Thanks!

I have not seen this referenced, so apologies if I missed it.
Will you be adding this to the Workshop on Steam for those who play that way. And the historical stadiums? Thanks for your work. Adds such a contribution to game IMHO. |

Bless you good sir. The historical stadiums really make the game for me.

oh cool, last year was the first time I used them and wasn't sure if I could re-use the same files in the next release or not. Thanks!

Is there a trick for the jersey fonts? I'm trying to load the classic Florida Marlins Teal Uniforms and everything works great except when I select the Marlins jersey font it defaults back to the obnoxious default red numbers and letters. I have to select the Miami Marlins font and that doesn't quite go, you know?

I'm not seeing the \data folder for 24 when I look at my OOTP 24 folders in Finder. I'm working with a Mac. Here's the screen shot of the folders.

Thank you Mike for all you do for the OOTP community.
I have tried setting up some historical games with OOTP24 and I think I am learning by mistakes as I go along. There seems to be good news and other news. The good news: 1. I copied a couple of silvam14 historical parks directly from my OOTP23 ballpark models folder and pasted them into the OOTP24 ballpark models folder. They worked fine with my old cam angles intact along with the new and improved animated crowds looking good in the silvam14 historical ballparks. 2. I downloaded silvam14s new historical uniforms with the silvam14 name and 14 number wiped and they also appear to work in the games I tested so far. 3. I copied the OOTP24 fg_files folder and renamed the copy org_fg_files. I then copied all the historic facegens by fancyskunk that I used in OOTP23 and pasted to add them in the OOTP24 fg_files folder. The historic facegens by fancyskunk also appear to work. 4. At your team's setting uniform setting page one can uncheck the names on the back for home and/or away jerseys. The year of my test (1959) for most teams that year had numbers and not names. Unchecking name makes it easy to work with these historical uniforms. 5. Likewise one can check for short pants. The whole team then is in short pants without the need to go to each and every player page to put him in short pants. Other news: 1. It appears that one cannot force a whole team to wear one color of shoes. If you want to have everyone in for example black shoes you have to go to the player's edit page and assign him black shoes and you have to do that for every single player if you want all the say 1959 guys in black shoes. Otherwise, players will wear random colors of shoes. 2. Short pants with stockings will have the stockings in the team Background Color. I personally liked changing my Dodgers stockings to a lighter shade of blue for their stockings and I changed the 1959 Indians stockings from red to blue and the 1959 Red Sox stockings from blue to red. Maybe someday a future OOTP will allow some editing of stockings to show for example stripes in various colors and stirrups with sanitary socks showing, but for now the short pants do improve the historical games. 3. My 1959 Dodgers for some reason were with red numbers on the back of their jerseys with font dodgers58-71.png but I was able to get them in the correct blue back numbers with font dodgers.webp. One might have to play around a bit with fonts to get the names and numbers in the correct color. 4. Be sure to have Ballcap home and away colors in the hue desired for batting helmets. The Red Sox will have red helmets in 1959 unless you change the Ballcap color to the correct for that year blue. One wish from Mike: I understand why you wiped silvam14 and number 14 from the back of jerseys but could you consider adding a number in correct color like 14 for silvam or 42 for jackie robinson to the front of all jerseys who historically had front numbers. An example would then show for example a 1959 Dodger with his actual 1959 number in blue on his back and but show maybe a red 42 on the front. (Currently, silvam14 has no front numbers on his historical jerseys right now but maybe he is waiting for the developers to someday allow actual front numbers). Thanks again, Mike! I have a couple of examples of my 1959 efforts with your parks and uniforms with OOTP24 on Twitch by searching videos by kcstengelsr. One is Braves at Dodgers with correct blue Dodgers number on back and no red numbers on front and with Dodgers stockings edited to lighter shade of blue. The other is Red Sox in red socks at Kansas City but both teams afterwards had their Ballcap Colors edited so Boston will in the future wear blue batting helmets instead of red and the A's will wear a darker shade of blue helmet. I am still testing and learning with OOTP24 and historical games. I am sure I will learn more as I go along. |

Glad you like the new changes! I wrestled with what I should do with the front numbers and sleeve numbers for some teams. I ultimately decided to take them off but I could add them back relatively easily if I need to. I was think of using 00 if I were to do it but I’m still thinking about it. I’d like to get others’ thoughts on this Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

My 2 cents, take it for what it's worth. :) |
