Popularity edits won't stick: bug or feature?
 

I'm playing a 1987 historical career where Bo Jackson is listed as unknown/unknown. It didn't seem right to me since he had been first pick of the 1986 NFL draft and there was a lot of hoopla about him going to baseball, so I changed him to well known. A few games later, he was back at unknown. I changed him again, later he's unknown. A third time, unknown again.

I thought, there's got to be a be a bug somewhere that's keeping my edits from sticking. Then again, he was a rookie and hadn't really produced yet, so maybe the game saw no reason for him to be well known and changed him back for that reason.

Anyway, I thought I'd bring it up just in case it is a bug.

When you edit the popularity settings, there is a checkmark box right under them to lock them. Check that and they shouldn't change anymore.

Otherwise, they do reset at the end of the week to where the game feels their popularity rating should be, which is a feature. :)

that explains it. they put that right in front of my eyes where I'd never find it. If that check box were in some obscure place deep inside league setup, I would have found it easily. But putting it right next to where you make the edit, that's devious.
