PxP Speed
 

Is it just me, or is the play-by-play SLOWER post-patch. I'm running the patch on the same computer with the same settings, and the PxP seems to be crawling along while set to "very fast".

I have seen the same thing. I have yet to try the customize setting to see if I can come up with an adjustment, but even on Very Fast it seems to be significantly slower after the patch.

Of course, I sat here wondering what everyone was talking about when they said the PxP was initially FASTER than 6.5 pre-patch. I didn't see that as the case. Now, it seems to crawl.

I changed my setting to "Custom" with a delay of "0" and did it by "line" and things have sped up a bit. Not much, but a bit.

Yes it is, and it seems to be related to how quickly the game is churning the text out too. I had it on a 90ms delay in the pre-patch version and it was just slow enough for me to read, but it's actually slower when I set it to a 1ms delay now.

I would like an option to have the PbP scroll on the left side of the screen like the previous version. I don't like it at the bottom in the small box. It is definitely not instantaneous like before.

I miss "instantaneous."

To add to the delay is the fact that the buttons and text are sharing the same box. So you have to wait for the text to clear and the buttons return before you can select another pitch. Just one more reason why I do not like pitch by pitch.

This issue has been claimed fixed and verified in the next patch.

In my limited experience, it seems that the PxP speed with 1.0.2 is much faster than before, and the lag between plays has been significantly diminished.
