To answer your question on how we come up with so many photos just go to Ebay or Google enter the name it's as simple as that! The photos I found and been posting the last few days came from there. Also you can use Corbis and Getty images I used a bunch of the photos from those sites the past few days as well. As far as the missing players that is a bit more tricky some are from scans of old books magazines ect. You just have to want to put in the time to do so. Hope this helps you out :)

Although the archive issues seem to have been settled I'll offer my
opinions anyway.
I agree the facepack should still be one image per player and indexed
by the his first year in the majors. Of course the best picture should
be used regardless of uniform with the preference of color over black
and white and a photo over a drawing.
It would be a shame though if the tremendous color shots of players
in various uniforms being posted here would not be available to those
of us who would want a pic in the appropriate uniform when doing a
historical replay. Creating an alphabetical archive by player name is
a possibility but a tremendous amount of work to create unique names
for the various pictures of each player. An archive by team name or
franchise is another possibility as well as another massive undertaking.

Personally, I would like to see this facepack by team and year. I realize that is more work than an alphabetical listing by player name. Either way it is going to be a lot of work. I, for one, appreciate everyone who has posted pictures here. This adds so much to the game, as I am sure everyone knows.
As for using the best color pictures rather than black and white, I am not so sure that I really agree with that. Players in the thirties and forties, especially, I always change to black and white. They just seem to look more realistic for the time period to me. But if you want to put the color ones in instead, that is fine, I will just change them to black and white myself....that is not a problem

Anyway, any idea when this might be worked on and finally released? I may just download each picture separately but that is a lot of work in itself.
Thanks again to all of you for putting the work in to get these pictures.:)

RE: Claude Passeau

Thanks to Bill II's fine color work the photopack with one photo per player has the best image of Passeau to date. Passeau debut was 1935. I believe the color photo to be in Phillies uni.
