I wish this league could be made into a quickstart.

Great season. Great playoffs.

Not familiar with quickstarts.

I am pretty computer illiterate... can only do the basics involved in OOTPB.

What makes a good quickstart?

Is there really enough interest in the IPA to do it?

Who would be willing to create a quckstart using the IPA?

I don't have OOTP 17--the latest version I have is OOTP 14--but I think there is a way in the "game" dropdown menu--the same one you use to save the game--to select "create quickstart," and have the game itself just create a quickstart file.

I think any interesting league, like yours, would make a good quickstart. :)

If you can use the IPA as a quickstart, give me detailed instructions on how to create it and I will try to do it for you or anyone else that would like it.

Sorry, guys... I have lost my computer... Windows 10 was installed on it without my permission... when my tech guy tried to uninstall it, my computer froze up... so I now have no computer... the tech guy is trying to solve the problem, but can't... he has assured me that the data is ok... hope he is correct... otherwise I will have lost the IPA.

I have a backup after the 2051 season, but could lose the last 5 years if the tech guy isn't correct about the data being safe on the computer.

BEWARE... MICROSOFT WILL INSTALL WINDOWS 10 ON YOUR COMPUTER WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION.

IF YOU DON'T WANT IT, GET SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING TO UNINSTALL IT.

The tech guy removed Windows 10 from my wife's computer successfully, but it never was installed on it... it was just available to be installed should she want it.... she didn't.

Be aware that some of your programs and software will not work with Windows 10.

That's not good news. I'll keep my fingers crossed that your data is still there, and the IPA isn't lost.

Definitely bad news. Same thing happened to my mom's PC.

Even if you have to get another PC you should be able to attach the hard drive and get the data from the league. As long as you don't get the drive wiped clean.

Good News!

My computer repair guy said they have solved the problem and should be able restore my computer to Windows 7... the way it was before Windows 10 took my computer over.

I'll know what the situation will be sometimes Monday.

Despite putting in a new hard drive and all the data from my old hard drive, I cannot activate OOTP12 and OOTP16 which I use for my IPA and State Line League dynasty reports.

When I put in the Game ID, a window pops up and says the game cannot be activated... try again later... it doesn't work later either.

I have bought me a new computer... went back to my old tech support guy... and will soon know if he can fix all my problems.

The repair shop that tried to uninstall Windows 10 and restore Windows 7 apparently didn't know how to do it... they just cost me time, money and perhaps my dynasties.

It's ironic, but I will have to install Windows 10 on my new computer... you can no longer buy Windows 7... I'm stuck with 10 and will just have to get used to it.

Scott Winn on the OOTP Developmental Team has helped me activate my licenses.

But I'm afraid the uninstallation of Windows 10 and the reinstallation of Windows 7 has corrupted the OOTPB files.

Bought a new computer and will get a very savvy computer tech to see what he can do to save the IPA and State Line League for me.
