Diamond and Bronze

2 Attachment(s)
Here are the setups, 3 of the 5 in Diamond are in the same division. In Bronze I see a team-Old Town Black Bears-OL that arent on the spreadsheet (or at least as of last night when I updated my Friends). I will handle Diamond and if nobody wants to do Bronze I will do it every couple of days.

Neither of my teams, while sitting on some points have made any changes as the AH needs to stabilize a bit.

Thanks, edster007! Coney Island kindly destroyed Krikkit in the division series to prevent them from a week of humiliation at diamond level.

Three one run wins, with a little luck I'd be thanking you :) See you next week.

Old Town seems to have added the OL tag without ever posting here to request to join, so might need to review their lineup to see if they are actually compliant.... my 2 cents, I'd still be inclined to exclude them from the standings until they post here to formally join the group

looks like everyone from Bronze to Diamond made it in the right league.... Iron missed the Yardgoats, and the two Stone league teams are in different leagues, so double check your friend's lists and make sure it's all set right.

Silver league:

only 5 teams this season, with Waffletown, Hartford and Blitzkrieg all in the AC West, while Norwood and Hooterville are isolated in separate divisions in the NC (so one/both might not get enough games for the 10 minimum depending on inter-league play)

As usual OOTP does it's usual lopsided job of setting the teams, with 9 of 12 in the AC. A quick check of the the three lone wolves shows a healthy slate of league games, however. Seems wed didn't overlook anyone, but I can't see anything below bronze, so here's hoping that iron and below got into the league. Good luck this week. My three teams also made no changes. Got a little busy this weekend and didn't get to open any tourney packs.

For the logos, just copy them to your desktop or whatever folder you want, then go to customize team. and after it finishes loading the stock logos, choose to load your own. Then load it in, and hit submit team, and you should be good to go. The Lumberton team is on hiatus from OL, but I don't think it matters for now since you'll have teams not in your level for awhile.

gaaaaa! Once again didn't put me in the other OL team's league. I'm not sure what else to do. doesn't matter all that much until there are more of us at that level, but annoying.

if everything is set right on your end, then it might be the other team(s)... hopefully when you move up to where more of the OL teams are at, that won't be a problem

for an "enjoy the little things" post....

in news from Waffletown's barnstorming tourney team, Charlie Root pitches a no-hitter in the Daily Early Iron tournament! (just one walk away from a perfect game)

Unfortunately it feels to me that the way AH prices are trending, when it stabilizes the high end cards will be around 20-30k higher (in general) than I want! :(

Here's a question for you baseball geniuses. Brigadoon has the following players in the infield:

* 100 OVR Cal Ripken, 1B
* 98 OVR Reese, 2B [locked]
* 100 OVR Wagner, SS
* 100 OVR Appling, 3B

I completed some missions, but the Ripken was a pack pull. The question is this: is there a better use of resources than having Ripken at 1st? I know the card sells for > 100k, and I sort of think I could sell it and get a different card that would be about as good a hitter (but worse on defense, but who cares!). Like the 97 OVR Frank Thomas or the 99 Cabrera. Heck, or I could save up and get the 96 Anson, which everyone and his brother loves.

The point is ,I'm not sure I'm 100% sold that having Ripken there is good.

On the other hand - it's a pretty freaking good card and there's a chance that I'll end up with performance that's as only as good or worse when I'm done. Plus it's not clear to me that a team that wants to improve should sell a card like that!

So assuming you could net 110k for the card... if you guys were in this situation would you sell? I have some PP banked but not a ton, if that matters.

Selling a different guy or standing pat are also valid answers! Thanks for any input.

If he's producing, I'd wait a little while to see if the AH settles down at all. It can't stay this way forever, can it? What's that you say? Oh...it could get worse. :ohmy:

Annandale thanks Ring Road for 3800 PP. Our bright days are few and far between so it is appreciated for real and not in a mean way. :D

No crown to be had in Iron, as it's just Otonokizaka and Daytona Beach. They will play 4 times this season as they are in opposite conferences.

i;d only keep ripken at 1b if you are going for some super duper defensive team

Not much to report from April. Hidden Valley took 2 of 3 from Kansas in the only OL action of the day.

The Keepers had the highest percentage, but the Southpaws made the biggest strides, posting a dozen wins in the first month. Port Ruppert remained on the sidelines, but expect a spirited chase for the crown. My quick check of the schedules indicated that each team has at least 20 OL games.

Silver league update:

Hartford and Waffletown jump out to solid starts for the first month. Norwood will be the odd man out in this seasons schedule with just 7 games against Hooterville.

I hate it when my teams are in the same division!

Interesting perspective on the potential sale of Ripken. I’m thinking about it!

As for Bedford Falls, they won their third league series in a row but got promoted into a buzz saw of a division where one of the teams has a rotation full of 100s. So I do not think we will be seeing a 4-peat...

:laugh: Fitting, because the Rams are completely over their head in Gold.

As long as we're getting bombed, it's good that it benefits another OL team. And don't worry about being mean...I love some quality trash talk :D
