Using custom logos
 

I imported my league from 6.5, i realize the game is using png files instead of bmp files for logos, I converted my old league's logos into png but they dont show up when i dropped them into the data (in documents not program files) folder. I do apologize if this has been addressed, I could not find it however and I'm anxious to get down to business, im sure you all understand.

You need to put your custom logos in either the logos or team logos folder. I am not sure which it needs to be so I have mine in both. If you get the RGB numbers for your logos, you can rename them so their team colors are automaticly set up for you.

They would look like this: Milwaukee_Brewers_000066_FFFFFF

I am still having trouble, I renamed the files the way you described, made sure they are in png format and had them in logos under the data folder. I dont see the team logos folder you are describing. Sorry for being a bother.

I think maybe I am just having trouble understanding how the process for using custom logos works in the new version.. is it like 6.5 where you drop a logo file somewhere and then simply "load" it? or does the computer have to be able to search for it and find it itself?

Because I have the logos saved as png files in the data/logos folder but when i go to look for the file I know is there, it doesnt show up in game.

im pretty sure they have to go in the \saved_games\savegame\news\html\images\

put them there and then reload the saved game and it should work ok.

Man I feel like an idiot but I still can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I read the customization guidei n the mod forum, I have the files formatted to png and placed in the places it says the game looks for logos, but when i import the league the computer still assigns generic logos and wont let me see the ones I know I have placed in the proper folders when I go to manually load them.

If you have the logos in the right format and file location then perhaps it is the file name that is the problem.

Just try the team name w/o the RGB first. Minnesota_twins for example. See if that works.

I set the team names how you described above, it still only sees 2/16 total league logos and when i try to load those it says "cannot save the file either in use or write protected." Checked the task manager and the file isnt in use and i checked the security settings, it doesnt appear to be write protected. Obviously this is something I am doing wrong and not a bigger issue but man it is discouraging, all i wanted to do all day yesterday was come home and modify my 6.5 league into a new universe :(

You got this message when renaming the files? If so, close the game when you do the renaming.

This may help us: Since there are only 16 teams, could you please post the exact names of your teams, and the exact file names of the logos you are trying to use?

The good news is, I think this should absolutely be fixable. It can just be a little tricky. :)

We have a rule in Tech Support that says that requests that have gone more than 3 days awaiting a response from the customer will be closed. This thread fits that bill, so I'm going to go ahead and marked this issue as "closed."
