Good luck in the playoffs for those who made it.... bring home a title for OL!
I'm heading over to v20 as that Waffletown squad made the Perfect tier post season (Aina Haina is in the other bracket, so if we're lucky it'll be an all-OL Perfect tier finals :D) |

Sierra Vista wins OL Iron227. Three of the four OL teams won their division and head to the playoffs, while Daytona Beach just missed the playoffs and will return to Iron next season.

Do we not have any reporting or standings from Diamond this week? I can pull them together right now if need be.
And here it is... Kansas is the sole OL team making the playoffs, and if they win, they would be promoted to Perfect. Weston Pointe, Norwood, and Brigadoon are all being relegated to gold. |

The Wrap Up

I don't think I've done a baseball card yet. Bonus points for knowing the card type and the stadium in the background. We have a decent number of OL playoff teams, and at least a couple of shots at an OL world series. Good luck to all.

Blitzkrieg were swept aside in the divisional round by a WC2. No surprise here, since all my teams love to not show up when it matters.

Thanks, edster007! Coney Island kindly destroyed Krikkit in the division series to prevent them from a week of humiliation at diamond level.

Three OL WS champs in one season... nice!
In news from a version-gone-by, Waffletown has advanced to the v20 Perfect league World Series (Aina Haina lost in their LDS).... first game in 5 minutes. |

Have not been able to get results for I227. My universe tab shows the playoffs haven't started yet, which can't be right. So, could be four! |
Be alert for new names.

Please, if you are iron (maybe even bronze) or below friend the teams on the clip below. New guys, start at the levels closest to you. but fill up your list. Let's try and get everyone this week. Congrats to all this week. Good job! I'll check once more later for I227 PT playoffs, but this is it for the week. Thanks everyone.
By the way, all of my teams are in gold next week, so I'll take that. It would be nice to have an occasional update for every league. We almost had no diamond this week. |

Hooterville Wins It All !!!
Hooterville wins first ever PT21 Title
After scrapping through the majority of a .500 season, Hooterville found themselves in a dead heat race for the divisional title. Knowing that they would either have to win their division or go home, as their record was not good enough to claim a wildcard spot, they got their act together and somehow managed to with their division by only 4 games, while also finishing the regular season 22 games over .500. After enjoying a 1st round bye, Hooterville got hotter than a firecracker on fourth of July and easily won their Divisional Series 4 games to 1 and swept their opponent in the Sub-League Series 4 games to 0. The red hot Haymakers came into the Bronze Level Series facing the West Bend Suns, a team that they had not played against all season and they never looked back. Hooterville easily wins it's first ever crown. The next big test for Hooterville will be to see if they can hang with the Big Boys in the Silver League, where the Haymakers have a very bad past track record. Home season tickets for the 2029 season are selling fast. Get yours while you still can! ;) http://www.theblitz.org/uploads/files/a27/5f1ea2.jpg |

I will use one for sure. I have to read up in the manual to get it in the right folder or whatever, but will.
The friends league "sorting" didn't work for me last time, so I want to make sure I've set these correctly. |

For the logos, just copy them to your desktop or whatever folder you want, then go to customize team. and after it finishes loading the stock logos, choose to load your own. Then load it in, and hit submit team, and you should be good to go. The Lumberton team is on hiatus from OL, but I don't think it matters for now since you'll have teams not in your level for awhile. |

Diamond and Bronze
2 Attachment(s)
Here are the setups, 3 of the 5 in Diamond are in the same division. In Bronze I see a team-Old Town Black Bears-OL that arent on the spreadsheet (or at least as of last night when I updated my Friends). I will handle Diamond and if nobody wants to do Bronze I will do it every couple of days.
Neither of my teams, while sitting on some points have made any changes as the AH needs to stabilize a bit. |

looks like everyone from Bronze to Diamond made it in the right league.... Iron missed the Yardgoats, and the two Stone league teams are in different leagues, so double check your friend's lists and make sure it's all set right. Silver league: only 5 teams this season, with Waffletown, Hartford and Blitzkrieg all in the AC West, while Norwood and Hooterville are isolated in separate divisions in the NC (so one/both might not get enough games for the 10 minimum depending on inter-league play) |
Here's Gold

As usual OOTP does it's usual lopsided job of setting the teams, with 9 of 12 in the AC. A quick check of the the three lone wolves shows a healthy slate of league games, however. Seems wed didn't overlook anyone, but I can't see anything below bronze, so here's hoping that iron and below got into the league. Good luck this week. My three teams also made no changes. Got a little busy this weekend and didn't get to open any tourney packs.

Here's a question for you baseball geniuses. Brigadoon has the following players in the infield:
* 100 OVR Cal Ripken, 1B * 98 OVR Reese, 2B [locked] * 100 OVR Wagner, SS * 100 OVR Appling, 3B I completed some missions, but the Ripken was a pack pull. The question is this: is there a better use of resources than having Ripken at 1st? I know the card sells for > 100k, and I sort of think I could sell it and get a different card that would be about as good a hitter (but worse on defense, but who cares!). Like the 97 OVR Frank Thomas or the 99 Cabrera. Heck, or I could save up and get the 96 Anson, which everyone and his brother loves. The point is ,I'm not sure I'm 100% sold that having Ripken there is good. On the other hand - it's a pretty freaking good card and there's a chance that I'll end up with performance that's as only as good or worse when I'm done. Plus it's not clear to me that a team that wants to improve should sell a card like that! So assuming you could net 110k for the card... if you guys were in this situation would you sell? I have some PP banked but not a ton, if that matters. Selling a different guy or standing pat are also valid answers! Thanks for any input. |

If he's producing, I'd wait a little while to see if the AH settles down at all. It can't stay this way forever, can it? What's that you say? Oh...it could get worse. |

Annandale thanks Ring Road for 3800 PP. Our bright days are few and far between so it is appreciated for real and not in a mean way. :D

No crown to be had in Iron, as it's just Otonokizaka and Daytona Beach. They will play 4 times this season as they are in opposite conferences.

The Keepers had the highest percentage, but the Southpaws made the biggest strides, posting a dozen wins in the first month. Port Ruppert remained on the sidelines, but expect a spirited chase for the crown. My quick check of the schedules indicated that each team has at least 20 OL games.

Silver league update:
Hartford and Waffletown jump out to solid starts for the first month. Norwood will be the odd man out in this seasons schedule with just 7 games against Hooterville. |
I hate it when my teams are in the same division!
Interesting perspective on the potential sale of Ripken. I’m thinking about it! As for Bedford Falls, they won their third league series in a row but got promoted into a buzz saw of a division where one of the teams has a rotation full of 100s. So I do not think we will be seeing a 4-peat... |

As long as we're getting bombed, it's good that it benefits another OL team. And don't worry about being mean...I love some quality trash talk :D |
