Absolutely. I don't know if I want to label them with start and end dates (1927-1936 for example). If I decide to add a new one in between, I would have to rename the other one as well. For that reason, I like to use only the first year of that version. Then I can add any others without affecting the earlier version.

The reason I put both dates is because if I, or others, play a historical season, it is easier to pick the correct park. However, I understand why you don't necessarily want to do that, especially after I had to re-do the season for Sportsman.

Is there one file to download that has all of your historical stadiums so to not have to download one at a time

not currently. The files sizes are arounf 20MB each so zipping them all up would be very big and not practical

Not to mention trying to keep the big file updated with new parks that you do!

Yankee Stadium

1923

1928

These look very similar. Main difference is that the diamond was moved up in 1928 making the distance of the fences different by a good amount

On to Fenway. Saved the best until last? ;)

I have a question. Was the flag pole really on the playing field behind the warning track. I can't find a picture like that. The one I did find was an old black and white photo which shows the flag pole behind the outfield wall. There was no date on the photo but the warning track looked the same.

According to the diagram it was

Okay. That is kind of weird and dangerous, I would think.

silvam14 03-26-2017 10:50 AM

It definitely was in play in 1952 I think

You can find photos better than I can!

Case dismissed!

Every good Yankee fan will tell you flag pole was on the field, as were the 3 monuments.

I think the flag pole was in play right up until the final game of the 1973 season. I know the monuments definitely were.

This photo I have is dated 1923-1935. Don't remember where I found it.
One thing, the Yankees were the 1st team with numbers in 1929. By 1932 all teams had numbers. You can see the player by home plate has a number on his back. So, this is at least 1929. The pole in center is on the warning track. No monuments, yet, obviously.

Looks like a picture closer to 1952. I did that park. You can see the monuments near the base of the flag pole

It is interesting how the infield dirt in that black and white photo sort of mimics the dirt in the OOTP parks. Interesting to me at least!

It's post 1946 at least...notice the "top hat" logo on the score board. 1st year was 1946.
