Mike Jirschele Then and Now
2 Attachment(s)
Jirschele played 13 minor league seasons as a utility infielder hitting .225. His entire career as a player , big league coach and minor league manager is a testament to a positive attitude and perseverance. 1300 plus minor league wins as a manager and more importantly he is well respected as a mentor and as a baseball man,
Mike Jirschele had three brothers who all succumbed to Muscular Dystrophy in their forties. Mike was spared this relentless affliction and became a successful athlete playing baseball and football at the University of Wisconsin and spending 50 years in a baseball life. He is currently manager of the Omaha Storm Chasers in his 17th season as manager. A tenure interrupted by coaching stints for the Kansas City Royals . Jirschele was the thirdbase coach on their 2015 World Series winner. https://www.baseball-reference.com/r...d=jirsch001mic https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Jirschele |

Per Lumpkin's request, here's a photo of McCladdie with the 1997 Pittsfield Mets. I've added a second photo showing him with the GCL Devil Rays.

Edgardo Larregui
In response to Lumpkin request above, just Google "Ed Larregui" and you'll find all sorts of minor league baseball cards of this player. Same for Sean Twitty. I don't have time to do your research.

I'm not trying to discourage you from posting on this thread, but when you get down to specifying that a photo of a player whose only distinction was being drafted by a major league team or who only played in very low minor league levels in that franchise needs to appear in a major league uniform for that photo to be of interest to you, the odds of finding that photo are too low for me to spend my time looking for it. Maybe someone else will help you in that kind of a pursuit. |

Does anybody have a picture of the 1945 Braves minor leaguer Peter Manzi?

Darrell Pruitt

Darrell Pruitt played in the White Sox, Reds and Braves organizations 1984 to 1989 playing' second base. He had good speed and hit the ball well but never rose above AA. At 5'8 ... perhaps he was flagged as an "Organizational Player." Darrell Pruitt passed away at 60 in 2023. Pictured here with the 1988 Chattanooga Lookouts.
