they are guaranteed to make the 16-team playoff. Conference champions of the BCAC, MassCon, NoComm, and SoComm are all guaranteed a spot with one of those conferences' champions getting the #1 overall seed. 2nd place and lower and all Independent teams can earn one of the 12 wildcard spots. Based on PAM's predictions, this is how that 16-team field would look in the first round, the Sweet 16: #1 Greenfield College (MassCon champs) vs #16 Acadia College (NoComm champs) #2 Northeastern (BCAC champs) vs #15 Mass Maritime (Ind) #3 Commonwealth (BCAC) vs #14 Westerly (SoComm champs) #4 Boston College (BCAC) vs #13 Mass Atlantic (MassCon) #5 Revere College (BCAC) vs #12 UMass-Lowell (MassCon) #6 Harvard (BCAC) vs #11 Plymouth (MassCon) #7 Endicott College (Ind) vs #10 CIT (BCAC) #8 Cape Cod (MassCon) vs #9 Mass Bay (BCAC) https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737208349 Top hitters in the league come from a variety of teams. The predicted top five hitters for the Top Collegiate Hitter Award are 2B Spud Sewell (UMass-Lowell), 2B Cool Papa Cornwell (Mass Maritime), LF Pop Dylan (CWU), 1B Palmer Smith (Fairfield), and 2B Phil Brodie (Glowing Sea). Junior 2B Stud Colgan of Assumption was the 2313 winner. Top Collegiate Pitcher Award candidates are Roof Watkins (Endicott), Christian Hill (Rhode Island), Bullets Barnes (Northeastern), Torcan Frawley (BostonColl), and Chad Scandal (CWU). Barnes (Soph) is looking to repeat as the award winner after a 12-1, 2.17 season in the Huskies' championship season. |

BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, CYL, and CBA by Nat Wright-Kawolski 16 March 2314 CYL Preview The The 88-team Commonwealth Youth League is set to begin its 2314 season today. Last season, the Covenant Dandy Boys topped the Braintree Schoolboys in the Commonwealth Youth Series. This season, PAM expects the Dandy Boys to again be the CYL's best team with the Hope Firestarters expected to be the top team in the South. Braintree is expected to win the South's Samuel Morse Division. Based on PAM's predictions, this is how the 32-team field, 16 per region, would look in the first round (note: division winners are the top five seeds per region): North Region #1 Covenant Dandy Boys (Fuller Division winner) vs #16 South Charles Bank Moonies (Revere) #2 Rockport Seafarers (DuBois Division winner) vs #15 Worcester Crows (Franklin) #3 Lowell Frags (Emerson Division winner) vs #14 Reading Rhinos (DuBois) #4 Circle Jerks (Revere Division winner) vs #13 Manchester Rocketeers (DuBois) #5 Needham Radstorm (Franklin Division winner) vs #12 Marblehead Mess (Emerson) #6 Beantown Sprouts (Fuller) vs #11 Boston Common Baby Bellies (Revere) #7 Saugus Launchers (Fuller) vs #10 Woburn Diners (Emerson) #8 Lynn Pier Gamers (Emerson) vs #9 North Charles Bank Goonies (Revere) South Region #1 Hope Firestarters (Adams Division winner) vs #16 Jamaica Plain Treasures (Alcott) #2 Dennis Menaces (Attucks Division winner) vs #15 Kingstown Royals (Adams) #3 Braintree Schoolboys (Morse Division winner) vs #14 East Providence Skulls (Adams) #4 New Bedford Whales (Alcott Division winner) vs #13 Truro Hatchlings (Attucks) #5 New Haven Sailors (Hancock Division winner) vs #12 GSP Venom (Alcott) #6 Coventry Quads (Adams) vs #11 Andrew Station Southies (Alcott) #7 Wellfleet Tarberries (Attucks) vs #10 Swansea Nuka Sox (Alcott) #8 Plymouth Hunters (Morse) vs #9 North Providence Phantoms (Adams) https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737292152 In the North Region, the Saugus Launchers' sophomore C Clam Krasnicki returns after winning the 2313 Most Valuable Player Award with a .407/22/52 line. This season, Krasnicki is not in the Top Ten prediction of top hitters. The top five are 1B Fuzz Copman (Castle Freedom), 1B Bruce Spring (Lowell Frags), 3B Merlin Hodges (Diamond City Newsboys), RF Bow Wow Vargas (Boston Common Baby Bellies), and SS Early Duvet (Worcester Crows). The 2313 Pitcher of the Year winner in the North was SP Izzy Ratishvili (7-2, 1.03) of the Newburyport Cubs. Like Krasnicki above, Ratishvili is not in the Top Ten for PAM's predictions. The top five pitchers predicted are SP Talley O'Reilly (Rockport Seafarers), SP Oscar Anvil (Woburn Diners), SP Mike Saerocker (Lowell Frags), SP Facehand Pankhurst (Rockport Seafarers), and SP Saracen Hottel (Rockport Seafarers). Three players from one team tells us that the Seafarers are a team to watch. The South Region's top hitter in 2313 was the Nuka Academy Colamakers' RF Darby O'Doherty (.442/27/61). Again, last season's winner is not expected to be a top competitor for the 2314 Most Valuable Player Award. The top five are 2B Headcase Stepniewski (New Haven Sailors), LF Glory Thea (Dennis Menaces), LF Grady Holster (Wareham Comets), RF Quirke Lyons (Coventry Quads), and RF Xavier Miller (Jamaica Plain Treasures). Rounding out the 2313 winners of awards--all freshmen--SP Nutball Solc (7-2, 1.71) of the Attleboro Deejays was the Pitcher of the Year winner. Solc is the first of last season's award winners to be in the Top Ten (8th prediction). The top five are SP Gerard Michon (Hope Firestarters), SP Wing Kawolski (Old Lyme Lake Monsters), SP Wayne Bruce (Coventry Quads), SP Hunter Kitchen (Old Lyme Lake Monsters), and SP Big Dog Monaghan (Jamaica Plain Treasures). |

BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, CYL, and CBA by Nat Wright-Kawolski 1 April 2314 The April 1 Super Post, Part 2 CBA Updates - March Recap We are in the final two weeks of the regular season in the 72-game CBA season. Some teams are playing their final few games, while a few others are playing catch-up at the end of the season. The top two teams of each conference make the playoffs, with the winners of each conference championship playing in the Commonwealth Championship Series for the first-ever CBA crown. Here is what we know. At 49-18, the Airport Aviators have clinched the #1 seed in the playoffs. Whether the play SCC rival Southie (38-30) in the playoffs depends whether or not the Jammers can win at least one of their final four games. Quincy (33-33) could jump them with a 6-0 finish and Southie fall. Boston (34-35) is eliminated from playoff contention. In the NCC, Salem (53-32) leads the conference by 4.5 games with five to play and has clinched a playoff spot as either the #1 or #2 seed in the NCC. Medford (29-35) could catch them, while Cambridge (27-38) is trying to overtake the Irish for the wildcard. Con-Lex (21-45) has already been eliminated but could finish in 3rd place with a flurry. Standings https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737378210 Power Rankings 1. Airport 2. Southie 3. Boston 4. Salem 5. Quincy 6. Cambridge 7. Medford 8. Con-Lex Player of the Month C Tre Davis, Boston - Davis wins the Player of the Month honors yet again with another grand month of performances for the sure-to-be MVP. In March, the Bugles played 21 games. The first game of the month was a stinker with Davis getting banged up and scoring only six points in 18 minutes. In the next 20 games, though, Davis scored in double digits with 14 being his low and only game below 20 points. On March 25, Davis scored 50 and added 12 rebounds in a matchup with Con-Lex. Davis had double-digit rebounds in 17 of the 21 matches played. Top Players It appears the final league leaders have been locked in for awhile. Again, there were zero changes this month to league leaders in each category. Let's breakdown the divisional races with just a few more games to play. North - The Portland Irish (41-18) have clinched at least 2nd place and hold a two-game lead over the Concord Colonials (39-20) for 1st place. The Portsmouth Hoops (16-44) have already clinched 8th (last) place. Downtown - The Jamaica Plain Thunderbirds (48-11) ran away with this division, possessing a 20-game lead over both the Lynn Superstars and Diamond City Heroes (28-31). The Everett Rattlers (27-32), Goodneighbor Outlaws (26-33), and Bunker Hill Storm (25-34) are all hoping for a shot at runners up. West - The Nuka World Wheelz (45-14) have also claimed their division crown, up 10 on the Hartford Beetles (35-24). The Beetles are up 1.5 games n the New Britain Coyotes (34-26) with no other team in contention for 2nd place. South - Finally, the Plymouth Sea Dogs (49-10) are champions of the South Division, eight games up on the Brockton Spartans (41-18). The Spartans have already clinched 2nd place with the Providence Hits and Fall River Sailors (37-22) four games back. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737378210 https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737378219 B]Top Players[/B] PPG - Topper Robinson, Nuka World - 28.9 APG - Come Lately Greenzone, Brockton - 12.8 RPG - Magnum McKie, Plymouth - 16.3 BPG - Come Lately Greenzone, Brockton - 2.0 SPG - Mike Raher, New Haven - 2.0 https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737378219 |

BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, CYL, and CBA by Nat Wright-Kawolski 6 April 2314 CBO Preview 2314 It is Monday, April 6, meaning that the 2314 season begins today when both the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys visit the Lexington Synths and the Bunker Hill 75ers play at the Cambridge Coursers at 1:05. The final night game to play on BNN at 9:05, Salem at The Slog, has some special significance in our season preview. Why does the Witch Hats-Ghouls matchup have special significance? Well, PAM believes these will be two of the CBO's best teams. In fact, based on record predictions, PAM believes that Vault 81 will edge The Slog in the Sole Survivor Series. Interestingly, both the Ghouls and Dwellers were in the semifinals of the Nuka Cup Tournament this season that the Silver Shroud eventually won. Speaking of the Shroud, PAM has them winning the Institute League, with Atom repeating as the Minutemen League champions. Of course, The Slog and Vault 81 are also predicted to win the Brotherhood and Railroad leagues, respectively. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737420616 According to PAM, the playoffs would look like this: NCA 1. The Slog 2. Fort hagen 3. Salem 4. County Crossing 5. Concord 6. Lexington PAM has the Party Boys and Cambridge as the first teams out, with Bunker Hill, Starlight, and defending NCA champions, Nahant, all expected to compete for a playoff spot. Despite some improvements, including #1 overall pick, 2B Finnan Hunt, getting the nod to bat leadoff on opening day, Easy Town is expected to finish at the bottom of the NCA once again, though they would be better than Spectacle Island, expected to finish at the bottom of the CBO. SCA 1. Vault 81 2. Atom 3. FHE 4. Oberland 5. University Point 6. Diamond City PAM expects there to be some distance between 6th place and 7th place in the SCA race. Other potential playoff contenders include Quincy, Glowing Sea, Egret, and Jamaica Plain. Roxbury, Southie, Goodneighbor, and the Reapers are all expected to battle for the #1 overall pick. For top players expected in the 2314 season, first, let's look at the NCA. In contention for the Nuka Hitter Award are 1B Brian DeLong (Sal), LF Jig McGhee (Sal), LF Kasumi Goto (BH), SS Gavin Deux-Gas (Slog), and RF Orcin Cardinal (FtH). Last season's winner was DeLong, his first. In the battle for the NCA's Vim! Pitcher Award, Cambridge's Hry Caje is the favorite, followed by Flirt Perez (Slog), Paul Stains (Sal), Scott Fuhr (Slog), and Clubhouse Treelover (FtH). Sarthis Idren was last season's winner. Treelover won the SCA's award with Goodneighbor in 2312. Stains did the same in 2310 with Diamond City. In the SCA's Nuka Hitter Award "race," an "unknown" in University Point 1B Barker Cocoa is the favorite. On a more serious note, the race for second place is expected to be 2B Odd Todd Walker (Obe), RF Joe Rathmann (V81), LF Danny Faraday (UP), and 2B Will Hell (Qui). Naga Arakaki of Glowing Sea was the surprise 2313 winner, breaking up Cocoa's four-season streak and preventing him from winning his 10th award in 11 years. In 2308, Spectacle Island's Homestay Lovetap broke up Cocoa's five-year streak. Rathmann won the Nuka Hitter Award in 2300. hell was last season's Red Rocket Rookie Award winner, with Arakaki winning that same award in 2311. As far as the Vim! Pitcher Award is concerned, the favorite is Atom's Doug Creep, followed by Vault 81's Scruffy Taguchi, Diamond City's Heaven Fontenot, the Dwellers' Exxie Summerset, and Oberland's Ahsoki Tano. Creep is looking to win his second-straight. Fontenot won the award in 2311. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737420616 Top Prospects The season is about to start, so it's time to publish the annual BNN Top 100 Prospects list. This year, 21 year-old 2B Finnan Hunt of the Easy Town Assaultrons is the #1 prospect overall. Here is the top 10: 1) 2B Finnan Hunt, 21, Easy Town Assaultrons 2) 3B Miko Mikolayunas, 20, Bunker Hill 75ers 3) 1B Lance Tinter, 21, Malden Grognaks 4) RHP Aaron Noluh, 19, Lexington Synths 5) 1B Charles Towner, 19, Diamond City Swatters 6) LF Pro Jabonete, 20, Cambridge Coursers 7) LHP Kevin Gauzeman, 20, Concord Radstags 8) RHP Jacques Of'Ten, 20, Starlight Killers 9) 3B Ivan Abeyta, 19, Sunshine Tidings Chemists 10) 3B Donovan Mackey, 21, Spectacle Island Reapers Hunt, Mikolayunas (who has started going by Miko Miko), Towner, Gauzeman, Of'Ten, and Mackey are all expected to start the season in the CBO. We mentioned that Hunt was the #1 overall pick in the 2313 Draft. Other true rookies are Miko (52nd overall by FHE) and Mackey (7th overall). Here is the Complete List: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737420616 The Top Systems based on the number of Top 100 prospects: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737420621 |

BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, and CYL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 20 April 2314 CBO Analysis After 13 games in the 2314 season, we will not pretend to know what the final pitch of the Sole Survivor Series will look like. What we can do, however, is to conjecture on the relevance of the first 13 games and what could happen the rest of the way. To start off with, PAM predicted Vault 81 and The Slog (based on record) to be the top two teams in the CBO. While that is not quite accurate, the Ghhouls are the CBO's sole 10-game winner, while the Dwellerts are tied for 1st place after overcoming great first weeks by two of their league rivals. Let's breakdown each league, but first . . . Here are the current team power rankings for Commonwealth Baseball Organization: Teams (Total Points, Tendency): 1) The Slog Ghouls (141.4, +) 2) Southie Brews (130.6, ++) 3) Lexington Synths (128.6, +) 4) Easy Town Assaultrons (121.7, ++) 5) Cambridge Coursers (118.7, ++) 6) Concord Radstags (118.7, ++) 7) Bunker Hill 75ers (115.7, ++) 8) Vault 81 Dwellers (115.7, o) 9) Oberland T-51s (106.7, --) 10) Quincy Gunners (100.8, +) 11) Glowing Sea Radscorpions (97.8, ++) 12) Malden Grognaks (97.8, -) 13) Spectacle Island Reapers (97.8, ++) 14) Salem Witch Hats (96.8, --) 15) Diamond City Swatters (88.8, --) 16) Nahant Celtics (86.2, ++) 17) Egret Ninjas (85.2, ++) 18) Fort Hagen Silver Shroud (82.2, -) 19) Starlight Killers (80.2, --) 20) Nordhagen Beach Party Boys (70.3, ++) 21) Goodneighbor Hancocks (64.3, ++) 22) University Point Deathclaws (64.3, --) 23) County Crossing Bloodbugs (63.3, --) 24) FHE Yao Guai (51.4, +) 25) Sunshine Tidings Chemists (51.4, --) 26) Atom Cats (50.4, --) 27) Jamaica Plain Red Rockets (48.4, --) 28) Roxbury Rad Sox (46.4, --) Brotherhood League As mentioned, the Ghouls are at the top of the mountain two weeks into the season. Four other teams--Easy Town, Salem, and Malden--are above .500 with the last two teams--Nordhagen Beach and County Crossing--just three games under .500. The defending NCA champions, Nahant, sit in 5th at 6-7. The Assaultrons are not expected to finish the season anywhere near the playoffs, so at 8-5 and two games back of The Slog for 1st, it is a good time to feature the Trons. Easy Town's seven-game winning streak, including 6-0 this week, is a good way to look good. Tied for 5th in runs scored (72_ and 5th in runs allowed (61), Easy Town is doing what needs to be done to be a winning team. Five players are currently hitting over .300, led by SS Albie Cannibal (.396/6/16). Cannibal finished .265/22/72 and won one Rookie of the Month Award, though he did not finish in the top five of the yearly award. On the mound, starters have not been great, currently 9th in ERA (4.61) with Jeremy Wyckoff (1-0, 2.20) the only one doing OK so far. The bullpen has been a bit better, tied for 4th at 3.55. RP Claw Wetwalker (1-0, 0.00) has pitched nine scoreless innings to lead the bullpen. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737495818 Institute League At 9-4, Lexington has a one-game lead on all three of Bunker Hill, Cambridge, and Concord. Starlight and Fort Hagen sit at three back, both a game under .500, while Sunshine Tidings is tied with four SCA teams with the CBO's worst record. We have implied that we think Concord may be the next team to take a step up to competition. At 8-5 and on a four-game winning streak, the Radstags may be in the hunt to make a run this season. Statsitically, they should be #1 or at least #2 behind The Slog. The Stags are tied for 3rd in runs scored (74) and 1st in runs allowed (48), including tops in Starters ERA (2.96). A trio of decent average, high power hitters man the middle in 1B hax Kim (.289/6/12), LF Jannar Arbor (.283/4/7), and 3B Mike Fountaineau (.302/5/9). RF gargoyle Falcone (.419/0/10) has been a great veteran contributor early on. On the mound, all four starters possess an ERA below 4.00: Leyden Aigg (2-0. 2.33), Mel Gorgeous (2-1, 2.57), Chad Nailgun (2-1. 3.93), and Chris Schneier (1-0, 2.35). Two players in the bullpen have the anomaly 0-1, 0.00 ERA in Teetop Spinks and Ulfar Unending. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737495818 Minutemen League We still feel that the ML is the CBO's weakets league, and they will probably not disappoint. The team helping that was a team that started yesterday in sole possession of the worst record in the CBO, the defending champion Atom Cats. Thanks to a win yesterday, the Cats are now tied with Jamaica Plain for the ML's worst record. Southie is in control thanks to a mid-week series win over Quincy, two games back and tied with Spectacle Island for 2nd place and the only teams above .500. Goodneighbor and University Point are tied for 4th place at four games back of the Brews. For Atom, everything that went right in 2313 is going in the opposite direction in 2314 despite a few studs on the roster. On offense, the Cats are 10th in runs scored (56) despite being statistically better than that rank in most other categories, including being 4th in average (.274). LF Gremlin T. Squarfish (.407/1/8) may not have the pop but he does lead the team in hitting. Both 3B Hulk Seepley (.277/5/11) and 2B Lee Mayhew (.278/4/8) have been carrying the power game. On the mound, ace Doug Creep (1-2, 4.74) has struggled mightily a season after going 21-8 and winning the Vim! Pitcher Award. Despite the losing record, second starter Josh Brown (1-2, 3.31) has been the best in results. RPs Sebastian Brakefield (0-0 0.00) and Lippy Lyonne (0-0. 1.17) have been the best bullpen pitchers. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737495825 Railroad League Vault 81 and Oberland currently lead the RL at 8-6, while Diamond City and Glowing Sea sit a game back. The records for the T-51s and Swatters are dubious because each went 7-0 in Week 1. Diamond City had the biggest Dog and God moments of the season, going 7-0 and then 0-6. (Howard has mentioned another universe where a team called the Cougars were quite similar, looking amazing one week and then bombing the next.) Egret is one game under .500, while Roxbury and FHE share the rear and five-way tie for the #1 overall pick. The Swatters may just have had a week of bad luck because they are statistically looking pretty good. Diamond City is 4th in runs scored (69) and 6th in runs allowed (57). SS Alex Bragman (.370/5/13) has taken control of the team and probably should demand that he bats higher in the lineup than 6th. On the mound, the only starter excelling is ace Macho Lopez (1-0, 1.69). Heaven Fontenot (1-2, 4.87) and Elastic Man Haley (2-1, 5.62) have struggled to start. CL Burt Bloodhound (3 SV, 0.00) has done his job well from the bullpen. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737495825 CBO Standings https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737495818 CBO Players of the Week April 13 - Albie Cannibal demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the North Charles Association Player of the Week Award. The Easy Town shortstop wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .419 average (13-for-31) with 6 home runs and 13 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. All week long Stormin Normin MacDonald was the toughest out in the South Charles Association and that is the prime reason he was voted the Player of the Week. The Oberland shortstop rapped out 13 hits in 23 at-bats for a .565 batting average, drove in 7 runs and scored 4 times. April 20 - It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Kasumi Goto, the Bunker Hill 75ers 25-year-old left fielder, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for North Charles Association Player of the Week honors. He ripped 11 hits in 22 at-bats, compiling a .500 average with 4 home runs and 6 RBIs. 22-year-old Copper Quartz sent shock waves through Commonwealth Baseball Organization last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the South Charles Association Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Quartz made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .524 average, 11 hits in 21 at-bats, 5 home runs and 14 RBI. Where the Egret Ninjas center fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Quartz certainly made his mark last week. CBO Noteworthy News April 12 - The Witch Hats Chris Teddybear wrote his name in the league history books by picking up career victory number 150 today against the Malden Grognaks. In the Salem 7-2 triumph at Vim! Park of Salem, the 38-year-old hurler went 7 innings, allowed 4 hits and had 4 strikeouts and 2 walks. "I won't forget this day," an emotional Teddybear told reporters. "It's hard to stay at the top for so long and to win 150 games is quite a feat." Lifetime Teddybear has registered a 150-85 record with a 3.46 ERA. |

BNN Report News from the CBO, Minors, CCBL, CYL, and CBA by Nat Wright-Kawolski 14 April 2314 CBA Playoffs Preview: Conference Championships A View of Basketball History in Boston While I was well aware growing up in Diamond City about the history of baseball in Boston, it has been an interesting ride to learn about basketball. While the Boston baseball team was an abject failure, the basketball team was the opposite of that, winning more championships than any other team in the league that was mostly known as the National Basketball Association. According to Nate Howard, Boston's team, the Celtics, was still winning championships all the way until the end. In exploring this history, I was struck with how the rising tensions of the 21st Century changed the structure of the league from a high of 32 teams starting in the 2026-2027 season all the way to contraction and only 12 teams playing by the 2076-2077 season. The last champions of the NBA? The Boston Celtics defeated the Chicaco Bulls, 4 games to 3. It was Boston's 31st championship in team history, beginning with the first one in 1957. As of the 2072-2073 season, the playoffs were made up of the first four seeds (two per conference) seeded regardless of conference. They just played regular season games versus their own conference. The final standings of 2076-2077 looked this way with the six teams of each conference playing all regular season games between each other due to travel restrictions and costs: Eastern Conference Boston Celtics 41-11 Chicago Bulls 38-14 Washington Patriots 31-21 Kentucky Colonels 26-26 Cleveland Cavaliers 19-33 Hartford Guardians 11-41 Western Conference Austin Outlaws 40-12 Golden State Warriors 36-16 San Diego Surf 31-21 Las Vegas Royals 24-28 Denver Nuggets 20-32 Seattle Supersonics 16-36 Playoffs #1 Boston 3, #4 Golden State 0 #3 Chicago 3, #2 Austin 2 Boston 4, Chicago 3 CBA Playoff Preview Now that I noted all my distractions in learning more about basketball for this playoff preview, it is noted that the CBA plans to lock into eight teams for now and the near future. There could be relocations/team name changes, but there will be no more than eight pro teams for now. If basketball takes off in the Commonwealth, there could be future expansion. Playoff matchups are the top two teams of the NCC and SCC playing in a conference championship with the winners of those series moving on to the Commonwealth Championship series. This season, the NCC representatives are the #1 Salem Shadows and the #2 Medford Irish. In the SCC, representatives are the #1 Airport Aviators and #2 Southie Jammers. Higher seeds get home-court advantage with Airport holding the top record in the CBA. NCC: #1 Salem Shadows (38-34) vs #2 Medford Irish (34-38) https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737651983 The NCC was inferior to the SCC in the CBA's first season, but that does not mean these two teams cannot be dangerous. Salem won the NCC regular season crown, thanks in part to their 8-4 season record against Medford. In a conference decided by four games, the four-game series advantage was that difference. The Shadows are led by a tough 1-2 punch of PG JB Letterhead (25.6 PPG) and Licker Sam Arnold (12.6 RPG, 7.6 APG). SF Jamal Pleick led the team with 1.3 steals per game, while C Armand Penn led with 1.0 blocks per game. For the Irish, PG Junji Christie (25.1 PPG, 9.8 APG, 1.4 SPG) was the star with top contributions from C Jarian JaNian (8.4 RPG) and SF Sympath Wilder (0.6 BPG). Wilder (17.2) and Miracle Lucius (15,2) were the second and third scorers. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737652197 Looking at the team versus team matchups, Salem seems to have most of the advantages. The Shadows barely outscored their opponents (113.1-112.4), but Medford was outscored (107.4-110.2). Salem also has its biggest advantages in rebounds, outrebounding its opponents by 7.6 rebounds per game, while the Irish were outrebounded by 2.0 per game. We are just going to go with which team seems to be better, and that team is the Shadows. We think they take it in six. Salem 4, Medford 2 SCC: #1 Airport Aviators (53-19) vs #2 Southie Jammers (41-31) https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737651983 Airport surged ahead of the rest of the pack, winning an impressive 53 games in the 2313-14 season. Southie was no slouch, finishing only behind the Aviators in the standings. Part of that difference came from the Aviators' commanding 9-3 season record versus the Jammers. That includes a five-game winning streak in all five games played in 2314. Really, the Aviators never had true competition for the top spot. The assists leader was PG Brick Watson (6.7), and PF BB Whiteman led the team in steals (1.4). SF Fickle Fitzpatrick averaged nearly a double-double per game (15.9 PPG, 8.2 RPG). The Aviators are guided by the superstar power of C DA Forte. While Forte is not considered to be an MVP frontrunner (that seems to be Boston's Tre Davis), he did lead the team in PPG (25.9), RPG (13.2), and BPG (2.1). Those numbers put Forte fourth in PPG and 1st in both rebounds and blocks. For Southie, they were led by the double scoring threat of PG Vee Tsankov (24.1) and C Rhese Johnson (19.6). Tsankov also led in assists (9.8). Johnson also led the team in RPG (7.2) and BPG (1.2). SG Ritchie Kerr was the steals leader (2.0). PF Isaac Tibbetts (16.1 PPG, 6.6 RPG, 1.9 SPG) was also a top contributor on the team. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&d=1737652197 In the team vs team statistical comparisons, most categories go to Airport. The top-scoring team also had the greatest point margin of 8.1 points per game (114.8-106.7), while the Jammers outscored their opponents by just a point (110.8-109.2). Southie's best categories came in the turnovers department where they had a league low of 10.8 turnovers per game, while maintaining the top number of turnovers forced at 15.1. Airport only had a 1.6 turnovers per game advantage. This matchup seems to be an easy one to predict, expecting that both the Aviators and Jammers perform as they did in the regular season. Southie just cannot match the intensity that Airport brings to the court. Airport 4, Southie 1 |
Seems like you got basketball working and I'm loving it! The history portion is cool too, didn't realize how much basketball changed in the Fallout world
Looking at the playoffs though, Aviators seem like the team to beat. Impressive Vee Tskanov led in points and assists, hard to impact your team much more then that. Though Forte's points and rebound numbers are impressive. I expect the winner there to win it all |
