It's beginning to look like I have lost my two dynasty leagues, the IPA and the State Line League... files were corrupted while uninstalling Windows 10 and converting back to Windows 7.

There's a chance that OOTP Developmnent may be able to save it for me. I'm waiting to hear from them now.

Backup... Backup... BACKUP.

I know this should be done, but didn't do it.

From now on, I will backup up my leagues after every season.

Keeping my fingers crossed. i still think you should be able to find your leagues here:

C:\Users\<your name>\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 17\saved_games

... asuming you installed to the default location.

Sorry to report, the Islandian Pro Alliance is history.

Thanks to all of you who followed it over the years... it was you who kept the IPA going... I just covered it on a regular basis.

Thanks to all of you modders who created the wonderful logos, jerseys and caps for me... you really made the players and the teams seem real... at least to me... not only did you create all of the graphics... you allowed this old nitpicker to choose colors and designs... and even did many, many revisions for me over it 12-year existence.

Thanks to all of you who helped this computer-challenged curmudgeon to navigate the game and the forum in order to post the IPA reports.

Thanks to all of you who wrote team histories and created the towns for me... you really made the IPA come alive so much, I tried to get my wife to move to the Islands when I retired.

As the Islandian Pro Alliance sails off into the sunset, I gloriously salute each and every one of you... and smilingly wave a very fond goodbye from starboard bow of the good ship IPA.

Remember... "There's no crying in baseball".

Actually, Windows 10 isn't bad... just takes a little time to get used to... but I don't appreciate it commandeering my computer... that's wasn't right.

But all's well that ends well... I got a new computer... and it is faster than my old one... and OOTP17 is really great... and I'm excited about playing a new dynasty league
In addition, I will only have to cover 8 teams in my new dynasty report... had 64 to administer in the Islandian Pro Alliance.

My new dynasty will be the Southern Association from 1947-1959... It will be replay of each season... I hope to mimic it as much as OOTP17 will do it... I am getting most of the stats from Baseball-Reference and manually creating the players... fielding stats are tough to come by in some cases... but I think batting and pitching ratings will be pretty close to reality and the way it was in those seasons.

Got some great news... I found a backup of the IPA beginning with the 2052 season... so there's a chance I may be able to begin again.

When I lost the IPA to a computer snafu I had gone through 2056... so I'll lose those 5 seasons.

Let's hope the backup is functional.

Things are looking good for a revival of the Islandian Pro Alliance.

The reinstalled game looks like it is working properly.

I'm working on the new rookies for each club right now... should be able to play the 2052 season fairly soon.

Gotta go find all of the new IPA logos and uniforms... I didn't put them in until 2052... so they are not currently in the game database.

Working on the rosters for the 2052 season... may take a week or so... but will soon begin reports on the Islandian Pro Alliance.

Updated 20 of 64 rosters for the 2052 season.

32 of the 64 rosters are complete.

Sorry to take so long... I miss the IPA.

Got to get busier.

Then I can kick off the 2052 season.

It takes about an hour and a half for each team.

Will make a concerted effort to get them all updated by this weekend.

56 of 64 teams done... just 8 more to go and I can have some fun again.

Only 2 teams remain... 62 have been updated with new rookies.

Hope to finish them tonight... and hopefully get into the 2052 season of the Islandian Pro Alliance.
