Just for the sake of doing it, Matt Imhof's nickname should be set to "Cyclops".

Any thoughts to give rating and talent increases to both Alex Colome (Tampa closer) and Edwin Diaz (Mariners closer)? Lower stamina from both to be RP only, and increase Stuff / Repertoire?

Awesome thanks for the update!
I assume changes to be reflected in next roster release? Still slated to be released soon? Do you have a list of other players that are receiving +++ to ratings / talents (or at least any major changes if any)? Thanks again for all you and the team do! HP |
Austin Hays is already member of Orioles in recent patch.
He is drafted by Orioles in 2016 draft! |
Devon Fisher (C) of GCL Red Sox is now a pitcher in 2016.

Red Sox minor league SP Michael Kopech should probably get a velocity boost. He's averaging 98mph on his fastball this year. He averaged 100mph last game in which he hit 105mph on the gun.
|
Just see Oddanier Mosqueda (RP) of Pawtucket (AAA).(Age 16)
He has a career in 2013 and 2014 in MLB with no team. He was in double A in previous patch. Now he is in AAA at age of 16. |
Wilson Ramos of the Nationals should have his nickname, "Buffalo".

As mentioned earlier in the thread, Brewers GM David Stearns should be listed as being from New York, NY.

For the sake of mentioning it, the "Diamonbacks 2" typo is still there.

Bryan Baker is on the Rockies Boise Hawks team. He was the 11th Round Draft Pick in the 2016 Draft.
Michael Silva Royals was on the previous rosters but was removed on this last update. Have the players from Curacao found a home yet? |
Ty Culbreth is on the Boise Hawks also. 8th Round Pick in 2016 Draft.

A few international FA's in the default MLB quickstart have major league stats (no ML or pro service years, so it's mostly cosmetic).
Note: Nerio A. Rodriguez also has 9.0 IP in the MLB. |

I noticed that Chase Anderson (SP, Milwaukee Brewers) has stats in his pitching history from the year 2099. Not sure if it's just my game or a roster set thing but I figured I'd bring it up.

With the newest update #9, in the default rosters (not aug 30 version), only 13 of the 600 pitchers in the MLB draft are listed as starters. Quantrill, Whitley, Garrett, etc, are listed as relievers even though their stamina remains good. This causes the pitchers to be undervalued by the AI, as only 10 of the 41 draft picks in the first round are pitchers. As such, it's easy to nab a first-round calibre pitcher in the mid-rounds and convert him to a starter later on.
As noted, this isn't the case with the aug 30 rosters, nor the default rosters with the previous patch, where 2/3 of the pitchers in the draft are starters and around 1/2 of the first round picks are pitchers. |
The Matt Moore contract appears incorrect as prior to 2012 he signed an 8 year contract that includes 2018 and 2019 option years of $9M and $10M (club option buyouts of $1M and 0.75M respectively). There should be a club option buyout of $2.5M for 2017 also.
Chris Archer contract is missing the final year with the contract ending 2020 and 2021 option years of $9M and $11M (club option buyouts of $1.75M and 0.25M respectively). Evan Longoria's club option for 2023 should be $5M and no club option for 2020 should be included. Thanks. |
gerrit cole throws a curveball in real life. Not in game

f.e. We can't change the buyouts. On Longoria, the club option for 2023 is actually 13mil. The buyout is 5mil but we can't change that. |

Mason Thompson, a draft eligible pitcher, has a weight of 1875 pounds.

In Stats & AI, the "Bunt" option is set as Normal for the Carolina League and Dominican Rookie League. It should be set as Often.

Braves Interm Manager named Manager. Rich Renteria White Sox's new Manager. Diamondbacks/Rockies Managers positions still open so is DBacks GM Position. Barry Bonds not Marlins Hitting Coach anymore. Also lots of guys have elected to be a Free-Agent.

I am not sure if it has been mentioned, as I have not gone through all the posts. Cesar E. Gonzalez, a pitcher, is listed as Carlos E. Gonzalez in the newest roster set.
|
International free agent Ricardo Mendez (now of the Nationals organization) is listed as Dominican in the game, but is actually Venezuelan.

Changed Carlos Eduardo Gonzalez from the Mexican League to Carlos Eduardo Gonzalez Vega. Then changed Carlos E. Gonzalez of the Rockies system(1998 dob) to Carlos Eduardo Gonzalez and left IFA Carlos E. Gonzalez (1999 dob) the same. |

Just found this out on the Cuban League:
Barbaro Rodriguez (Saname) (RP) correctly plays (or played) for Holguin. (missing height and weight). Barbaro D. Rodriguez (Delgado) (3B) really plays for Cienfuegos but he's listed in Holguin's squad. I was able to track down another Barbaro Rodriguez (Perez) pitcher who plays for Holguin U23 Tournament. dob 6-20-96 but he's not in the game. I emailed Holguin to see if they have info on Rodriguez Saname. If I receive anything I'll let you know. |

I'm pretty sure I caught and fixed the Barbaro Rodriguez confusion while auditing Cuba a month or so ago. This should be better in 18. |
There is a Tyler Marshburn and a Tyler Mashburn, probably a duplicated player with a typo. Both with same DOB.
DOSL Dbacks hitting coach typo: Not Arenado but Arnedo. Also incorrect place of birth. |
Dominican minor league pitcher Victor (Alexander) Mesa is duplicated in the game. (Not to be confused with Cuban Manager Victor Mesa or his son Victor Victor Mesa)
Also on the could it be possible to differentiate both Lazaros Blancos on the Cuban League as they both carry the same name? Lazaro Blanco (pitcher) Lazaro Emilio Blanco (outfielder) |
Mashburn has been removed, Arnedo has been renamed. Blancos have been differentiated.

Sorry for posting here again, but I went through some of the players who will be part of the WBC:
Xorge Carrillo: Incorrect place of birth, not born in Tempe, Arizona (High School & College). Instead, Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico Rob Cordemans: Appears twice, once active for a Dutch Team -correct-. The other one retired and instead of being Dutch, says Hungarian. Both of them have the incorrect DOB. There's a third Rob Cordemans, correct DOB, pitching coach from same Dutch Team. Chin-Lung Hu: Missing all majors and minors career stats (Dodgers-Mets) No historical nor minors id. Carlos Teran: plays in Italy, incorrect place of birth. Barquisimeto, Lara, Venezuela instead of Italy. Junior Oberto: plays in Italy, incorrect place of birth. Barquisimeto, Lara, Venezuela instead of Italy. Kendy Batista: Appears retired, currently playing winter ball (should he be FA?), missing carrer minor league stats. Randy Consuegra: Appears retired, played winter ball last year in Venezuela and Colombia (should he be FA?), missing carrer minor league stats. |
Thanks for the info
Fixed Birthplaces for Carrillo, Teran, Oberto Deleted duplicate player Cordemans and fixed DOB. Had to leave Cordemans as a coach. Unretired Batista and Consuegra. Will add missing stats when time permits. |
Here's to hoping the OOTP 18 roster set doesn't have eight pages worth of issues.
It's what Howard would have wanted. |
