If your running a PC ...try to e-mail eLicense at:

support@elicense.com

Give them your name and e-mail address, they will send your Order ID.

TC Dale 03-23-2007 11:05 AM

PM Marc Duffy first to have him check for you.

Darcy_Helbreth 03-23-2007 12:19 PM

The serial number comes in the email sent to you after you license the game through esellerate. It's 35 digits long, I hope that helps.

Darcy_Helbreth 03-23-2007 12:45 PM

How and when do I liscense the game?

I downloaded it and can run it with demo warning pop ups.

I didnt recieve a confirmation email from OOTP or esellerate.

Ive tried all 3 links to download game and they have all done same thing.

Darcy_Helbreth 03-23-2007 12:56 PM

Sorry, I licensed the game when i downloaded it. But no confirmation e-mail.

PS I pre-ordered the game, so it wasnt a recent purchase.

When you first started the game, you should have been presented with an eSellerate licensing screen. From there you would have had to enter your order ID that was sent to you when you pre-ordered. For more info, you can get very detailed info and screen shots of what was "Supposed" to happen on or around page 35 of the game guide. Check that out, try the steps, and report back if your still having the problem.

Darcy, you should have received a 35-digit code from e-Sellerate shortly after you purchased the game, even if it was a while back.

It sounds like you never received this code. If this is the case, there's nothing you can do other than play in demo mode, until you hear back from Marc, as he has to contact e-Sellerate to straighten things out.

Thanks,

Steve

Are the first seven digits of this code: ootpb07 ? I've been inputting what claims to be the serial number and it isn't being accepted. It's also overflowing the field. Should I be including the hyphens?

TC Dale 03-23-2007 07:11 PM

I would try it without the hyphens first.. then see what happens

battists 03-23-2007 09:46 PM

Er, let me try to round up a Mac person...:@@:

yes, and you need to include the hyphens.

Thank you, Robster. Unfortunately, I didn't read your response until after I figured it out on my own. Frustration was high, but now it's gone.

Marc Duffy 03-24-2007 04:13 AM

Yes, the code is 35 digits, begins with ootp2007 and you must copy it all (including the spaces)

Curtis 03-24-2007 06:02 AM

Marc, it actually begins with 'ootpb07'.

Curtis 03-24-2007 06:03 AM

Double Post.

battists 03-24-2007 08:15 AM

Curtis,

Did we miss something in the instructions somewhere, such as in the manual, that would have cleared this up?

Curtis 03-24-2007 09:19 PM

Oh, probably not. I just went back and looked at the form from which I had copied (correctly) the registration number, and you people did it exactly the way I would've.

The real problem came from release-day information overload. Two of the people who posted in the General Discussions forum said that the number was 25 digits in length, and one said that the 25 included the dashes. This resulted in me inputting all sorts of different combinations of portions of the code in order to get it down to 25.

The frustrating part was that every time I entered the wrong code, instead of putting me back where I could try again, I was given the choice of playing the game as a demo or quitting out and reloading. Reloading is a very long process in 2007, and it got old fast.

Did the thread originator ever get their problem resolved?
