Problem licensing on the mac
 
I'm unable to license the game on my MacBook Pro. I get the eSellerate opening dialog and hit the option key to get the Reinstall button. I enter my order number and email address and get the following message:
ERROR: The order information you entered does not match our records. Please double-check your entry and try again. You must be using the same version of the software to reinstall as you originally used to purchase.

I'm using the correct information and if I look at the eSellerate confirmation dialog it does pull my personal info back just not the Order info.

Any suggestions?

.....Cancel out, it will take you into the game in demo mode. When you get in, click the activate button at the bottom of the screen and enter the registration number.

I actually tried that first and then tried the Reinstall thing after reading the manual.

I tried it again anyway and it still doesn't work. I tried with both the order number and the serial number - neither works.

Any other ideas?

Why are you using the "reinstall" option? Did it not work the first time you installed, and then cancelled out of it?

Also, make sure you are using the 35 digit serial number when you're activating in the game.

If I'm interpreting the manual correctly, that's what it says to do on page 35.
When I start up the app, it goes into the eSellerate wizard and wants my credit card, etc. Since I've already purchased the game, I'm assuming I don't need to re-enter the info.

I am entering the 35-digit serial number (including the dashes).

At this point, I kind of wish I just ordered the windows version. :)

OK, I tried for the 10th time to activate the game with my serial number for the heck of it and it worked.

I'm glad it worked. seems that it must have been a problem with eSellerate, and not OOTP.

Yup, I don't think it was an ootp thing but eSellerate and it looks like it was isolated to me.

It also took me a handful of tries this afternoon at about 6pm -- perhaps some eSellerate server was down or busy?
