When I try and open the program, post patch, I get this message:

"Unable to open graphics. Make sure your screen resolution is 1024*768 (this did not work) and that your windows taskbar is not set to always remain on top."

Any idea? I don't understand the whole taskbar thing.

I am assuming this is a PC and not a Mac.

The program requires AT LEAST a 1024*768 screen resolution. You can change this by right clicking on an empty spot on desktop and select properties. Click on settings and adjust it to at least 1024*768.

The taskbar is that bar across the bottom of your desktop. This is where it shows what programs are running. if you click on it with your RIGHT mouse button and select properties, it will bring up a window that you can remove the KEEP THE TASKBAR ON TOP OF OTHER WINDOWS checkmark.

This only effects you if you are playing in windowed mode. If your problem persists, you'll have to play in full screen.

Oh sure. Well, I had to set my screen to 1024x768 and turn off the task bar lock thing. Once I opened the game, I changed everything back to normal and it worked fine. Even after I restarted the game it opens up in a window that does not fit my entire screen which is exactly what I want.

Sort of a hassle, and I doubt if someone like my mom (who thought html stood for hotmail) would be able to figure it out but I got it!

And I don't know whether this has any direct impact, but are you using a laptop?

Yes, I am using an HP Pavillion zv5000.
