Does anyone actually man these boards?

or are they here simply for appeasement?

The Tech Support is run by volunteers, and we start at the oldest posts and work our way up. So you just have to be patient, if you need immediate help, find one of our AIM's and we can help you out, but do not under any circumstance bump your thread because then it will take even longer to answer.

No offense, but just how are volunteers supposed to support or resolve what is clearly a program code failure due to an unTrapped/unrecoverable error?

This is not intended to be any kind of slight, but unless you guys have access to the actual game developers, I see no way that this problem will be resolved, and without the ability to autoplay an online league, I'd say their product is pretty much useless. And so would the OTHER 16 GMs who purchased it.

And while I appreciate the hard work of volunteers, it would be nice to know within say, 6-8 hours, whether or not anyone has actually even looked at the problem, and where it is in the pipeline, if anywhere, rather than be bombarded with silence.

The volunteers log bugs that Markus then takes a look at and fixes prior to releasing betas of the next patch. The beta members then test to make sure those fixes actually work as advertised.

My current issue, "database corruption", is keeping me from playing the game period. I've noticed I'm not the only one with this problem. It would be nice if someone could at least approach Markus about a possible interim solution. I don't think any of us want to wait until the next version release to play this game we paid hard-earned coins for.

Sorry, guys. You're stuck with us volunteers for now, and it's clear that we've gotten overwhelmed and far behind on acceptable Tech Support response time.

The best way to ensure a response is to provide as much detail as you can in your post, and try to look into the particular situations when your problem does and does not occur. It can literally take hours of effort to draw out information from someone who doesn't do any exploration on their own, and unfortunately most volunteers don't have that time.

If you've got some sort of issue with the game crashing, it will usually save a step if you FTP your saved game files as outlined here: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=141258
