Can't get facegen to work...

I have started two games following the instructions and using pretty much default setting but in both I do not have faces. When I look at game setup it says that "facegen was not initialised" when infact I asked for the faces to be created as the players were created. What have I done wrong? I need some advice please. Very frustrating.

What video card do you have?

Markus Heinsohn 03-22-2007 10:25 AM

Update your video card drivers please!

Steve Kuffrey 03-22-2007 10:26 AM

Try updating your video drivers.

I have the ATI Radeon 9800 pro. 128MB. How is the best way to update the driver. I kind of a computer dunce.

Andreas Raht 03-22-2007 10:47 AM

Generally spoken, start Google and search for

ati driver download

Replace ati with your graphic card's vendor. Then find the latest driver version and install it on your computer.

I belive the ATI driver section is down ATM. Hopefully it will be back up shortly.

Andreas Raht 03-22-2007 11:07 AM

Yes, the site is down... Probably you find the driver on another server using Google search.

GBS, you could try here:

GBS,

Run your "windows update" found in "Start" - "all programs" - somwhere at the top of the list.

It will give a list....hit custom updates

Then find "hardware optional"

I did that for my ati raedon 9200 a week ago to prepare...there was an updated driver there for it. Facegen works fine for me.......

We have a rule in Tech Support that says that requests that have gone more than 3 days awaiting a response from the customer will be closed. This thread fits that bill, so I'm going to go ahead and marked this issue as "closed."

If you disagree, please let us know, it's no problem to re-open this. It's an administrative thing we do to try to ensure that only active issues are being researched.

Thanks very much!

Steve
