IRON update
 

Ft. Huachuca is dominating OL I204 play, currently 12 games over .500 and cruising towards a title...

UNLESS, Asheboro, currently flirting with relegation in non-OL play, can turn things around and overtake the Buffalo Soldiers. Ft. Huachuca has only 4 OL games left, if I see it correctly, while the Road Dogs have quite a few still remaining.

The Buffalo Soldiers are the only OL team currently headed to the playoffs, while Daytona Beach is on the path to Stone.

Silver
 

As the calendar is about to move to September we have new leader in the OL standings, El Dorado. The Aztecs posted a 7-3 record yesterday to take a one game lead on Shangri-La. El Dorado has 3 games remaining while Shangri-La has 14.

The path to the crown:

If El Dorado sweeps Death Valley, Shangri-La would need to post a 12-2 record to take the title. Shangri-La would have to go 10-4 if El Dorado takes 2 of 3

Brooklyn with a sweep of Ewa Beach in their final 3 OL games is the only other team in contention. If El Dorado loses 2 of 3 and Shangri-La posts a record of 8-6 or less Brooklyn would take the crown.

If El Dorado gets swept Shangri-La wins the crown with by going at least 8-6 unless Brooklyn gets the above mentioned sweep. In that case Shangri-La needs 10 wins.

PT Standings below. Both leagues have quite the WC races going on. El Dorado can challenge for the division in the AC while Ewa Beach leads its division in the NC. Shangri-La while battling to win a crown will be battling to get out of the relegation zone along with Death Valley.

The Rock Piles magic number is down to one, with only Terra Incognita having the slightest chance to take advantage in the unlikely event of a K-Town collapse.



In PT play, OL teams continue to prosper, with six of the seven OL teams positioned for post season play.

Gold league update:

Palolo and Norwood are neck-and-neck as we head down the final stretch. Waffletown lurks in third place but still has 17 OL games remaining in August, so stranger things have happened.


Overall, Cary and Palolo hold down division leads, while Norwood, Waffletown and K-Town currently hold wild card positions.

Iron
 

Congratulations to Ft. Huachuca on another OL title. The Buffalo Soldiers have already clinched the I204 crown. Daytona Beach was the only OL team able to post a winning record against the champs, who are currently the only OL with a chance of making the playoffs.

I translate it as:

-8th or later = will come in to start the 8th inning of a game

-8th+ or later = will come in during the 8th inning, but only as a replacement for the pitcher who began on the mound in the 8th.

Silver
 

El Dorado wins the Silver Crown. Shangri-La needed to split their last 4 games with Jefferson Valley to take the top spot. They won the first one but dropped the final three.

In PT play Jefferson Valley as a wildcard along with division winners Ciudad Trujillo and El Dorado will represent OL from the AC while Ewa Beach won the NC East.

Death Valley will be relegated.

K-Town Finishes the Job in OL B310
 

Although it was a bit anticlimactic, the Rock Piles grabbed the hardware for 2047, going nearly wire-to-wire for the crown.



In PT play, OL is well represented, although Transylvania faded in the stretch after contending for most of the season. Cochise County will be relegated.

Here's a final look at OL204. No one will represent OL in the playoffs, while Daytona and rebuilding Vlora will be relegated.

Gold league final standings:

Palolo takes care of business down the stretch and claims the OL crown.



Overall, four OL teams made the Gold tier post season, with Palolo claiming the NC Central division title; and Cary taking the AC East division title. Norwood will face off against Waffletown in the AC wild card match.

I believe there were enough teams in diamond for an OL race, even though one team was left off. Hopefully someone will post the standings.

Gold playoff update:


Waffletown bullpen chokes and coughs up 5 runs in the 7th/8th innings to lose the wild card game 5-2 to Norwood.


Getting into my time machine to head back to v20, where that Waffletown has won 100+ games at Perfect tier for the 12th straight season and is looking for their 3rd Perfect tier championship.

A solid 87 win season ends with a one and done, as the Cats lose their wild card game 5-3. Looks like we are stuck in rookie for another year. Bah!

My last Silver update. Ciudad Trujillo is the only OL team left in the playoffs. They are about to start the sub-league series and along with Ewa Beach will be promoted to Gold next week. As mentioned in the final standings Death Valley will be heading to bronze.

Bevo Mill also got swept in the finals in B310, so there were no post season honors this year. Bevo Mill, Ring Road and Terra Incognita head up to silver, while Cochise County goes down to iron.


There was no report from diamond, but it looks like a couple, at least are going down to gold. Make sure to check your Friends List and friend those above and below you for next week. Make sure to submit.

I wasn’t able to hook up with the rest of the OL in Diamond, but I’ll happily represent in the PL next season!

I'm very new to this, but at the bottom of the barrel in Stone, ST175, neither the Chicago Clubbers, or the Iron Maiden Wasted Years will be moving anywhere, but staying put. Since they were in separate leagues, neither one of them faced each other in the regular season as far as I can tell.

Jefferson Valley got left out. Not sure why. Each of my teams ended up in silver and all have edster friended. Anyway, I'll do silver.

Just went to check the Silver alignment for this week only to find it was my turn to be left out in the cold. Jefferson Valley has been cast off on their own. Seems like everyone else is in S276 and the Rebels are in S277.

We had three teams left out in Silver last week, so this is an improvement-I guess...

High Desert was also in the playoffs.
New Hampshire is a PL first timer like me.
Cleveland was in PL for a season 15 seasons ago.

What happens to Live cards
 

What happens with the live cards you have, let's say 2020 Live cards, after the season is over and they are no longer live? Do they become 'regular' cards and, if so, what stats do they have or do they just disappear?

Live cards won't change anymore, so their ratings/etc will remain static from here on out.

So it was nice that this guy became "perfect" in the last refresh :D

The Tabby Cats are mad they missed promotion and are roaring out of the gate at a 14-6 clip. Will they ever make it into an OL race before everyone but me moves to OOTP 22? Stay tuned, LOL!

Bevo Mill got off to a quick start as every team got into the action on the first day of sims. My perusal of the schedules showed that every team will get at least 20 or so games, so hopefully this will mean a wide and spirited chase for the crown.
