Cary Opens Wide Lead in OL G358
4 Attachment(s)
The Southpaws have separated themselves from the tightly packed group of seven chasers trying to keep streaking top dog in sight.

The Warriors sold off all but one of their remaining cards and hit pay dirt selling Johnny Damon 99K because he is part of a FOTF mission. With the other 3 diamonds I sold I am just short of 160K. It will be time to hit the AH Sunday and find a way to generate a little more offense. |
K-Town edges in front in OL B231
2 Attachment(s)
K-Town has pushed into the lead by a slim margin over a surging Cochise County. The Sidewinders used a 4-game sweep of Vlora to slither into second place. The division rivals meet six more times this season.
Overall, the best team in all the land is Hooterville, currently 22 games over .500 and atop the AC Central. They are the only OL team in playoff contention. On the other end, it has been anything but Shangri-La for the Dragons, who carry the league's worst overall record and most certainly will be relegated at season's end. (Shangri-La appears to be unmanaged at the moment, with no LF in the lineup.) |
Guess who just pulled a perfect Yaz out of a pack?
ME! Finally got a perfect that isn't a 2020 card! |

Cary Holds Slimmest of Leads in OL G358
4 Attachment(s)
The Southpaws own the top spot by .001, thanks in large part to their 3-0 record against second place Waffletown.
|
Vlora vaults to the top of OL B231
2 Attachment(s)
Vlora jumped to the top of the standings with a solid month of play. Only a 3-game sweep at the hands of Ft. Huachuca prevented the White Stallions from distancing themselves from second place K-Town.
Hooterville remains the only OL team in a playoff spot, though Cochise County has closed to within two games of the NC West lead. |
Waffletown Now Ahead in OL G358
4 Attachment(s)
The Syrups raced to the lead in what has become a three-way race with Brooklyn and Cary. Those further off the pace would need a near flawless final month to keep their dim hopes alive.

Terra Incognita put a small slice of daylight between themselves and their two main challenger - Brooklyn and Asylum.

K-Town builds a lead in B231
4 Attachment(s)
K-Town holds a 4-game lead over second place Vlora, but there is a lot of action still remaining in OL B231. The club with the best chance of overtaking the Rock Piles might also be one of the most overlooked, as it currently sits mid-pack. That's the team from Hooterville. If the Haymakers can manage to sweep their 3-game set with Ft. Huachuca, they would take a commanding percentage points lead. The two teams have not met yet this season, but the Haymakers are the AC's best team, while the Buffalo Soldiers sit last in the NC Central.
K-Town holds a unique position -- leading the OL; 3 games out of a relegation spot; 1 game from leading their division. |
Rustlers Hold On to Win OL S317
4 Attachment(s)
Terra Incognita posted a solid 6-4 record in the final month to hold off Brooklyn and Asylum, which each played .500 ball down the stretch. In fact, that allowed a Death Valley mini-streak to gain the Devils a third place finish.
The PT playoff tree and relegation standings are attached. |

With two separate streaks of six and seven games, Cary posted a 14-3 record in the final month to to vault to the top of OL gold. While Brooklyn went 5-2, Waffletown faded down the stretch, with a 2-4 record to fall to third.
The PT playoff tree and relegation table are attached. |

Vlora captures OL B231 Flag

Vlora's White Stallions galloped to a title in OL B231, overcoming close challengers Cochise County and K-Town.
Hooterville will be the only team representing OL in the playoffs. Vlora lost game 164! to lose out on the last NC playoff spot. Meanwhile, as noted elsewhere, Ring Road, Shangri-La, and Ft. Huachuca will return to Iron. |

up-n-down season in Waffletown, so not too surprising they folded down the stretch.... good luck to all in the playoffs... heading back in time again to watch V20 Syrups (120-42 season) for another run at a 3rd Perfect tier title |

Congratulations to the Palolo Puppies, winners of the OL Diamond League this season!
Palolo is joined by Kansas and Laramie in the PT playoffs ... good luck to all! Shinbone is unfortunately being relegated. EDIT: Sorry ... Hidden Valley was actually 9-9 for a .500 record. I forgot to put in their 2 wins vs. Shinbone. Everything else is correct |

usual end of season reminder... check those friend's lists and make sure teams moving into your tier are checked off... if you're in Diamond, be sure to add the Flatbush Red Hooks this time (joined late in the evening last Sunday, so missed the league this week)... edit: Flatbush moving to Gold, so update as needed there (Waffletown's friends list checked and updated for Gold accordingly) |

If I have to reinstall the game tonight to get the Iron standings for you guys, I will. Hopefully someone will do it before I do.

Second place is first loser.
Two second-place finishes. Chasing that OL title feeling again, yet unsatisfied this week. Congrats to the winners.

Reminder
As noted above, please add 333forjg (relegated to Gold) to your lists this week please. Thanks!

Quick Update
I might not be able to check in for a couple of hours or more, so I figured I'd do a quick perusal of PT. The results thereof:
St222- Chicago Clubbers are eliminated, but should be promoted based on their record. Those in Iron, please be sure to add them. I263 - Illawarra Flame are still alive and going up to bronze, so please add them. I284 - All OL teams eliminated, but it looks like Otonokizaka will be going up to bronze, based on their record. B231 - Hooterville still alive and will be going up to silver. S256 - Hartford still alive and will be going up to gold. S317 - All OL teams eliminated, but Brooklyn will be going up to gold, based on their record. G358 - Highland still alive and will going up to diamond. D362 - No new playoff results have been posted to the site available from the universe tab. Still waiting on Iron standings. Please pay heed to what Jason wrote and update your friends list. And submit. |
Hooterville hanging in there
Hooterville is representing OL in the B231 Bronze Level Series. Tied 1-1 in the series, Hooterville just got no-hit by Mike Soroka and the Concord Diablos, to fall behind in the series. Soroka was one walk away from a perfect game, using 7 strikeouts and 95 pitches to subdue the Haymakers.

Classic 1-3 comeback for Haymakers
1 Attachment(s)
Hooterville came back from the classic 3-1 deficit to win the Bronze League Series. After getting no-hit in Game 3, the Haymakers dropped an 18-inning marathon to go down 3-1. Hooterville coughed up the lead twice in extras in that one. Hooterville advances to Silver.
|
As the only OL team in Iron 263, I managed a 112-50 record this season and finished as a World Series runner up, losing in 6 games.
Heading to Bronze next week, anyone else in Bronze please add ProfScoobs. |
I will have final results for I284 at some point tonight, having a lot of trouble with the math and getting everything added properly.
All the data, however, points to Sierra Vista winning the crown. EDIT: My data is completely wrong. I am retracting my projection of Sierra Vista winning the crown. Full standings up momentarily in the next post. |

As promised, Iron 284 results. Imagine my surprise when I finally did the math properly and Asheboro wound up the winner.
Crown'em, Kuppo.:p CORRECTION: Cat Town's record in OL play should be 21-18, not 23-18. I did a derp. |

Hooterville Best in PT Bronze
1 Attachment(s)
Congratulations! It seems the Haymakers are the only OL team to take PT honors this week.
By the way, I can't find anything for diamond. The universe tab still has no playoff results at all. As far as I can tell, Laramie, Palolo, and Kansas made the playoffs. Perhaps someone from diamond can update. |
The Wrap Up
1 Attachment(s)
Went with Dodger Stadium to salute the MLB champs. Congrats on a good week, but let's be diligent and not miss anyone this week.
|
Jefferson Valley and Coney Island have updated their friends list.
The Warriors have revamped their lineup. After selling the Damon card earlier in the week I realized I had completed a mission and picked up two diamond packs that yielded a diamond Aaron and Billy Hamilton. I used the points from those three plus selling off anyone who got moved to the reserve roster and invested them in FOTF cards. Not a big fan of the FOTF cards but hard to resist the prices and I am coming near the end of my cycle playing PT. Good luck to all this week. |

Attached are gold and silver lineups. Looking at my friends list, it seems that Ewa Beach got missed in bronze. Everything else seemed right.
