Game #52 – May 26 – Guardians @ Angels
Austin Hays LF Xavier Edwards 3B Mike Trout DH Nolan Schanuel 1B Logan O'Hoppe C Zach Neto SS Connor Joe RF Michael Stefanic 2B Cristian PacheCF Christopher Sanchez P Andres Giminez hit a 1st inning HR to give Cleveland the lead. Ramon Laureano homered in the 4th to make it 2-0. Meanwhile, the Angels did not get their 1st hit until Edwards singled with 1 out in the bottom of the inning. Sanchez pitched pretty well, but Kyle Manzardo hit a 2 run bomb in the 6th to give Cleveland a 4-0 lead. The Angels finally got on the board when Pache drew a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the 8th. Hays hit into a double play to end any further threat. Final Score: Cleveland 5, Los Angeles 1 WP: X. Game #53 – May 28 – Yankees @ Angels
Austin Hays LF Mike Trout DH Jordan Westburg 3B Nolan Schanuel 1B Logan O'Hoppe C Xavier Edwards SS Connor Joe RF Michael Stefanic 2B Cristian Pache CF Tyler Anderson P The Angels scored in the top of the 1st when Hays led off with a single, Trout doubled, and Hays scored on a Westburg groundout. Schanuel drove a 2nd run with an RBI groundout to 2B. The Yankees got on the board with an Anthony Volpe’s RBI single in the 4th. Stefanic hit his 1st major league HR in the bottom of the 5th. Cristian Pache followed with his 6th HR of the season (2nd as an Angel). Stefanic hit an RBI single in the 6th. Anderson was outstanding, allowing 1 run in 4 hits over 7 innings. He struck out 8 and walked 1. Aaron Judge hit a bomb off Nick Mears to lead off the 9th to make it 5-2. Final Score: Los Angeles 5, New York 2 WP: T. Anderson (5-3) LP: C. Anthony Volpe homered in the 3rd. The Halos got on the board in the bottom of the inning. Hays was hit by a pitch. Trout walked. Westburg doubled into the LF corner to make it a 2-1 game. The Angels threatened for more, but Marcus Stroman struck out the next 3 hitters Grisham’s 2nd HR of the game, a 2 run shot down the RF line in the top of the 4th made it 4-1. Pache robbed Anthony Rizzo of a HR in the 6th. Jose Trevino's 3 run HR off Robert Stephenson in the 9th pit the game out of reach. Final Score: New York 7, Los Angeles 2 WP: M. Stroman (6-2) LP: B. Bello (1-5) Record: 22-33 |
