Man, that would hurt.

I looked it up the Reds got Gagliano on march 27, 1973. Mr Driscoll wasn't joking. It was literally days before opening day.

I looked on line for about an hour or so earlier. Tomorrow, I will drag out my yearbooks again. I don't think I missed him...but possible.

He was 37th/38th round pick that lasted 2 years. He might prove to be a hard one lol.

The attached photo accompanied an article about Lee Adams and how he was unsuccessful in pitching with the Reds' affiliate in Eugene, Oregon, and was currently turning toward playing football at Florida State University. The photo and article were in the Pensacola News Journal of Aug. 1, 1979.

He appeared in the newspapers as Bill Davis and Billy Davis. Sorry, but I didn't find any photos of him in the Tampa or Indianapolis papers, which would have been the most likely sources. I have no access to newspapers for Trois-Rivieres, Canada.

Since you live in Tampa, maybe the main Tampa Library would have a team photo with him in it, or could recommend some place where you could find one. He pitched in 23 games in Tampa in 1973, with an ERA of 2.97, so I would think his performance would have earned his photo to have been taken somehow.
