Every season, we had to change hometowns so that they came from the fictional cities. Before, facegen, we found pictures for our players. The free agency was done manually, emailing bids, that was hard to do. The draft was hard to do in forums, before we had the mods that helped with that. It was an awful lot. And we went thru several commishes because of it.

It would be great to get a fictional world online league started now.

Thank you for saying that. i still miss it. We've tried on a couple of occasions to reboot the league. But it always fall through. i dunno' maybe when we're all retired.

That league was created by portlander/9lives i couldn't take it over even if i wanted to. i helped bring the life, but so did a lot of other owners. (And if i tried to list all of them, i would miss a name...) In fact, that league is so real to me, that i feel about it the way i feel about the real major leagues. If i just let the the a.i. run Broncdom or Kron'nul or Zorphyr, it wouldn't be the same. i do have the logos. i really have enough of the old files to do a pretty good history of the league.

i have been working on my own fictional world. i have a map. i have a history. But i'm a bit of a perfectionist. So i'm slow to start. Once i get it going. i want it to last like yours has.

i love the Metro Leagues, too. i've been following it since he started it. i bounce back and forth between setting up a web page, like MetroLeagues or do a dynasty like you. And i've also become a fan of the Newland Continental Baseball League. i love fictional world leagues. Hopefully, some day soon, i'll be able to share mine with the community.

Looking forward to your new league. I know it will be a great one.

It has proven too hard for me to report daily on two dynasty leagues.

Therefore I will not make daily updates on each league, the Islandian Pro Alliance and the State Line League, I will just update one of them per day.

You are a shining example for all of us writers, Eugene, especially at 75. You do what makes you happy, especially with all the joy you bring to others through your tales.

Honored to call myself a fan.

Lordy mercy, I must be getting old... I did the division recaps in the wrong order... should have done Tycobbian North first after I completed the Ruthlandian divisions.

Yeah... I know what you're thinking... HE IS OLD .;)

BRANHAM VOTED THE PRO CUP MVP
It was not a unamimous choice for the baseball scribes. In the vote, the pollsters selected Arlon's fabulous rookie Erik Branham over the veteran Lanny Gray in the IPA Pro Cup Most Valuable Player balloting. Branham was named on 56 ballots and Gray on 42. The other two votes went to position players Ivan Cisneros and Carlo Campanella.

It was not an easy decision to make... Branham, a 23-year-old right-hander, went unbeaten in seven starts in the Pro Cup playoffs, charting a 5-0 record with two shutouts and a sterling 1.76 ERA... Gray, a 35-year-old southpaw, was equally as brilliant with three shutouts and a 0.72 ERA in six starts... however, Gray was only 4-2 record-wise, a crucial element in the balloting... he lost two close games, 1-0 and 3-0... Cisneros and Campanella were the best run providers for the new IPA champion... first baseman Cisneros hit .268 with 3 homers, 12 RBIs and 11 runs scored, while second baseman Campanella hit .308 with 2 roundtrippers, 13 runs and 7 RBIs.

During the regular season Erik Branham was 22-13 in 39 starts with a 2.09 ERA... Lonnie Gray chalked up a 21-14 mark and a 2.89 ERA... Ivan Cisneros had a fairly good year with a .271 BA, 20 homers, 87 RBIs and 99 runs, while Campanella batted only a modest .258 with 6 home runs, 40 RBIs and scored 75 runs.
