All-Star games pre 1930's?

I started my historical league in 1901 and noticed they didn't have an All-Star game. I was wondering if when I get to the 1930's when the All-Star games started if they will then be included in the schedule?

Also I tried to put in an All-Star game into my 1901 season and went to the league setup screen before even simming a day and can't figure out how to get the game into the season.

Yes, they should. The first All-Star Game was played in 1933.

Yes, this is one of the things the game automatically changes for you. But stuff like Rule 5, waivers, FA, arbitration, etc., you have to change manually because the game does not add those items when they actually happened IRL.

And that's key...because Free Agency was not in effect, or even discussed until Curt Flood made it an issue in the 70's. Year after Year...playing for the same team.

How exactly does the all-star game selection work in the early days? I noticed a lot of good players (HOF players) that never appeared in an all-start game. Seems kind of strange and it was after 1933.

From here you can see the different teams and locations of the all star games: http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/history/all_star.jsp

Here's another from The Sporting News: http://archive.sportingnews.com/feat...star/1933.html

Here's some more information about how it was started:
