Generic Photos
1 Attachment(s)
I got kind of tired of some of the generics and figured I'd share the easy way of replacing them with those who do not know. This is much easier than saving the same Generics of your choice under many filenames in the various IMAGE folders.
Here's the path right from the beginning: My Computer C: (or whatever your hard drive is) Program Files OOTB Developments TBCB2 Skins Default Common Just d/l the pic here and replace the one with the same filename in that COMMON folder. NOTE: You MUST leave it in .bmp format. Otherwise, crash city. Here's a judge EDIT (2/10/08): For 2.5, the file structure to find the default generics is: C Program files OOTP Developments TBCB 2.5 Data Skins Default Common Files must now be saved as .PNG Copies of generic photos for 2.5 begin on Page 3 of this thread |

cornerman . . . as I like to say, beats a blurry face . .

If you're unsteady when navigating your directories or aren't sure you want to make the change, just save the current files in the COMMON folder under another name like ORIGdefimg_referee, so they will be easy to find and change back later if you wish.
|
In bmp format, my generic venue is too big to post . . but the filename should be:
defimg_venue should you find one you like, just rename it and save it in the COMMON folder (being sure to use a .bmp). I just use "generic.jpg" in the venue directory and change the format and name. |

Great idea & much appreciated.
As pretty much a computer illiterate, I really appreciate that you included a simple tutorial. If I can do it, anyone can. |

Question: Is the game actually coded to pick up on the skin tone for the generics? I had thought that part was ornamental at this juncture. |
Those pics are just the face shots . . not used for animation.
maybe some day!! Also, I'd love to see the background in the animated pics have more people on their feet for a knockdown and perhaps another for KO. I'd do one up, but all I have/can use are Paint and Microsoft Office Picture Manager. I'm guessing there are some better graphics programs out there. Does anyone know? P.S. Chris, I did some pretty good editing if I do say so myself on the spit bucket to get a flower shadow out of there. But a whole crowd would take years from scratch with Paint. |

Great job again on the spit bucket - it will be in use shortly. By the way, you should re-post your venue generics in this thread. Top notch idea. |

In bmp format, it is over 100KB, and thus will not post.
Here is the jpg. To use it as I suggested with the others in this thread, you must save it as a bmp. Then place it in the "Common" folder as outlined in the first post in the thread. In order to save it as a bmp, you can use the "export" function if you have MOPM, OR save this to your desktop, right click on it and choose "Open With" and then select Paint. From there save it again (this time it will be a bmp) and move it as outlined. |

I'm always amazed at what gets a lot of response on the board and what doesn't. Some pretty good threads go by the boards with little fanfare. During the role-play tourney I posted an offer to run a role play universe and got no response. Now there's a similar thread with like 60 responses. And honestly, I thought very few people would take an interest in this. I'm glad thats not the case. |

Here's another one for the "Unknown" fighter. While poking around for figher images, I found one with a good shadow and cropped it.

Great new movie!

Maybe I was off topic with that movie poster post? Oh well, it had to be seen. It was discovered during my research for more ring card girls.
