Scouting a nation
 

Under the Nation profile screen, I do not have a scount nation option at the bottom of the screen. I have installed patch #1 , but the problem is not fixed. What I am I doing wrong?

1. Go to Game menu --> game Setup.
2. On the left side of the screen will be grayed out text reading "Create and Maintain Hidden Players"
3. Is this box checked, or unchecked? If it is unchecked, then there is no scouting of nations allowed, because there are no hidden players there waiting to be found.

Also, nations that have leagues in them cannot be scouted. For example, if there is a Japan league, you cannot send your scouts to scout Japan.

I see the Create and Maintain Hidden Players option on the screen, but it is unchecked & it will not let me check it. The words are grey and not highlighted. Is there another option I need to turn on? Thank you so much for the help.

I believe it is something that must be checked at game creation, once the game is created it is no longer an option.

Andymac is correct. Unfortunately, the league you created cannot have hidden players.

You'll have to start a new game. :(

Hidden players is checked by default--I'm not crazy, right?

This is just like the second or third person I've seen not know about it, yet have it unchecked...

You are correct, except I believe the default is unchecked if you import an historical season....
