Harry Davis 1932
Here is an alternate image of Harry Davis with the Detroit Tigers, to replace the grotesquely distorted submission posted above. In addition I attach an image of the same player with the 37 Browns.

that uni. I am learning little at a time on card making. Just haven't figured out how to switch or add the uni's. I thank and appreciate very much. Thank you. |

Gene Ammann

Here are 2 separate efforts at providing a Pilots image for former Florida State Seminoles phenom Gene Amman. For what it's worth, I don't mind doing custom jobs for those "What if?" scenarios. It's challenging to be sure as finding suitable images to combine can be frustrating. Hopefully, you can use one of these for your custom cards. Hopefully all the hullabaloo hasn't discouraged your creativity and interest.

I don't know what program you're using but I still recommend GIMP. There are two tools in GIMP (which should also be in other editing software, but may not be) that you will use to death. Eraser and Clone. Image 1: Using the eraser, I've isolated the head and neck of Mr. Coggins. Image 2: I selected an image of Tommy Harper and, using the "open as layers" edit, laid the Coggins head over Harper. Image 3: I also had to shrink the Coggins head (already shrunk in image 2) as it was larger than the head on Harper's body. But you have to be sure to preserve the "aspect ratio" before shrinking. In GIMP, as shown in image 3, you do this by clicking on the chain links next to the width and height numbers. The chain links should be touching. In this image, the aspect ratio is NOT being preserved. Image 4: As you can see in image 2, the neck area pretty much took care of itself. However, bits of Tommy are still peaking out on the right. Again, the most difficult thing to "fix" is anything having to do with skin tone. So problems with the neck area of the uni or bits of Tommy to the right...that's child's play using the clone (or stamp) tool. Use a fuzzy, rather than a solid, clone. Pick up a bit of the nearby color and clone/stamp it in to cover up the bits of Tommy. I've done the bottom part of the face, here, with the upper part still to be done. (NOTE: "Flatten image" before embarking on the clone clean-up.) Image 5: Like those TV cooking shows, we have a Coggins over Harper pre-prepared. With the usual caveat of "not my best work" (did this one some 5 years ago or more), voila. This is not intended as a fulfillment of your request, but you can use my image if you want to. |
