Trade Deadline
 

I have my trade deadline set for the 31st in an MLB league that started in the year 2005 with Arod/Garlon's roster set. I'm now in 2009, and I just noticed that although it's August, I'm still getting trade proposals. I haven't noticed this in any other year, so it may have just started. I've actually also noticed that a lot of these features seem to turn themselves on and off. For instance, though I haven't changed any of my settings in the 4 years that my league has been running, this year seems to be the first year where the rosters expand in September. Also, except for the first sim year, 2005, there has been no rule 5 draft. This is for the mac version.

Any ideas?

the are still waiver wire deal that can be done in august....the trade will be sent to you and if you accept all players in the deal must clear waivers for it to go through.... if they are claim the deal is dead....it is a way to do deals after the deadline until august 31st....but it also allows for teams to block trades at this point.....it is one of those wierd baseball rules!!!!

Really? OOTP includes this feature? I mean I knew it happened in the real MLB, but....

Still, that doesn't explain the other stuff

This is a bug which hopefully will be fixed in the next patch.

So sorry for the hideously slow response to this thread. :( I'm trying to keep up with the post 1.0.2 stuff while pecking away at these older threads as well.

The Rule 5 draft issue has purportedly been fixed, and as you saw above, post-deadline trading is a feature in this game.

I haven't experienced any of the other problems you have mentioned. At this point, can you provide any more specific information about features that have "turned off" mysteriously?

I'm hesitant to log a bug without tracking this down a little further. Let me know if you have any more information!

We have a new rule that states that Tech Support threads wherein we have not received a response within 7 days will be closed.
