Crash, can't reload

Crash during the first year player draft. Now the game loads to 100% and hangs. Sending a file to the FTP.

The file name is crash bug_JonahFalcon.zip, uploaded to the JonahFalcon folder.

Jonah, download the new patch and have a go at it again. Please post back soon if the problem continues to occur. :)

Unfortunately, the game's still crashed.

Did you try this with a new game created with the post patch version?

I don't know how to recreate the bug. I was hoping to salvage the current save file.

I feel your pain Jonah. I've been through the same kind of thing countless times during beta testing. But in this case, on the bright side even, there's a new patch that could solve this problem. Unfortunately, you may have to start from scratch and see if all works well. Again, on the bright side, it just may work!

Let us know!! :)

Okay, it now freezes at "Loading Messages". What .dat file should I delete?

Good news - after 10 minutes, the game finally completely loaded.

On the bad side, it's reverted to Jan 1, not June 1. Odd.

Good that it finally loaded, though you may still encounter problems with it.

It reverted back to Jan 1 because that was the last time it saved the files. Unless you change the autosave option, it always saves on Jan 1 and when you exit the game. Since it didn't exit properly the last time, it reverted back to the last time it saved.

Ah, c'est la vie. No big loss. You guys have the original file. Have at it.

Thanks Jonah. The best way to help Markus kill bugs is to find ways to replicate them. Do let us know if you encounter the same thing with a new game file.
