If nobody minds, I'm ready to move the Blitzkrieg Boppers back into OL. They're tired of taking a beating in the wild. They are in bronze, but are in danger of relegation to iron. As always, zero dimes have been spent on them and they have no live or future legend cards.
They've reverted to old type and are once again an 80's theme team (and Jackie Robinson (non-SE), because I said so).. If approved, they will undergo their official -OL addition on Sunday and will revert back to their familiar logo, because I was lazy in putting it back on after it got reset. :p Username: retro80s |
Took a quick survey...

I can never have enough Magus, but I'm biased. An informal poll of some of the folks playing at the backyard barbecue seems to concur with me. Bring back the Boppers!

Is it this one?

I159 update...
- Otonokizaka (93-65) have clinched the AC East and still have a shot to be the #1 seed. Asheboro (91-67) will host the NC Wildcard round. - Cochise County (83-75) are hanging on in the AC West. Vlora (81-77) are still on the fringes of the wildcard hunt, but are closer in the division. No guarantees that either make it. - Daytona Beach (77-81) will stay in Iron for sure, as they cannot make the playoffs. The OL standings are almost complete. I say almost because Otonokizaka goes to Vlora for 4 games. The Muse still have a hope of winning the crown, but they must sweep. Anything less, and it's Asheboro's crown. Standings are pictured below, as well as scenarios for each situation. Otonokizaka Sweep: Otonokizaka (11-6) finish at .647 and win the crown. Vlora (12-18) end at .400 and fall to 5th. Otonokizaka take 3 of 4: Otonokizaka (10-7) finish at .588 and tie with Daytona Beach for 2nd, Vlora (13-17) finish at .433 and fall to 5th. Asheboro win the crown. Series Split: Otonokizaka (9-8) finish at .529 and remain 3rd. Vlora (14-16) finish at .466 and remain 4th. Asheboro win the crown. Vlora take 3 of 4: Otonokizaka (8-9) fall to .470 and finish 4th. Vlora (15-15) move to .500 and finish 3rd. Asheboro win the crown. Vlora Sweep: Otonokizaka (7-10) fall to .411 and finish 5th. Vlora (16-14) move to .533 and finish 3rd. Asheboro win the crown. |
Asheboro wins the Iron crown after Vlora defeats Otonokizaka in game 2 of their series.
Also, Blitzkrieg beat the drop in bronze, so they will join OL there. |
One last post for the night...Otonokizaka ended up taking 3 out of 4 from Vlora, but again the loss in game 160 of the season cost them the crown. The Muse finish at 10-7 with a .588 win%, tied with Daytona Beach for 2nd in OL. Vlora end up 13-17 (.433) and finish last.
Cochise County ended up winning the AC West (86-76). Vlora (82-80) miss out. |
Krikkit Coasts to Crown in OL G324
2 Attachment(s)
The War Robots are the only team to end up north of .500 to capture the crown in OL G324. There was little drama as the last two contenders, Asylum and Annandale, took turns eliminating each other in the first series of the final month.
In PT play it was much the same, as the War Robots were the only OL team with a winning record at 90-72. The Atom Smashers won their division at 80-82. There will be no relegations. |

Diamond Final
4 Attachment(s)
Kansas is the anti-climatic winner of the diamond crown. The Rangers took the lead in April and never looked back. Cary held off Weston Pointe who went 8-2 in September to take second place.
In PT play OL will be sending four teams to the playoffs. Three division winners: Kansas, Cary and Weston Pointe and Hidden Valley as a Wildcard. Based on the seedings, if teams advance the earliest we can have an OL matchup in each league is the the sub league series. On the flip side, Hamtramck will be heading back to Gold next week, everyone else will remain pending the outcome of the playoffs. Good luck to all in the playoffs |

Silver league final standings:
Left Coast claims the Silver league crown as the Syrups stumble down the stretch and fall 3 wins short of both the OL title and a playoff spot. Port Ruppert will be the lone OL representative in the Silver league playoffs. Go Mundys! |

The Wrap Up

Nice to see silver standings, so I can get this up before I do some chores. Will check back in a few hours to see how OL is doing in the PT playoffs. It seems we could have an all OL final four in diamond. Good luck to all, and, please, follow Lady Liberty's example and protect your fellow humans.

have we had an OL team make the lone Perfect league yet this version? edit: also, reminder to check your friend's lists and lets not leave out the Ewa Beach Fighting Chickens this time (not sure how they fared in their Bronze league, so make sure if you are in Iron/Bronze/Silver that you have them in your list).... also, the newly added Blitzkrieg Boppers (either Bronze or Iron, so if you are there, add them in)... online spreadsheet has been updated |

Hymanator808 is being promoted to silver. please don't leave us out again.

Otonokizaka lose in the divisional round, but are apparently going to be promoted as they are one of the two best teams eliminated in the divisional round.
Unfortunately for Cochise County and Asheboro, this means they will stay in Iron after they lose in the divisional round too. |

Yes, Kansas Rangers made the inaugural Perfect League. They posted 74 wins. They have not been back since, nor will they this season. Side note, my $100 team (Topeka Defenders) has been there twice (the inaugural one and this week), and improved from their first showing, but still nothing great. Perfect league is no joke. |
I'm not sure why...
but, the universe screen only seems to let me check on two or three other leagues and then won't bring up any more pages. In any event, until it crapped out, I was able to determine that the Whalers are still playing, silver, iron, and bronze 200 have no OL teams left. Transylvania will be relegated in silver, and Hooterville will be promoted from bronze, as will Ewa Beach (make sure they're on your list).
Aside to OMGpuppies - Ewa Beach could still get an OL World Series patch/plaque if they win it all. I wasn't able to get B253 to come up. Good luck to all. Please post if we get a world series winner. |

Possibility that OL team could be in perfect for 2nd time
So Southpaws are headed to the D364 series, to play a good, but definitely "beatable" team "Inner Circle". OL got lucky in that there actually were not any real "whales" in the entire league this year.
If Southpaws do happen to win series (I would give them maybe a 40% chance) they would be the second OL team to go to perfect next year. Kansas was the first (and with their recent upgrades, it likely will not be long until they get back there again). Wish me luck! |

PT Playoff Update
Just checked, and now it's letting me get results from other leagues. All these results are from the World Series in the respective league. OL has a chance at a haul. Here's the latest:
In ST117, Hartford is tied 1-1 In B259, Ewa Beach is down 0-2 In G325, Krikkit is down 0-1 In D364, Carey is down 0-2 That's all we have, as far as I know. Guess we've got some work to do. |
Hartford winds Stone championship going 11-4 in the playoffs.

As far as I can tell...
Will check again in 30 minutes or so, but both Carey and Krikkit are one game away from winning. Ewa Beach fell 4-2 in B259.
|
Well, Cary will NOT be in diamond next season. They will be bottom feeders in perfect league.... but those are disadvantages from winning the Diamond Series 4 games to 3. The final game score was 11-3. To top it off, David Justice won MVP and Ron Guidry won pitcher of the year.

Great Job!
Now let's not forget anybody in 2035. Keep an eye out for Ewa Beach and Blitzkrieg. By the way, I have two teams in gold for 2035, so I'll do that. I could also do silver, though a volunteer there would help.

Krikkit takes Gold Crown
After 7 seasons of mediocrity at the Gold level, Krikkit breaks through to win the 2034 Gold.325 crown! This is their second league championship, following a Iron win in 2024.
After months of intense negotiations, 2B Johnny Evers and SS Monte Ward were finally signed to contracts at the end of August. They breathed new life into the War Robots propelling them from 1 game back in the Wild Card race to finish 4 games ahead. After winning the Wild Card game and sweeping the Division series, Krikkit sailed into the Sub-League series. After losing game 1, the War Robots won 4 straight to advance to the Gold Level Series. After another slow start, dropping the first 2 games, Krikkit came roaring back to win 4 straight and take the title! "We're going to enjoy this while we can." said GM jeffstified, "But, we'll be facing stiff competition next year and we'll have to remind ourselves that we belong there." |

Blitzkrieg did not make it into B203. Everyone else on my friends list seems to have made it. just wondering, but did you forget to friend yourself, Magus? I only ask because the Muse made it into 203.
I quick scanned the schedule in G316 and they almost screwed Jefferson Valley again. So far, they've got 11 games. I hope it doesn't change for the worse. |
Diamond Setup
1 Attachment(s)
All ten teams made it in
Four in the AC central, two in the AC west, one each in the NC east and west and two in the NC central. I will do diamond again this week. As a heads up-I may be out of commission when it comes to doing stats next week-I will keep you posted. After the 10am sim I will take a look at number of games this week. |

Nice distribution in the Silver league this season, with two teams each in the AC East and Central (even pulled in a non-OL Magus team ), and three teams in the NC West, so everyone should get a decent amount of OL games.
|
Diamond OL games at a quick glance. As always subject to slight change as it is a quick run through the schedules
Overall 274 matchups Coney Island, Highland and Weston Pointe have 78 games each and Hidden Valley clocking in with 77 Next level Kansas (49), Krikkit (48), Norwood and Palolo (47) Finally Shinbone (25) and Brigadoon (21) My Warriors played barely over .300 vs. OL teams last week-May need to do a little better to remain in diamond given almost half my schedule is OL games. |
Hope you get your fill...
because you got screwed again in gold. The Rebels drop to 7 OL games on the reset and Asylum goes down to 12, very similar to what happened last year. It bothers me so much that OOTP does such a piss poor job of scheduling, not just with friends list teams, but with their weird penchant for scheduling teams to play 10 or more times in a couple of weeks. It would seem such an easy thing to program, that I can find no reason except they don't give a crap about it. Ugghhh!!

Iron 156
Five teams in Iron this week. I work late shifts this week so my standings will be sporadic and may even contain mid-day games played, but will post finals on Sunday. Good luck to the Sidewinders, White Stallions, Road Dogs and Tortugas.

I noticed the Highland Raccoons in D357 have a live player. Probably just an oversight.

Thanks for the heads up. He needs to go ASAP. In the past, if the offending player actually appeared in an OL game (not just on the roster) those games would not be counted. |

Rebels off to Sizzling Start, but...
3 Attachment(s)
Jefferson ripped off five straight wins to open the OL G316 season, but it will avail them little as the fine print indicates. With those wins, they have only three OL games remaining. Hamtramck was nearly as hot and has shot to the front in the chase for the crown.
In PT play, the OL teams seem to have formed three distinct pairs - two division leaders, two wild card pretenders, and two flirting with relegation. It is early, however. |

Highland and Norwood share the early lead with Kansas lurking in the background.
The Raccoons do have a live Stefan Crichton on their roster. He has pitched in two games but neither against an OL team. Seems like an oversight/accident as he has no specified role in the bullpen. |
