1999 NHL Conference Finals
The East Final is as expected, with the top two seeds battling (New York Rangers, 131-31), vs. New York Islanders (139-23). But the Western Conference has a surprising title matchup, with the #6 and #5 seeds duking it out (Anaheim Ducks, 93-69, vs. Chicago Blackhawks (95-67). Whomever wins the East will be a heavy favorite in the Stanley Cup Final. Don't be fooled by Anaheim though. They have experience and previous playoff success, winning the 1996 Stanley Cup. Chicago is an unexpected suprise, however. |
