Good luck to everyone this week! |
Report from OL teams in D358.
No, we didn't have an OL championship in D358, but thought I would give an "end-of-season" update, anyway.
There were three OL teams in D358, and these were their records against other OL teams: Cary Southpaws-OL: 0-0 Kansas Rangers-OL: 13-6 Weston Pointe Caspers-OL: 6-13 So there wasn't an OL championship, but there should be next season, with the two gold teams moving up and none of the current OL teams moving down. The real surprise is that the OL contingent actually held up decently against the whales. In the AL central, Cary Southpaws and Milwaukee Guilt Trip tied with identical 99-63 records. They met in a single deciding game, with the winner guaranteed to have home team advantage at least until the Championship series, and the loser hosting the wild card game. The Southpaws lost a close one that Milwaukee won with a rally in the top of the ninth inning, and so Southpaws went to the wild card game, which they won. In the next round, the Southpaws and Milwaukee went to a deciding fifth game, which unfortunately Milwaukee won, and they ended up losing in the league championship series. Over in the NL, the Kansas Rangers also did quite well, ending with a 92-70 record, good for the second wild card position. Unfortunately, they lost in the wild card game. Even the Caspers did decently, considering it was their first time in Diamond league, ending with a 79-83 record. Next season should be fun in diamond! [Note: I actually thought I had posted this last evening, then I saw that it was just preview... I know now that only three teams made it in to same league. ] |
Looking at the teams in D351, Caspers have it a whole lot easier than the Southpaws this season. Southpaws are in a division (NC West) with three bona fide whales and one team that looks about equal to Southpaws, so it is very doubtful they will repeat last season's result this season.
The Caspers and the Shinbone Stars are in the AC and both have only one whale in their respective divisions. Good luck, all! |
Bronze .213 with another nice mix of OL & BFF, good luck all! :)

It's much better if you post it it. If I clip it from the game, it often resizes a little fuzzy. See Sierra Vista's this past week. Of course, it may not be as noticeable as I think. I do sharpen it as much as I can. If you'd like, I'll re-do this week's. By the way the last patch, version 3.54, seems to have corrected the problem. My graphics have been holding the past couple of days. |

Waffletown Grabs Early Lead in OL S263

The Syrups, followed closely by Port Ruppert broke on top in a rather slow OL schedule. You have to love the irony of the hapless Asylum Keepers having the best winning percentage, even if for just one week. The team, stuck in an endless swirl of mediocrity has won perhaps 30% of it OL games in six silver seasons. Wouldn't it be a nice reward for their loyal fan base to come out on top in a season where they will be one game short of qualifying? Might drive 'em crazy.

G309 Standings

Norwood takes a slim lead in the Gold OL Standings but there's miles to go.
I reviewed my schedules this morning and it appears to me Brigadoon will only play 7 OL games (all vs Annandale) so they won't be eligible for the crown (not that I was worried about that!). Both of my teams are getting a reality check in gold this week. |

Cochise County, Hartford, and Otonokizaka (I only had to look twice to spell it this time) have the fortune* of sharing space in the AC East this season, which means there will be many OL meetings between them.
Meanwhile, Ring Road is in the AC West, so their OL schedule is condensed to 14 games in June and another batch in September. Unlucky Ft. Huachuca doesn't appear to have any OL games this season as a member of the NC West. |

The Rebels jump into the lead. Still a long way to go.

G309 Update

Everyone is taking turns beating everyone else up, so it's a big ball of teams right now in first. Brigadoon did well vs Annandale but as mentioned before, they only play 7 OL games so they cannot win the crown.

Waffletown continues lead in OLS263 as the schedule was again fairly light. It worried me a bit , so I did a quick check, and only Asylum, with 6 games left, will be short. My quick count(could be off a bit) reveals the following remaining games:
Hooterville - 9 Waffletown - 13 Port Ruppert - 16 Terra Incognita - 19 Transylvania - 23 In PT, Asylum and Waffletown are division leaders on on opposite sides of the league, Transylvania leads the NC wild card, with Port Ruppert and Terra Incognita 4 and 4-1/2 games back, respectively. Hooterville is 3 games out of the AC wild card. |

Early on, the Muse still thinking about a title. Lots of games ahead today...

For those who keep track of the standings daily, I know you use a spreadsheet but what is your process, in case I want to jump in and help occasionally? Do you have to go thru each team to figure out their W-L record? Enlighten me please :)

Congrats! Looking on my phone. Does it show a lack of confidence that I clicked on the image and fully expected to see you were playing Coney Island when the box score opened? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
