Catcher Elby Bushong, Jr. was a non-roster invitee with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1968. He died recently on September 11 in Phoenix, Arizona. The photo shows him with his Washington High School baseball team in Phoenix. He was All-State in both football and baseball at that school. He went on to Cal Western University in San Diego, where he became an All-American in baseball.

rlumpkin,
I was pretty fortunate to have met Joel Youngblood, John Vukovich (Reds original 3B in 1975) and Don Gullet.
They were guest instructors my last year I played baseball.
All 3 were really cool.
I was mostly in Coach Vuck's group. He was really funny guy. But, I learned a lot from him.
Last useless info. Don Gullet was born and raised near my hometown. Actually, I passed his house every time I'd visit my future wife.

The county put up a small monument to him in the courthouse square.
I have a picture of it somewhere on Facebook. If I can find it I'll share that too if you'd like.

I am good friends with Jim Driscoll. He once told me that he had a good spring with the Reds in '73, was going to make the team, but when they got Phil Gagliano near the end of ST, Jim became the odd man out and he got sent to Indianapolis.
