Bug:Leap Year and Lahman Import (youngest player ever)

For Instance:

Al Rosen was born on 2/29 and is imported with a birthyear of whatever year the new game starts with plus (or minus) No birth month and no birth day and it can't be edited as in the edit screen you can't click on the birthday field. It is the equivalent of a windows grayed out box. Game makes him a newborn manning (or is it babying) 3rd base for the Indians! As a one year old his ratings really tanked!

If it was possible to edit this birthday it would be no big deal but you can't so it sorta is. I changed the Lahman birthdate to 2/28 as a workaround.

Here's a dumb Question.

What other players were born on a Feb 29th? Examples please, and I'll try to duplicate Sunday night.

appleed01
autryal01
fryje01
gielpa01
longbi01
longte01
martipe01
millera03
mingost01
parkero01
pearcdi01
rosenal01

These Lahman ID's are for players born 2/29

I realize this is a potentially serious bug - since it ruins the player's "career." But it's also kinda funny :D

Very odd. Trying to duplicate using Ralph Miller. Born 2/29/1896. He's 23 in my game, in 1920.

Imports from Arod/Garlon as 23 year old born on 2/28/1896. Same with Lahman.

I shall rebuild using each database for a 1950 sim and try Al Rosen.

Raidergoo 06-11-2006 08:19 PM

1950 Lahman imported Al Rosen as being born on 2/28/1924.

1950 Arod/Garlon imported Al Rosen as being born on 2/28/1924.

I can't duplicate the error. Can you post a screenshot?

Is there any update on this issue? Last we heard, Raidergoo was trying to get some help replicating the issue. Can you let us know the specific historical database and year you were using when you ran into this issue?

Thanks very much!

Steve

We have a new rule that states that Tech Support threads wherein we have not received a response within 7 days will be closed.

This one meets this criteria, so I'm closing this.

If you want to discuss it again, just PM me with the thread link, and I'll re-open. (Don't just say "Hey, reopen my thread." I need to know the URL, thanks!)

Steve
