Make sure your friends list is in good shape so that if there are other teams in rookies you catch them and maybe get to four. By the way. removing Lumberton did the trick. I guess the list didn't get any longer. |
Inspired by SPBJT

I generally do this for my teams in FHM, but I hadn't bothered in OL because you can't load your own pictures onto the servers for PT. Did you ever get one of those days, cruising the AH, but you can't talk yourself into something, even though you have enough points to make a move? It's weird, I sometimes feel like I'm cutting real people. So anyway, inspired by SPBJT previous post, I left it and did this with my PT time.

Promoted or Staying Put?
Hooterville some how made it into the playoffs for the 3rd year in a row, which was totally unexpected.
Needless to say, the Haymakers lost their wildcard game. and went home early. From what I can tell, Hooterville is not in a promotion slot however, they have a better winning percentage than the team in front, who does show being in last promotion slot. I guess I'll know in the morning whether Hooterville is still in Iron, or if we are moving on up to the Bronze level. |
Mixed results, but no ill effect.
We seemed to have screwed the pooch on all but bronze and iron. However, they got everyone in the same league and each have 10 teams. Outstanding! One of them has teams in all six divisions, the other in five. It suddenly slips my mind as to which. It was iron that had five, because now I remember checking Hooterville real quick, since they were a lonely outpost. They seemed to have a good schedule of OL games. I think the schedule is subject to change during the final setup. I seem to recall that happening last year after I had already figured out a whole league schedule one time. Cured me of that.
The point here is, we seem to have been sloppy (though I suspect the game could also be the culprit) in our attention to the friends list. It doesn't make a difference in crown chases, since only iron and bronze have enough teams for those. Just a little disconcerting. B-213 - Annandale, Coney Island, Otonokizaka, Port Ruppert, Weston Pointe, Cary, Krikkit, Transylvania, Palolo, K-Town I-210 - Midwest, Vlora, Waffletown, Asheboro, Sierra Vista, Bluffton, Hooterville, Brigadoon, Terra Incognita, Hartford G- 307 - Shinbone S-251 - Asylum, Hidden Valley (so far no games scheduled) S-259 - Kansas ST-136 - Left Coast, Daytona Beach ST-131 - Cochise County R-108 - Jefferson Valley R-91 - Fort Huachuca, Ring Road |

I will take Bronze results again this week. Yes the schedule does change, I made that error once last year. |
I'll take care of iron, then.
Thanks, as always, for pitching in. I've got the iron covered. Good luck to everyone this week.

Love it!

I noticed in Iron .210 that besides having 10 OL teams, there are also 6 BFF teams.
I'm not sure who or what that group is however, they are not set up like the OL teams. |
HOU Live Mission
Quote:
Got inspired to do the HOU Live mission for the 97 Bagwell card. So far I have 17 cards purchased for 2978PP which is a total of 227PP below 7 Day avg. I got 9 Cards left to get for @7,353PP 7DA, which would total 10,331PP. Right now the 97 Bagwell card is going for 19000 AVG. He will replace 77 Allen Craig, which is still doing very well at the last level, but Bagwell paired with Kiner and the rest of my power will set me up well going forward. |

What does BFF stand for? |
All this mission talk got me going. I bought some of the mission rewards for PP like the Longoria and Rosen pretty early. PP has been hard to come by lately so I figured I would go the mission route to get some desirable cards. l completed the Diamondbacks mission pretty easily. Not sure the exact price but I don't believe it was more than 5 or 6K.
The Asheboro Road Dogs are glad to announce the addition of (95) Randy Johnson to the roster. |
I see my Underdogs BFF are in Iron with a bunch of you guys this week, will check in :)
(Edit: they're my 2nd focus team and it probably shows, but we'll give it a go :p I would add my main team to OL but I like Live players sometimes. Anyway, Good Luck all! ) |

The original idea for BFF was to set up a single 30 team friends list and never have to touch it again, hence "BFF": best friends forever no matter what level we're at. In PT21 that wasn't really relevant since we have like 50 people, but the name stays. BFF also came along with a few other restrictions, the most important being F2P and a ban on selling packed gold+ nonlives as a measure to really make sure any awesome BFF team was made using blood, sweat, and tears (and a hefty dose of live collections). |
The Start of the Iron .210 Season 2025
The start of the Iron .210 2025 season has started out with a bang.
Long time diamond foes, starting back from early days of PT20 kicked off the start of their season with the Haymakers traveling into the very hostile confines, which the Vlora White Stallions call home, The Corral. Even though both club names have changed, the history between these two storied franchises is very rich. The old "Mudville Muffins", now the Hooterville Haymakers rolled in to The Corral to battle The old "Stephensville Bears", now the Vlora White Stallions. Ed Walsh from Hooterville was given the honor of the starting pitching role. Walsh was a 19 game winner (19-7), one year ago. On the mound for the Stallions was Eddie Plank, who is trying to rebound off of a dismal 2024 campaign where he finished with a 9-19 record. The Haymakers were able to tie things up at 7, in the bottom of the 9th however, the baseball gods were on Vlora's side as C Ryan Doumit got to play Walk-Off-Hero, by hitting a run-scoring single, in the bottom of the 9th, setting off a celebration like no other! Both teams are scheduled to battle it out tomorrow. Will Hooterville be able to rebound and secure their first win of the season, or will Vlora flex their muscle again? Tune in again to find out! -30- |
Haven't posted much in a while, and had my teams on autopilot for a little while, but the Kaiju pulled a Perfect Mookie Betts and used the resulting PP to finish off some collections, bottom fish as many bronzes for other collections as I could and still had enough to pick up a couple Diamonds, so hoping that they will be a lot more competitive this season!
Now to figure out how to help the Boomerangs and the Labrats! |
Put a bunch of time into Palolo finishing the live collections. Hopefully they are no longer pushovers.

OL league signup.
I would like to put my hat in the ring to be in this league.
My username on the forum is BigHurtt. |
I had the same record two years in a row in Silver: 76-86. But, this time I got promoted...go figure. So, I'm stuck in Gold without any other OL teams.
