10 K Game
1 Attachment(s)
In a final review of the Rustlers transactions, I saw a big day, as they pounded out a 24-1 win over a non-OL team. Included was a 9,000 point haul for five homers in an inning. Nap Lajoie hit two!

Gold league final standings:
In a perfect example of "every game counts", it was a wild finish for the OL crown as Cary, Kansas and Waffletown all fought for the top spot. When the dust settled, Kansas emerged as the top team in OL, .005 ahead of Waffletown. Overall, a solid season for OL at the Gold tier, claiming 5 of the 6 division crowns, and one wild card. In the AC - Kansas claimed the top seed with an impressive 116-46 season. They will await the wild-card winner between Weston Pointe and Varna. Waffletown (104-58) will travel to face off against the Blue Lightning (105-57) In the NC - Highland claimed the top seed and second overall in the league (112-50) and will awai the wild card winner between Missouri and Millani. In an all-OL LDS, Cary (105-57) will travel to face-off against Shinbone (106-56) in their LDS matchup For relegations, Hooterville and Port Ruppert will drop back down to Silver next season |

Asylum Holds on in OL B273

I have some cooking to do, and will not be checking in for a few hours, so I decided to throw this together so I could post the 2059 graphics. I will check back later to see how we did in the PT playoffs.
The Laramie Mustangs finished above .500 in perfect, but still ended up in the final relegation spot, so they'll be back in diamond, which means, at this point, they'll keep the Palolo Puppies company. The Norwood Diamonders and the Hidden Valley Bombers both head back to gold. In iron 181, the Chicago Clubbers made the playoffs, while the Asheboro Road Dogs, in iron 158 will be headed back to stone. |

Sorry to hear you're having difficulty. I have posted some screen shots of your team's stats so you can get a better picture of how you got to where you were. Unfortunately, you were in a division with a 140-win juggernaut. Let me know if there's anything else I can capture, but be aware that I'll be off-line and not playing the game until 5 or so. By the way, make sure you double check that you withdrew at least one license. I think I had a problem some years back with another version. They'll quickly reset your counter if you write them. |

Gold playoff update:
Kansas, Highland and Shinbone all advance to the LCS and promotion to Diamond next year.... Waffletown failed to make it an all-OL LCS as they went down 3 games to 1 (two close 4-3 losses in games 3 and 4... can't say I'm upset about not getting promoted though :p) |

It's indeed a rare thing to see.... Top seed in the AC versus the top seed in the NC for the World Series and an all-OL matchup. Good luck to both and hope it's a good series! |

Bronze Playoff Update:
Playoffs dominated by 8 OL teams. Asylum and Death Valley about to go at it in the Finals. |
Two OL World Series End in Routs
We had two OL World Series, but both were one-sided affairs. In G336, the Kansas Rangers bounced the Highland Raccoons 4 to 1. The Death Valley Devils dominated the Asylum Keepers in a sweep. Congrats to all on a good season. I have listed the line-ups for each level below. Please check for your team and make sure to fill up your friends list with those above and below. These will be the league assignments for 2060, so the teams may not match their level on the spreadsheet for this year. There should be four crowns up for grabs. There was quite a bit of movement, so please be sure to check carefully and submit. I will have two teams in silver, so I'll grab that league.
Diamond - Laramie, Palolo, Highland, Kansas, Shinbone Gold - Terra Incognita, Cary, Hidden Valley, Norwood Diamonders, Flatbush, Brooklyn Dynasty, Waffletown, Illawarra, El Dorado, Weston Pointe Silver - Death Valley, Asylum, Norwood Red Menace, Daytona Beach, K-Town, Port Ruppert, Hooterville, Krikkit, South Side, Ciudad Trujillo, Brooklyn Untouchables, Hartford, Shangri-La, Brooklyn Pimp Ministers Bronze - Ewa Beach, Transylvania, Ring Road, Chicago Clubbers, Vlora, Sierra Vista, Cat Town, Cochise County, Fort Huachuca, Blitzkrieg, Otonokizaka Iron - Iron Maiden Stone - Ahseboro |

2060 G352 and S298
2 Attachment(s)
As far as I can check, we seem to have caught everyone, but OOTP sorted the teams in their usual crappy manner. Hopefully, the teams off by themselves will get a decent amount of games. I will cover S298, hoping for volunteers with rest. Best of luck.

Pimp Ministers Grab Lead in OL S298
4 Attachment(s)
Brooklyn was on fire, with a 12-4 month, to move to the front of a crowded field. Hartford hung tough, at 7-4, a mark which was equaled by Asylum. Other contenders with winning records were South Side, 2-1, and Port Ruppert, 10-8.

Gold league update:
Norwood makes the most of their limited schedule so far and sits unblemished atop the standings. Waffletown and Cary waiting for their first stumble to move back into the 1-2 spots. |
Transylvania Still Leads in Bronze
4 Attachment(s)
Transylvania is making the most of their limited OL schedule. (Their first OL loss happened in today's first game.) Vlora is making a push, with Cochise County right behind. Still only two teams are under .500 in OL play, with the league ganging up on the dreadful Chicago Clubbers.

Hartford Takes Lead in OL S298 as Race Tightens
4 Attachment(s)
The Whalers took two-of-three games, enabling them to sneak past the stumbling Brooklyn Pimp Ministers, 2-5, who slipped to third. South Side took over second with a 6-3 month. Krikkit, 10-4, Ciudad Trujillo, 11-6, and Hooterville and Shangri-La, both 8-5, kept the chase wide and tight.

Gold league update:

Vlora and Blitzkrieg Surge to the Lead in Bronze
4 Attachment(s)
Only a half-game separated Vlora and Blitzkrieg heading into today's play, and that separation remains after the first two games today. (All stats and standings are after today's first game.) Ring Road, Transylvania, and Cochise County remain in striking distance.

Gooeys Grab Pole Position in OL S298
4 Attachment(s)
South Side streaked to the front of the crown chase, going 7-2, while the Brooklyn Pimp Ministers righted themselves with a 6-1 month to climb into second. Hartford slipped to 4-6 and fell to third. Krikkit, 7-5, manged to stay ahead of the hot Ciudad Trujillo, who went 8-2. Rounding out the top six contenders, Port Ruppert failed to take advantage of a very busy OL schedule, going just 10-10.
|
Vlora Maintains Razor-thin Lead in Bronze
4 Attachment(s)
Vlora stays on top over Blitzkrieg. As noted by Magus previously in the thread, the Boppers, the strongest team overall in Bronze, are hitting .313 and lead the league in all but two offensive categories, but also are 11th in runs allowed. The two teams meet for seven games today.
But the White Stallions and Blitzkrieg are not the only story of OL B309. Four other teams are close behind and could jump in front still. Meanwhile, the Chicago Clubbers remain the punching bag of the AC Central and of the league in general. |

Gold league update:
Norwood continues their march towards an OL crown (if my calculation are right, they just need to go 3-3 in their final 6 OL games to clinch). |

South Side's Torrid Stretch Run Makes Situation Sticky for Chasers in OL S298
4 Attachment(s)
The Gooeys ripped a 16-2 page off the calendar in August, setting themselves up for a seemingly easy task in the chase for the crown. Although there are quite a few games left on the schedule, even a modest seven wins in South Side's last 15 contests, would force the Brooklyn Pimp Ministers, 6-6 in August, to win 14 of 16. The rest of the chasers would need a total Gooey collapse, and near perfect runs to have even the slightest opening, so it's almost a foregone conclusion that South Side will be wearing the Silver crown.

Scorpions update
Sierra Vista not doing much, as usual, in the PT Bronze. HOWEVER, they did win Dishnet's weekly (Bronze this week) tournament on TWITCH last night!
|
Boppers on Top in Bronze
5 Attachment(s)
Blitzkrieg used a very successful day of play to go to the top of OL B309. The Boppers took 4 of 7 from Vlora and have one 3-game series left against the White Stallions. Cochise County is also in the mix, just percentage points behind the top two teams.
{The final wrap-up tomorrow will be delayed until the afternoon, unless someone else would like to jump in and do it in the morning.} |
South Side is Supreme in OL S298
4 Attachment(s)
The Gooeys glided along at a 10-5 pace to claim the crown by a comfortable margin. None of the chasers was able to mount a challenge to South Side's solid stretch run.

Anybody Going to Post Diamond Standings?
There were five teams, so it might be enough for a crown. In any event, only Palolo will remain for next season. The Puppies have made the playoffs as a wild card. The other four will be headed back to gold next season.

Gold league final standings:
Norwood ran the table once they broke into the OL league play and never looked back to claim the Gold tier OL crown. Overall, 5 OL teams make the post season, with Norwood (126-36) the lone entry in the NC and the top seed overall; and the NC with Waffletown (104-58) the top seed, Hidden Valley (99-65) the AC East division champ; and wild cards Weston Point (98-65) vs Cary (94-68). one relegation to Silver - Terra Incognita |
1 Attachment(s)
side note - it was a bit of a wild finish in the AC East, as Hidden Valley and Weston Pointe played game 163 to determine who got the division title and who went to the wild card; and it took extra innings to decide:
|
side note 2:
Weston Point Caspers become the first OL team to break 1000 OL wins in v21 (1024-742).... next up (currently in the 900+ win club): Cary Southpaws (917-696) Port Ruppert Mundys (908-929) Waffletown Syrups (901-791) |

Gold playoff update:
Three OL teams in the LCS and heading to Diamond (Norwood, Hidden Valley and Cary) (irrational side rant: a righty-cheese park in Waffletown should be more than enough to stomp a roster of 8 left handers and all lefty starters.... on the plus side, I get to avoid another 100 loss season at Diamond :p) |
Blitzkrieg Champs of Bronze
5 Attachment(s)
Despite losing their last 4 OL games of the season, Blitzkrieg claimed the OL B309 title by a ½ game over Vlora. Before those four games, the Boppers had won their last seven OL games and last 12 of 13 OL games to clinch the title.
In the playoffs, the White Stallions once again became a victim of Blitzkrieg's vaunted offense. The Boppers dug out of a 2-1 hole to win the Division series in 5 games. Three of the four remaining playoff teams are from the OL, with Blitzkrieg facing off against Cochise County in the AC Sub-League and Transylvania in the NC Sub-League. Those three teams, along with Vlora will be promoted. |

Promotions and Relegations
Although numerous OL teams are still going strong in the playoffs, with World Series match ups still possible, the movement of teams for next week is set. I'll check back in a few hours to hand out hardware, hopefully. I'll also wait for the wrap up to see if anything comes in for diamond. Good luck to those still playing.
Diamond - Highland, Kansas, Laramie, and Shinbone all are headed to gold. Gold - Norwood Diamonders, Hidden Valley, and Cary up to diamond, which will give them four teams, including holdover Palolo (a playoff loser). Terra Incognita back to silver. Silver - Brooklyn Pimp Ministers, Ciudad Trujillo, South Side up to gold. Shangri-La, Death Valley, and Daytona beach back to bronze. Bronze - Blitzkrieg, Cochise County, Transylvania, and Vlora up to silver. Chicago back to iron. Iron - Iron Maiden up to bronze. Stone - Asheboro up to iron. This covers all movement, so you can get a jump on setting up your friends list and submitting. |
