Use the schedule editor screen and delete whatever schedule you have currently and then use the import function to import the one you want.
Most of the settings for schedule setup will be overridden when you import a schedule file, as its settings will take precedence. The primary setting in the game which remain regardless are the schedule length - most other details are drawn from the schedule file itself. So as long as you're selecting the file that has the criteria you want, you won't have to fill out anything else manually.
Once the file is imported, teams will be automatically shuffled around the schedule each year with no further input from you, as in previous versions. There's no need to import a new schedule each year.
Two settings to take note of:
1) The setting for forcing the start of the schedule on a certain weekday will ensure that series fall on the proper days of the week in all subsequent seasons. If you disable this, the season will then instead begin on the specified date in the file, and since the day of the week for a given day changes each year, series will slide through the week as your years progress.
2) The "Hold All-Star Game" setting turns on All-Star Games. The game will then draw the date for the ASG from the date specified for it in the schedule file.
3) The "Auto-Schedule All-Star Game" tells the game to automatically schedule an All-Star Game and break. This option should be used for schedules which don't have an ASG date and break defined in them but you want an ASG anyway. Note though that the game does this by selecting a week in which to hold the ASG and then inserts a three-day break into the schedule to accommodate it, thus pushing back all games afterwards three days later than they were set in the schedule.
